Wonderful staff and great location
Lovely view from the room and well kept gardens and surrounds.
We were warned by another guest in the carpark that at reception we would need to press a button for attention. Fifteen minutes later after a couple of more presses a staff member finally arrived. Basically the same when checking out but after five minutes I left our room key on the desk and departed. Pokey room.
Excellent room overlooking beach. Room was clean and adequately appointed.
Disappointed with restaurant experience. Wanting to experience the fresh local seafood, we were advised that the local seafood (mussels and crayfish) were not available and that the Fish of the Day which according the the menu was 'fresh locally caught fish' was in fact burramundi (a Nth Australian variety).
This is a lovely historic hotel in a fabulous location. Our room was tasteful and very comfortable. The common areas were inviting and well decorated. There was a choice of casual and more formal dining both of which were tasty and well priced. Staff went over and above to ensure everyone felt welcome and comfort ensured.
Breakfast was a little ordinary.
