Cons: All was good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was beautiful, clean, the people are polite and helpful. It’s actually all-inclusive. Not like those places who claim everything is included but u have to pay for things. My stay was comfortable and amazing! Wish I didn’t have to leave
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Meals were good with lots of options Staff was accommodating and polite Facilities pleasant, comfortable, very attractively kept grounds. Entertainment great
Cons: No undesirable experience
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Customer service, every staff, butler service was great ! Meal times were long, the scenic view was to die for. The rooms were sooo amazing!!
Cons: The room service menu was a bit limited but that is a general culture for the hotels in Jamaica
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the total experience
6.8 Good
Pros: The complex is beautiful .however
Cons: they did not provide a wheel chair and kept us waiting for hours at a time to find one. My mother (87) and I spent a miserable time We checked out before the end of our stay. They allocated 5th floor instead of the ground floor we choose.
7.5 Good
Pros: Entertainment, room setting is great that is the deluxe suite sea view and a variety of food to choose from at the Jasmine buffet. All of the staff were very curtious except the lady who cleaned my room. Overall great resort I would come back.
Cons: The beach at luxury is man made, people need regular ocean beach to swim. The wifi signal is poor. Food was sometimes salty need to cook without salt.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: The service was definitely not I would call "luxury" by any means. We did not shower for two days because there was no cold water - only scalding water. The toilet was not working - could not flush it because cold water was not available to fill the tank. We had to full the waste basket with the scalding water and leave it to get to room temperature so we can take "sponge" baths. I have a lot more to say but I can't do it all here. But I will definitely contact them to file a formal complaint.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything else
Cons: 1)The club had a bad smell in it. 2)the tile from the pool on the adult side is coming up. 3)I think that the entertainment such as the club and casino should be on the adult side 4) no food service at the pool

Pros: I like the fact that the HR is exposed. Everything is well planned and is people friendly.

10.0 Excellent

Cons: Need a little bit more entertainment .
8.3 Excellent
Pros: WE stayed for 3 nights and it was really hard to take advantage of everything the hotel has to offer! I love the "Jewel Exclusives" such as the free glass bottom boat tour (which we did do) the trip to Dunns River, sunset cruise etc. That's a great advantage over a lot of hotels. There was also turn down service which I like…though we came back to the room so late the second night I didn't notice there was turn down service until our last night. The food is good. Since I am from Trinidad and my husband is from Jamaica we are very critical when it comes to hotels and local cooking. The Jewel did a good job with the local cuisine which I tend to gravitate towards. I also liked that you didn't need to make reservations for most of their restaurants so we were able to eat there at will. I have been to other hotels where you couldn't even get a reservation after arriving. So it was nice to always have the option of "going out" for dinner. They even serve breakfast in one of the restaurants for a nice sit down experience. I did however smell weed near my room two out of the three days I was there. So that was a bit strange and distasteful for my liking. Overall I have very little to complain about. If I were to suggest an area to improve it would be: Have more local fruit, dessert and pastry options. Many hotels love to offer american desserts and its nice to if they would be more inclined to show off the local tarts, patties, sponge cakes, rum cake, bun etc etc. We give people our food, let's share our local desserts and snacks too! Their entertainment was top notch. compared to other hotels it was above the rest. It was not the typical cheesy type of entertainment that causes me to roll my eyes. This was real singing, dancing, acrobats everyone could enjoy. We were never sure if room service was included as there was no book in our room providing a nice overview of the hotel along with menu choices. Sure we could have called and found out, but my husband opted for a mid-night stroll to the grill vs. calling the front desk and having to wait for his food. The grill ran 24 hours so that was nice. And the jerk there was close to authentic so that was also nice. A nice addition would be to have some Tastee's patties and an ice-cream shop. Like the coffee shop it would have been nice to get some local flavors like rum and raisin and cherry etc. Overall the Jewel has great value for money and we would certainly return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Most of all the staff was incredibly.
Cons: Can’t remember anything
8.3 Excellent

Cons: Internet going on and off
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the ambiance. The staff was very friendly and they always ensure that we were doing great. The jade samurai was lovely.
Cons: The buffet line could have provided more options.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: How cosey and private the layout of the property is. Everything seemed designed for intimacy and together time
Cons: There should be a warning on their website about the number of bees which visit the bars to get at the juices and syrups. Management should implement measures to deal with them in a safe and eco-friendly way to prevent an 'unfortunate' incident with a guest.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly and take take great pride in their work. Elaine was the best.
Cons: The room and bathroom was not clean properly Entertainment was limited
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was great and the staff was friendly

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was amazing, the staff were very friendly, the location was ideal
Cons: The property could do with a bit of renovation
7.0 Good
Pros: This is a small resort, within a couple days everyone is familiar and all the staff greets everyone by name. This means you are never too far (but far enough!) from your kids. The staff are wonderful: the event coordinators have boundless energy, the front desk staff are eager to please and the nannies are experts at engaging the kids and making sure they have a great time. The resort really does cater to young kids. They have a lot of playground equipment. The beach area is filled with sand toys. They have a kids grill with seating that cooks up all the food they love. Before going to Jamaica I heard stories of aggressive locals soliciting on the beach. This resort is secluded, no one just wanders on to the property. Guest have access to the beach next door - a Jewel property. The beach is beautiful! The rooms are large with a mini kitchen - a huge plus when you have small children. Our nanny made sure to keep the fridge stocked. My favorite was a floating raft a swimming distance from the beach. Laying on top, in the ocean...ahhh felt like vacation. Well, really the nannies make it feel like a vacation. Lounging on a raft, leaving the resort to go on excursions, having dinner without kids, just being able to relax...all that was due to the nannies.
Cons: I knew going in this wasn’t a fancy resort; however, I was disappointed with the upkeep on the property. The place is rundown - in desperate need of renovation. They had tons of staff around putting fresh coats of paint everywhere and fixing a loose board or leaky ceiling. This bandaid approach just isn’t working. The beach area is small and not a replica of what you’d expect on a resort getaway. However, like I mentioned, the beach next door is gorgeous! Would be nice to not have to wander to another property for that experience though. Lastly, the food was mediocre at best. Now this was my first all inclusive experience so I don’t have anything to compare it to. We were there 8 days and I had two really good meals.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great nanny, Tina, and wonderful staff.
Cons: Air conditioning broke and was never fixed
6.3 Good
Pros: We love that our children had the best time! Our nanny was excellent.
Cons: All inclusive usually includes a stocked mini fridge along with snacks. We were unable to get the basics. It was incredibly frustrating. Also, the nanny is your housekeeper and it just felt awkward, especially because she also was responsible for stocking our refreshments that we never got.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It isn't a huge hotel so it lends itself well to a warm, inviting and easy to navigate resort where there is plenty to do. The staff are lovely, the beds are unbelievably comfy, the food was varied and very tasty (this exceeded our expectations based on reviews we had read), we loved the flume, sea kayaking, the boat rides and the pool. The beach has lots of little toys and friendly fish that swim close to shore. We got upgraded the day after arrival which may have altered our perception of comfort, as the two storey rooms in block 8 were a lot better than the 1storey in block 1. We had more space and a more sensible layout. We didn't end up using the vast balcony though and barely used the lounge as the resort had lovely areas to use so we didn't want to be cooped up in the room.
Cons: The air con was noisy and would lose connection in the night. The doors all swing open, a small grievance but very frustrating when you are brushing your teeth in the small bathroom and the door is in your arm! It would be good if the kids club was supervised as we had children of different ages so the nanny struggled to keep both entertained - obviously we spent a lot of time by da y doing tbings with them but it was our honegmoon so it would also have been nice to have options for both children throughout.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The entertainment was good.
Cons: Ibwasnt displeased with the room and bathroom.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The lunch was better than the dinner for some reason. The omelets were good. The drinks kept coming even though it seems as if they just threw Appleton and white rum in a cup with triple sec or curacao.
Cons: You get what you pay for. Four workers at the front desk talking one actually assisting I had to call the tou g last over to check me in she said I thought you were with them. The room had only 2 towels nothing else had to actually go to front desk to get wash rags. The food was terrible 3 days wirth of diarrhea only the lunch the Tuesday was good other then that don't do it.

Pros: Ms. Cynthia was the sweetest and most accomodating host. She made sure we were fed and comfortable and felt right at home. The pets were a welcoming surprise and the grounds are lush with a beautiful sea view from the verander.
Cons: Alot of lizards.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was okay even though i book it was not shown that i was book for that day. However the lady was so kind we were able to stay. i appreciate it so much. The price was different from what was booked as it was not one of the regular rooms she just accommodate us for the night.
Cons: The communication with booking .com and the owner of the property to ensure that when a booking is done she knows about it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Host was gracious, courteous and delightful; shared much about Jamaica and it’s history and current economic and social conditions. The guest house was beautiful, clean and inviting. We felt comfortable and safe.
Cons: We had difficulties connecting with the host on our arrival which meant our driver had to stay with us until we could get in. She was there in the Garden and apparently did not hear our phone call that we were arriving and at the gate. Frustrating but not a deal breaker. Secondly, there was absolutely no hot water and no water pressure. We took cold “dribble”showers. Finally, the location truly was far away from things. From the web site it appears that you are quite close to the sea, but in reality you can see it slightly from the veranda. You might hav a better view fro the upper rooms, but that was not mentioned in the web description.

Cons: The only thing that I did not really care for was having to share a bathroom with the other guests whose room was right across from mine. I would have preferred to have a bathroom in my room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mom's village is hotel located right behind a business building. You cant see it from the street, but the sign is there to welcome all guest. Upon arriving, you'll notice behind the shops is a beautiful courtyard that is well maintained. Its a family business, so the people that checked us in were nice and very informative. The room has all your basic needs, (wifi, closet space, shower) and the kitchen outside the room is accessible at anytime. Sometimes, the people who live there use the kitchen to cook breakfast or dinner, so stick around to inquire about the local dishes! The location of this hotel is perfect. The building in front of it has a diner, hair shop, grocery and other shops that serve the community. To the left, it's a 10 min walk to the beach, and to the right you have a church and a string of dive bars for nightlife. The locals are very helpful and even on a weekend night 2am the locals never harassed me for being american or a tourist. This is the perfect hotel for travelers who like to explore the town and experience the daily life in Jamaica.
Cons: There was nothing that i didn't like. If was a traveler that liked being cooked up in a hotel all day and expected an all-inclusive tourist prison, i would be disappointed! Luckily, that's not the case.
