10.0 Wonderful
We stayed in a king suite which was amazing. Plenty of room for our family of 4. We walked across the street to the Glenwood Hot Springs. Food was good and desserts were amazing. Explored the hotel looking for ghosts, didn’t find any but did smell cigar smoke…sppoookkyy. Wonderful trip

6.8 Okay
Pros:Food was good and there were lots of restaurants and hot pools around
Cons:The carpet was very dirty
A
8.2 Very good
Pros:Nice atmosphere and location is excellent! Hot springs nearby and downtown is just over the bridge, which is a short walk.
Cons:Old wiring so lights would flicker. Toilet seat was loose.
A
4.0 Mediocre
Pros:I loved the history of the hotel and the location was perfect.
Cons:The room it’s self was dirty, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, bathtub had not been cleaned, crank on bathroom window was broke so you couldn’t close it, the cable kept going out, looking out our window there was trash in the trees and on the ground from the roofers that wasn’t cleaned up all weekend. Overall super bummed as we were really excited to stay at the hotel.
A
8.2 Very good
Pros:The building itself is beautiful, and it's location right in the middle of Glenwood Springs is perfect to take advantage of local attractions. Also, all of the staff were very friendly and service was top-notch.
Cons:It's an older neighborhood, so parking is at a premium during peak tourist days. Also, we were there during abnormally warm weather, and the hotel isn't air conditioned. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

8.8 Very good
Pros:Beautiful, vintage building. Staff was awesome, everyone from the concierge to the janitors were super friendly. The hotel is perfectly located for a vacation in Glenwood Springs.
Cons:It's not air conditioned and the two days we were there were abnormally warm. Prepare accordingly.
A
7.7 Good
Pros:Loved the history and character of the old hotel. Loved the story behind its past and also loved the proximity to the hot springs. Also loved the courtyard. Beautiful and peaceful. The courtyard and lobby were the best parts. The front desk gave our kids teddy bears when we checked in (part of their Teddy Roosevelt history) Beds were clean and very comfortable. Rooms were still historical and therefore may not suit everyone's expectations but we loved the old furniture and architecture. Lots of historical photos etc throughout, especially on the 5th floor.
Cons:The road noise was terrible. We literally were woken up each night from horns, engines and brakes etc. Our room was on the south west side. The hotel unfortunately is literally adjacent (like 10 feet) to highway 82 which is a main corridor for big rigs and semis etc. The road noise from I-70 really wasn't very noticable compared to the local traffic accessing 82. Make sure you request a courtyard room or a room on the east side as they are much quieter. (We asked for a quieter room but we were told they were full) Also, the bathrooms Have no counter space with pedestal sinks only. We had to keep some of our toiletries on the toilet and on the ground because there was no where to put it next to sink. Our room also did not have a coffee maker. Only some rooms have coffee makers. If you're traveling with kids or toddlers then don't open the windows. The Windows are still original style with counter weights that open all the way. Our room had screens in the Windows but they were not held to the window sill. i.e. a toddler could easily fall out.

Pros:Hotel is supposedly haunted!
A
10.0 Wonderful
Pros:The staff were attentive friendly and even fun to talk to. The central location of the Hotel made it easy to walk or drive for everything we needed. Thanks again to the staff for being fun and professional. Food was great to.
K
7.7 Good
Pros:I like the historic character of this old hotel and it's close proximity (walking distance) to the Glenwood Springs Pool as well as restaurants.
Cons:While the room I was given was supposed to be non-smoking (and was clearly marked as such) it had a definite bad smell, one I associate with having been smoked in. I had to open the windows and sleep with them open in order to have some fresh air, meaning I had some traffic noise. (Maybe they need to change out the carpet??) My granddaughter thought the bathtub was dirty because the old non-stick thingies on the bottom had brownish residue stuck to them, i.e., it didn't look clean. Those are my only complaints.
