Hotels near Gal Galilei Airport, Pisa

Pros: The hotel is located within 20-minutes walk from the Pisa tower in one of the central streets, but it was surprisingly quite and calm in the hotel. The room and the bathroom are modern, super clean and stylish. The breakfast was great with many options. The host is friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again! Can’t recommend the hotel enough.

Pros: I just can’t fault it for what it offers to be, the host Flavia is delightful and could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Breakfast offered a great variety of choice but the fresh homemade cakes and tarts were the highlight for sure. The whole place was spotlessly clean, the room was spacious and all of the facilities were in perfect working order. We loved it all!

Pros: This is an amazing find. We stopped in Pisa for a few nights ahead of a wedding and used Five Roses as a base for sightseeing. There are three lovely rooms, very very nicely finished with the most comfortable bed in any hotel ever!! Lovely attention from Flavia the host and a fantastic location just a five minute walk from the station (use the shuttle from the airport for just €5 Euro ). There is a supermarket just round the corner and a host of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Cannot recommend highly enough.....oh and it’s on the walking route to the Tower!! xx

Pros: Perfect location on the main shopping street, less than 5 minute walk to the train station, 15 minute walk to the tower. Rooms are very comfortable with AC. Nice breakfast in the morning and the lovely owner accommodated us by having breakfast ready 15 minutes earlier than normal to suit our early flight. Highly recommended.

Pros: Most of all we liked the really warm welcome we got from Patricia the first night we stayed and by Antonio when we returned a week later (Hope I have the names correct) The rooms and shared bathrooms were spotlessly clean. There was a nice variety for breakfast. Great location for airport and we felt safe walking around .

Pros: Very good location for both the airport and train station. It is in a quiet street and easy to get into Pisa. Maurizio, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. He stayed late so I could get in as my flight was a late one. He even texted me to reassure me he would be there which gave real peace of mind.

Pros: As a single traveler and a big Michelangelo fen I visited Florence for a week, I stayed in the Luckyhouse in Pisa on my there and back, because: Luckyhouse is within a walking distance from Pisa airport and within walking distance from Pisa railway station. The place surprised me with its lovely decor and comfort, very helpful staff and kitchen available all day round. Great value for money too. Highly recommend.

Pros: Most of all I liked the proximity to the airport and the train station. The price was good. Everything was clean. They serve breakfast starting from 4am. It’s more like a snack type breakfast but good to have such an option for those who travel. Parking available on the street infront of the hotel and was free from 8 pm-8am. What is the option for parking for the rest of the day - I don’t know since we just stayed for the night before our early morning flight.

Pros: The apartment is situated perfectly: between the railway station and airport (about 700 meters to both). The street is quiet. Included breakfast is very useful for travellers who are going to fly early in the morning. To get to Pisane Tower it takes about 25 min. by foot. Wi-fi worked well.

Cons: Since the doors are very thin you hear everything outside. Someone in the neighbouring room was walking back and forth slamming the bathroom door and discussing in the hallway, at five o’clock, didn’t get much sleep after that. The breakfast lacked bread, there was only cakes and croissants. Coffee and serials were good though.

Pros: They give you the room and the keys to the place, so you can come and leave when you want, which is convenient. The common bathroom is nice and clean. Internet woks well. There are some sweets in the room. Nice kitchen.

Cons: There is no change of bed sheets or towels, take it into account if you stays for several days. The owner is never in the place, so it might be hard to check in (but he waits for you usually) but on the other hand you can do whatever you want :)

Pros: There was no breakfast just a couple of croissants and jam when I moved into the room but Marco is a nice host.

Cons: There was a couple who blocked the bathroom for full one hour and I had to wait until they came out. First the man used the bathroom and when he was done he did not leave. He told me that he is waiting for his girlfriend, who later came and then left and then again he continued using the bathroom. I stood in the lobby for literally half an hour as both the bathrooms were occupied. If you are travelling with family, I would not recommend the place as it has only 2 bathrooms for 5 bedrooms.

Pros: The location was great and you had everything you need in the room (towels, soaps and even a few little packaged breakfast foods). The shared bathrooms were big and clean. It's a cute little place to stay with nice spacious rooms.

Cons: The check-in process was a little unusual as the staff aren't always on site. To be fair, they do give you detailed instructions (just make sure keep a copy on hand to review when you get there!)

Pros: It was an apartment with three selfcontained units each with its own access key very close to central station. Very tastefully decorated with shared dining and cooking facilities. We booked two rooms with attached bathrooms well stocked with toiletries and fresh towels. Individually controlled air conditioning was a bonus on a very hot day! The host very graciously allowed us to check in early at no extra charge and met us on arrival to explain how everything worked. He even gave us a map of the city and provided useful tjps. We arrived by train and left by air and the ground floor apartment was perfectly located for both. The host also allowed us to keep our baggage after check out to allow us to sivht see as we had an evening flight! Thank you Claudio!!!

Cons: Me and my husband thought we paid for our room twice by mistake because something wrong went with my phone while paying...started downloading and then everything disappeared....and on our arrival we explained it to the man at the reception and asked for help and he was not honest with us-he did not say it was not one room we paid for, but we booked by mistake 2 rooms and paid for them and we know it was no doubt our fault but he did not say a word we booked and paid for 2 rooms and when we found it out and asked why did not he offered and give us keys for 2 rooms he said: You did not ask. We checked in late at night, and the front desk person was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Check out with other staff was the same. The room was clean and met our expectations.

Cons: The immediate block or two right around the hotel felt a little unsafe late at night, but the front desk staff was very helpful in recommending where to go and what areas were safe for walking at that time. During the day, the area did not feel unsafe.

Pros: This hotel was just steps away from the railway station which was perfect for our needs. A good choice of things at buffet style breakfast. Comfortable bed & dark curtains.

Pros: The hotel was in an ok location for pisa about an 25 minute walk to the leaning tower. This was ok as I like shopping and you had to walk through the streets full of shops to get there. There were also alot of restaurants on the way too.

Cons: Staff on reception weren't very welcoming. We met 3 staff and 2 older guys were very rude and we felt very much of an inconvenience to them. Younger guy was alot better seemed to have more time for the customers and was not rude to us and he actually smiled at us unlike the other 2. Have never felt so unwelcome in Italy before.

Pros: The counter is open 24 hours and the staffs are really nice. The breakfast is also quite good with friendly chef.

Pros: As Italian hotel breakfast was surprisingly amazingly good ! Many things to choose, all fresh and very tasty ! Well done !

Pros: The breakfast consisted of various meats eggs omelette, tomato cucumber, pickles, bread rolls, toast, cakes and fruit, there was plenty of choice. Tea coffee and fruit juice. Staff very helpful.

Cons: From reception staff, to the cleaners all the staff were very helpful, we found all was good.

Pros: The location is perfect if you have an early or late flight from Pisa airport. Literally a five minute walk to the terminal. The check in staff were very friendly.

Cons: The room was fine but very noisy with other guests coming and going. It felt expensive at €132 for the night and I think with a bit of effort I could have probably have found something more comfortable.

Cons: No real faults , a slight walk to the bathroom meant getting dressed to go in the night. No big problem though.

Cons: This was a crappy place. I got serious bites of some kind (bed bugs?) on areas of my body that were fully covered in bed. Best not to tell you more. I only stayed there because of its proximity to the airport as I had to get up at 4am. In retrospect I would have been better off and way less itchy and more comfortable getting up at 3.30am and staying somewhere else better.

Pros: They were very helpful about our late arrival (midnight) into Pisa airport. They were proactive in ensuring that we knew where to come and that there was someone waiting for us, They called me just after our plane landed. Very efficient.

Pros: The room was clean, air conditioned and comfortable. Don’t expect luxury. The place very much serves the purpose of a convenient stop over before an early flight. Very very close to the airport. The lady waiting to check us in was friendly.

Cons: The noise levels were much greater than expected, not from the airport or nearby roads but by guests arriving in the evening/ night and dragging cases up stairs/ shutting and opening doors etc. It’s fair to say we didn’t sleep at all, but we had an early flight so maybe wouldn’t have been so bad if we’d had a lie in in the morning! Only one loo roll in the shared bathroom which was already half used so for a young family coming in late it might have been tricky.

Pros: Comfy, good balcony. Very friendly staff who even booked a taxi for us.

Cons: The mattresses were all stained and under the sheets was pretty dirty. I always do a bedbug check and I didn't see any but there were lots of other crumbs and hairs and minging stuff. They also didn't provide the travel cot we asked for and didn't tell us they couldn't which made life a bit tricky with our toddler.
