Location was good and the staff were very keen to please. It’s a Japanese hotel with all the usual handy facilities like a coin laundry and drinks machines with beer and sours.
The bathroom was up a big step. I’m elderly and found this difficult. Also, we had a non smoking room, as requested, but it did smell of cigarettes. I’m not sure how long it had been non smoking. People still smoke in restaurants in Japan so it’s maybe not a high priority like in UK. Also the reception staff didn’t have great spoken English.

The breakfast is faboulous
The junior suite is big. However, the air vent of bathroom made a lot of sound which can not be turned off.

It’s quite near to Fukui train station.
Toilet fan cannot be turned off. So it was hard to get to sleep with the motor noise. The room was very dark. Could do with more light fittings.
