Excellent 9.5
Pros: The location was perfect.. easy walk to good restaurants, shopping and the historical areas of tlaquepaque. The room was clean, nicely decorated with a good, comfortable bed. Not a 5 star but definitely very nice.
Cons: To get in AND out of the entrance to the hotel required the office to buzz down to the gate. (only) one time there was no one at the desk and I couldn't get out. I'm a light sleeper and my room was 3 units away from the street. so the traffic was too noticeable for me in the morning.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: I think this hotel was once a huge house because that's the feel you get when you visit. There's no simple boring hotel layout but rather a house with bedrooms and living rooms throughout. It was very quiet, very quaint, and very close to shopping, dining, and downtown Tlaquepaque. Very nice!
Cons: The hotel staff was just a little too timid, but still hospitable and friendly.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: location was excellent , located right on the middle of downtown, we walked to all sights and stores
Cons: if we had a car there was no parking close to hotel
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Ideal location for walking around Tlaquepaque...felt very safe.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Central Location, excellent internal decoration. Staff organized my taxi at 5am without problems.
Cons: Hot water in shower did not work, but since it was very late in the evening, I did not complain so I do not know what the reaction of the manager would have been
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful property walking distance from the main square. Delicious breakfast included!!! The staff was very kind and attentive.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was amazingly good!! The decoration is terrific and the staff very helpful!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Perfect location
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful quiet property but very central. Our room was so pretty and it overlooked a quiet garden. Breakfast room was delightful. Staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely room, awesome breakfast, fabulous staff, the best location
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: How close it is to Airport and Bus station
Cons: That we got knocked on the door just for having a conversation, this is the first time I experience this situation and it is very uncomfortable. Never had someone knock at my door for talking in any of the10 countries I’ve visited

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean. Friendly. Swimming pool. Fantastic location. Just a couple of blocks from the main strip. Only thing I can’t speak on is the food. We saw some guest having what looked like pizza in their chill and beautiful restaurant. We decided to eat the best tacos we’ve ever had at a street cart literally at the end of the block.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Can’t say enough about this lovely gem in the heart of magical Tlaquepaque. Deserves 5 stars in every way. Spotless classic Mexican colonial style with gorgeous decor and artwork. Rooms surrounding lovely courtyard pool with flowing fountain - slept blissfully with open screen door in our poolside suite. The staff! Amable and simpatico don’t describe this wonderful group. Perfect location just close enough for quick walk to the zocalo and pedestrian thoroughfare of Independencia with its indescribable shops and cafes. Charmed in every way and cannot wait to return. So grateful I found this jewel through your site! Cannot imagine having stayed anywhere else.
Cons: Perfection - couldn’t have improved a thing. Hummingbirds fluttering around and beautiful music too.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The front desk staff(jose) and bar staff, Carlo and the other gentleman were very friendly, breakfast staff so kind, excellent quality, home made muffins, lots of fresh fruit an coffee
Cons: Every thing was great
Mediocre 2.5
Cons: The hotel did not have any record of our reservation through Booking.com. They found us a room in a nearby hotel that was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in -- a real dump -- for US$99.81 but late, tired and no other choice.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: I loved the outdoor space and the quietness of the property. Staff was super nice. Food was delicious...5 star restaurant quality.
Cons: The bathroom was very small. It needed a soap dish and there were ants in the bathroom daily. The cleaning could have been better. There was paper left on the side of the toilet for an entire week. I own several businesses so I left it there just to see if the housekeeper would notice and she didn’t. Overall the room was clean.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Breakfast was great. Only two blocks walk to main shopping area of Tlaquepaque. Their car service for picking up and taking guests to the bus station or airport was excellent. Staff all spoke good English. And Charlie's margaritas were excellent.
Cons: The air conditioner in number 6 was slow to cool down the room.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Very nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, very nice location.
Cons: n/a
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Friendly Staff, Airport pickup, Delicious included continental breakfast. on-site Tlaquepasta restaurant outstanding. great location in beautiful Tlaquepaque.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is definitely my place to stay when I have the opportunity to visit Tlaquepaque! The location, facilities and food in the restaurant are superb. I highly recommend Quinta Don Jose biutique hotel as a place to stay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We were unable to eat breakfast because we had to catch a flight early and left at 4:00 am. However, the front desk attendant had coffee and asked if we wanted bread. To me that was awesome customer service.
Cons: There wasn't anything that I did not like.

Pros: -I was told that Tlaquepaque was a safer option to stay if you want to visit Guadalajara and indeed it is ! -loved the location and the rooms , were perfectley appointed!
Cons: ...
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It felt so like home I just didn't want to leave it was amazing from the staff to the location of the place I loved it so much
Excellent 10.0
Pros: My family had stayed here in September, 2018. It was highly recommended.
Good 7.0
Pros: The staff is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the am was very good and a nice spot to hang out. The location is very convenient.
Cons: The pool and hot tub were empty the entire trip. The beds are hard as rock and extremely uncomfortable. It's off of a busy intersection so it's very loud, particularly in the morning. We initially had no water pressure but they did solve that problem.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: The breakfast was delicious, although it was the same offer every morning, eggs fried in different styles with beans, chilaquiles and a side of fruits. The location is perfect, 2 minutes on foot from the center of Tlaquepaque. The building is charming with its hacienda style, it has a nice inner courtyard and the dining area is upstairs on a large terrace. The room (suite) surprised me, as the bathroom looks like it used to be a living room, with a sofa and coffee table, but it just meant more useful space, so I liked it. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I will definitely stay there if I return to the area.
Good 7.5
Pros: Very nice room old style and walking distance to the Parian. My kids love the swimming pool.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The authentic feel the hotel keeps throughout the entire hotel .
Cons: When I had to leave to purchase medicine for my son and returned during morning hours there was no one manning the front desk so I was locked out and the doorbell is not heard by staff upstairs who are serving breakfast to guest. I continued to ring and knock and yell up toward the outdoor dining area in hopes that someone would hear me and the busy/loud street certainly didn’t help. Finally after what seemed about 10 minutes and luckily a staff member from upstairs heard me calling. That was very distressful due to my son being ill waiting on me to return. The hotel keeps the front door locked.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accomodating (shout out to Blas). I loved the history of the place as well as Fiona the dog that visits once in a while. The breakfast chilaquiles were also very delicious! I highly recommend this place.
Cons: The bed wasn’t as soft as I would’ve liked and unfortunately this hotel is on a noisy busy street.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: The staff was very helpful & friendly! The on-site spa made it for an extremely wonderful stay!
Excellent 9.5
Pros: This hotel is located close to everything you need in Tlaquepaque. We stayed in this town upon the recommendation of a local in a neighboring town and it was the best decision of our trip. The staff at Casa Armona welcomed us like old friends, shared local tips and made us feel at home even though we were only spending one night. We had a challenge with the shower but they far exceeded our expectations in trying to get it fixed immediately and also compensating us for the small inconvenience. The hotel is located on a well-traveled street but it was very quiet inside our room. Blas and Gabi were so warm and welcoming and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Pros: Comfortable, colourful rooms. Courtyard and backyard gave outside space to relax in. Very hospitable staff. Thank you!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice Bed and Breakfast . So comfortable and my room even had a private terrace looking onto the garden. There were also many public spaces to enjoy inside and out. There was coffee, fruit and cereal and juice at breakfast and also cooked to order eggs and toast options. The location is just a mere 4 blocks from city center.
Cons: Not much to not like. Earplugs would be good for those sensitive to barking dogs, trains and birds, including chickens. I'm not bothered by those things.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very cozy & comfortable... like being at home
Cons: no complaints
Excellent 9.5
Pros: The owners are very nice people and very helpful with everything. The property is very nice and has a nice atmosphere. It's located very close to the plaza in Tlaquepaque and a short bus ride from the center in Guadalajara.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Perfect location. Excellent customer service. Staff is wonderful! This is my second stay at Casa del retono, and will be back for sure.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything!!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly staff and great value. Cool peaceful garden courtyard.
Cons: Only the lack of air-con, but a fan kept us cool.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was an interesting old Mexican building style. It had 2 courtyards with gardens. The rooms were quiet. The bed was comfortable. There was a huge pet rabbit in the yard. Breakfast was provided and was very good. A few blocks away was an old part of town. The church was beautiful There was an area with a courtyard and surrounded by restaurants and strolling mariachi bands.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: This is a sweet, family run place, and the owners are lovely and very helpful. they live on the premises and address your every need, promptly and graciously. It is three blocks from the famous Parian and all the color and activity that is Tlaquepaque, from amazing street food and night-time bustle in the central plaza to fine bars, galleries, and restaurants. Rooms are simple but comfy. great breakfasts are cooked to order— delicious huevos a la mexicana!
Cons: No complaints. perhaps the public areas could be a bit claner and it would look fresher. Walks and furniture are a bit rusty. but rooms are very clean.

Pros: Romantic city light view with Spanish themed buildings. The staff was very accommodating to my weird itinerary.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was big and the beds were comfortable and you get a nice view of the city of Guadalajara
Cons: If you're a coffee lover you're better off buying coffee from the restaurant, the coffee in the room is not the best.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Room service
Good 7.0
Pros: The first room I was placed in was far from all other rooms and the pool. The room smelled like cigarettes and the outside of the room was in a hallway that was dark and near doors that I believe were near the trash. The doors to the bathroom did not lock. After asking to be placed in a different room it was more accommodating and near the pool. However, when we ordered room service for lunch they forgot we ordered and we had to wait longer than 1 hour after we were told it would be 20 minutes.
Cons: The first room we were placed in and the length of time for room service
Okay 4.3
Pros: It was beautiful.
Cons: Our first room had no working air conditioner. The room had a sewer smell. We got charged for 3 people but the third bed was a sofa bed with wires popping out. We called for assistance and an entire day went by until they finally moved us to another room. We loved the view. We also wished we got what we paid for.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything
Cons: The rooms
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Great view all around.
Cons: The tours they offered were not what they said. They conned us in getting the Jose Cuervo tours and paid way mote than others in our group from different hotels and didn’t even get the Jose Cuervo tour. That was the only disappointment
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel is the best hotel to stay with the family
Cons: Everything the food
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location
Cons: Just the small a bit like old.

Pros: Loved the location
Mediocre 3.3
Cons: No shuttle available when it was advertised, no other solutions provided, shower no hot water even after 20min. On , as soon as water hit the drain a horrible sewer smell inside shower Horrible, bathroom dirty upon arrival
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nos gusto mucho las instalaciones, disfrutamos de su rica comida de la disco tanto que a nuestro regreso nos instalamos de nuevo en su hotel, al principio un poco difícil para llegar pero la segunda vez sin problema

Pros: Very close to the airport, including a free shuttle service starting at 6 am. Very attentive staff. Rooms are simple, but offer everything needed for an overnight stay. Comfortable beds.
Cons: There was smell of drain in the bathroom. During the night we heard a constant humming, caused by a generator or something like this. Breakfast only as of 6 am. Some snacks "early birds" would be could (coffee is available 24/7).

Pros: We needed a cheap place to stay after our flight was changed for the next day. The place was inexpensive, and the room was very small but just what we needed for a quick rest and stay with two small children. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the lady that helped us check-in and kitchen staff that recommended places to eat nearby when we wanted something different from their own menu.
Cons: The neighborhood looks fine during the day although it's poorly lit at night which made us a bit uneasy when we needed to grab dinner in the evening. There also seemed to be a lot of on-duty federal officers staying on the facilities.

Excellent 8.3
Pros: it was ok. staff was very friendly, room was ok. i didnt have time to go to breakfast since i had to leave at 4 am. not an amazing experience but i didnt have any problems.
Cons: underground parking is VERY tight. if you have a big car you will be having a hard time. evwn with an altima it was hard to park. but at least its safer than outside
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The location was very convenient to the airport and downtown Guadalajara. The beans at the continental breakfast were very good.
Good 7.5
Pros: Bed and pillows... In to a shopping yard, very convenient.. Quiet enough even its up front of a highway, was pretty clean and neat...
Cons: Sink was clought; just one soap in the bathroom, because they use gel instead, I prefer soap bar myself; breakfast was very basic but ok..
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: The transportation staff; very polite, accommodating and prompt.
Cons: NO hot water, NO roll-away beds available, room floor was very DIRTY as well as under the bed. Place looks clean but still dirty. I walked around in my white (brand new) socks that turned to grey/black after walking around the room. I cleaned floor myself because the response from the font desk was not to send someone to take care of it but that they would inform the person in charge of housekeeping for when the room is cleaned. I let the hotel know that the hot water was not working. I was told they would look into it and we would have it in about 5 minutes. We never got hot water for us to enjoy a nice hot shower comfortably. We did wake up to hot water in the morning but that was not acceptable since we left the hotel very early (4am) and needed use of shower the night before. I also had to request towels more than twice before they were sent to the room. Their excuse was that we had been out of the room but earlier they had delivered an additional pillow when I had requested pillows to the room while we were out. We also had other concerns prior to this regarding the size of the room in relation to the number of people staying in the room. We needed an upgrade but the hotel would not accommodate us since we had already entered the room. We were expected to pay for the room we walked into and the upgraded room as well. We simple made do. This place is great for students and business trips if you are okay with the aforementioned but not for a family stay/getaway.
Good 6.5
Pros: No ice for guests and floors were constructed poorly
Cons: The floors in the room were filthy
Okay 5.8
Pros: good bed/good breakfast
Cons: the noise from traffic is bad 24 hours a day

Okay 4.0
Cons: It may have been a nice hotel at one point but it hasn't been kept up. It's inexpensive and I'm not so sure you even get what you pay for. Arrived at 9:45pm and the room wasn't even ready.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Excellent location, across the street from the main square. Owner lived in California and is fluent in English.
Cons: Small basis room with no windows. I could have had a room with windows but they face the street with lots of street noise.
