San Juan Eco Hotel

Great Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good Tourist Center inside the Hotel! Very Close to Airport and on the road to the Waterfalls (Brazilian Side)

The breakfast was nice and there was lots of choice. Pool bar / bar staff were efficient and made good caipirinhas. Drinks were reasonably priced. Laundry service was quick and cheap; we had our things back the same day. Tour office available in the hotel; we booked the Falls through them which was reasonable in terms of price, but to go to the Marcas 3 Fronteras we organised a return taxi through reception as this was cheaper. Reception staff were friendly enough and spoke basic English to aide check in.

The room was very basic and in need of modernisation, as was much of the hotel. There was a lot of renovation works going on throughout the hotel which meant it was noisy. There isn’t much else to do in the area (no fault of the hotel, this is more generally) so once you’ve done the Falls bear in mind you could be bored especially if the weather is bad. We arrived on the early morning flight (09:30) and got to the hotel about 10; there was no option for an early check in unless we paid for another day, which was a little annoying given the hotel wasn’t full or at least half full so there were plenty of rooms we could have stayed in instead.

Everything is great but the water in swimming would be benefit if it heated weather. Also would be nice if it has jacuzzi outside aswell.

Lovely pool area, big rooms, staff tried to speak a little English, very close to waterfalls, breakfast good choice, not far from airport plus they put a free shuttle on from airport to hotel.
