Small and cozy hotel with a nice atmosphere. Location is a bit outside downtown, 20-30 mins walking to the center along the Alster Lake. Alternative 5 minutes walking to metro station. The hotel is in a former residencial house and it is quiet unique. Staff is friendly and helpful. I had the Souterrain room which was spacy but stairs down are quiet steep, so for elder or handicapped person the room is not recommendable. Breakfast does not had warm choices, however the hotel offered some housemade goodies, like meat or tuna spread, self made creamcheese so i was happy about the choice.
Actually not much, just the TV channel choice was a bit poor. Only public channels, even Germany have many free TV private channels.

Nice hotel, wonderful location, calm and beautiful but still fairly central and well connected. Staff were very helpful. Very good breakfast with excellent home made bread spreads. Wifi worked perfectly.
When I stayed in this hotel a few years ago I had a very large room, but this time it was rather tight and there wasn't any small desk or table for doing work.

We had a late arrival. The hotel desk and entrance closes at 9pm. We were not notified regarding this. We received a call at the airport just before boarding our plane. It was a very unpleasant arriving in the dark . Looking for a key and trying to find our room.

The breakfast was good. The location very nice, in a good neighbourhood and at a short distance of very nice restaurants. We stayed in the souterrainroom, which was a big room. Good beds.
There weren't any facilities in the room to make your own coffee or tea, which was a bit disappointing. We had to turn off the on-off switch of the clock radio and the television in the night because of the hard blue light. . . .
