Pool area was good.
Air conditioning didn't work properly. Staff claimed to have investigated and fixed it. It was obvious no one had come near the room.
The Pool is only great thing about the hotel. Location is nice as you stroll through a park to get to central Granada. You do have to walk up a steep hill to get to the hotel.
That this hotel is rated a 4 star but really is a 3 star at the highest. Besides the POOL being the highlight everything else needs a lot of work. I walked into a room with dirty sheets, the fridge they claim is on but does not make anything cold, the elevator to the 6th floor worked one of five days that I was there, they said the cost of the taxi would be between 25 to 26 euro's and it cost me 40 euro's, no complimentary tea or coffee in the room- you have to ask for the kettle which they provide with nothing else, you need to ask them for an additional key if you want the AC to be on and then the cleaning lady will unplug it so you walk back into your room of a 40 degrees and the list goes ON! But it you are ok with sucking it up and staying at 3 star hotel then this pool makes all the difference in peak summer when you need a mid day swim.
Really good hotel, very confortable bed nice swimming pool and spa. People at reception not so friendly but ok. The food in the restaurant is really good as well.
Parking is very expensive.
Very nice decor inside the hotel and cosy rooms. Highly recommend to visit restaurant - food and service were amazing. Parking is available on site (around 16-18 euro, don't remember exactly). Breakfast was also excellent. In walking distance (around 20-25 mins) with Alhambra.
Was impossible to find street parking, but we were ready for this and eventually paid for hotel garage parking.
Spa staff and area although coming at extra cost. Good massage.
The entire hotel needs big freshen up. Doors don’t close unless you slam them, resulting in a lot of night noise waking you up in the middle of night as people go in or out (remember you are in Spain and dinner is after 9pm, life goes on well past midnight). Facing the busy road that goes up to the Alhambra on one direction and to city center on the other, You hear a lot of noise from cars and motorcycles at any time day and night - even with windows fully shut. Swimming pool water is super cold and was not possible to use it, We spent money on the indoor SPA. Reception staff was helpful but dry, had to ask to open the gym and seemed our request was an annoyance (why not open in the first place - old fashion key does not allow to swipe in - out), insisted on leaving a cash deposit for swimming pool towel (despite being guests of the hotel and upon giving our room number). Air conditioning does not work properly, super old. Quality of breakfast food was dreadful, juices jars with 100% sugar and 0% fruit. Cheese, ham tasted poor. Carrots a la julienne straight from the can. Pineapple the only fresh/ eatable food. Given these premises we did not dare try the restaurant. The hotel seems popular for stug dos and events like weddings/private parties as the area around the swimming pool is nice and I guess with a lot of alcohol in your body you don’t feel the freezing cold of the water. not for families / travelers looking to explore the city after a good night sleep.
