The location and the views from the hotel can't be beaten! It was SO EASY to get to transportation and to the major tourist attractions. Breakfast was lovely with a lot of options. The rooms are just a bit stuffy.
The room was not cleaned properly, bins not even emptied. A hole in the bed sheet. Not even a small fridge for milk. Shabby all over. Excellent location, but the room/stay was definitely not worth the price paid.
On paper a good location with great city views. Reality however was if you have the city view room, the outside road (princes street) is extremely loud/noisy at night. The combination of facilities being dated in the hotel with no air conditioning led to the window being opened and many a troubled nights sleep. On the topic of dated facilities, the bathrooms cold do with an upgrade, plus our room had missing plugs from both the bath and sink. Overall, good spot for city sights, just not worth the money. No issues with the staff, friendly and attentive - more the status of the building leads to the rating.
