beautiful location and friendly, helpful staff. superb breakfast. Clean and comfortable. wonderful wedding venue.
difficulty accessing the wedding website
Location, staff very friendly, comfortable nice room
Sauna and Steam room were not working and the staff were not even aware - pool area and leisure centre could do with a bit of revamp - modernisation. Food was ok but not great - very mass produced style - would benefit from more bar style meals offered as well in the dinner menu
Food was very good as was the selection on the menu. The countryside around the hotel was beautiful with lots of wildlife and the river at the bottom of the front lawn was very spectacular. It was also within walking distance from town but far enough away to not spoil the peace and quiet of the countryside. Also courtesy bus to town was useful and young drivers were very chatty
One point - the kingsize bed was made up of two singles but it was not comfortable to lie in the middle where the beds joined. It really needed to have a thin mattress topper to make the join not so easily felt when lying on it. Another point was the entrance from car park to reception which is the way most people would be entering the hotel for the first time - I was surprised to see that it was quite tatty and could do with a little freshening up and floor boards need varnished but it is not something which would put us off going back because the hotel is in a beautiful part of the countryside.
The staff were very helpful on our arrival. The room we ended up in was very nice and the setting is lovely.
I found the cost of the rooms very expensive as such It is only used as a treat. The food was good but not as good as previous visits. Drinks I also found very expensive.
Breakfasts and leisure center
Being in Dunkeld. The swimming pool. The public areas. Our shower was very good.
Our room was disappointing in general and not what I've experienced before at Dunkeld House. My recommendations will be with some misgiving. "Deluxe" does not describe the room we stayed in.
Stunning location, staff friendly, leisure good.
Hotel food could be better - breakfast not very smooth in operation and hotel lacked atmosphere (although this was a midweek stay!) - more suited to older visitors rather than younger people
Hotel grounds beautiful. Spa facilities good - changing area a bit cramped though
Rooms nice but small. Halls and doors etc could do with a refurb
Room in new wing all staff excellent and friendly especially the lady receptionist
First room just looked air conditioning units and was very noisy
Dunkeld House facilities are superb and the experience is always relaxing.
Rooms a little tired. Overpriced soft drinks - 2 colas for just under £5 - not acceptable. Asked for extra towel at pool and told no - not hotel policy!!
Beautiful setting; excellent well-maintained grounds; friendly, helpful staff; good and varied breakfast; good traditional, well-kept interior. The walks around the hotel and the Tay are wonderful and the scenery magnificent.
The room we occupied - 208 - was very cramped, although we were told it was an upgrade. The interior lighting was very bad, both in the bedroom and adjoining ensuite bathroom. Unable to see well to insert contact lenses or put on eye make up etc. It was the worst lighting I have encountered in an hotel. In hotels I have visited, bathroom lighting is super sharp. Reading light in the bedroom not adequate. Low lighting can be good sometimes, but not if it can't be stepped up if required for business or pleasure reading etc.. Dinner was fine, but not excellent, for the cost, and so after the first night we opted to eat outside the hotel. The tv was 'snowy' when we first arrived and we had to ask for this to be attended to. It was fine after this and a day later new flat screen TVs were installed.
