The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The food was great - we ate lunch there on our arrival. The room was well sized, comfortable and came with of the faculties you would expect. The property is old (the oldest inn on Mull!) but the rooms are very nice and look like they are kept to a high standard. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
To be really pedantic the tv was small but that really didn’t bother us!
Our room was huge , clean , had all we needed and the staff couldn’t have been kinder . We had two dogs with us and they had loads of space too . Food was lovely - though we couldn’t eat in restaurant because of the dogs and had to eat in bar ( same menu though ) . All in all it was perfect for us .
Public bar looks a little bit tired but this not a major issue .
The location the lovely owners and a great room
A lovely room, fairly spacious for the age of the inn. Nice sized bathroom, too.
The bed was a bit soft—maybe all Scottish beds are this way? And Dervaig is pretty remote—nothing they could fix, of course, but travelers should know that it’s a drive—on narrow, one lane roads—to get anywhere.
It was a nice old building in a pleasant village. Staff very friendly and welcoming, nice atmosphere. Pleasant library/sitting room for use by residents. Dogs welcome.
Room was above the bar and the smoking area and there was quite a lot of noise till 2 a.m. (we stayed on Friday and Saturday nights). Mattress quality (sprung) wasn’t great and too soft for us. Breakfast was generally good but had clearly been prepared in advance and kept warm. Food was good overall but not great.

A choice of cereals, yoghurt and fruit, kippers and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs are also offered at the property. The Bellachroy offers a bar with occasional live music, quiz nights and other events. Guests can enjoy ale from Loch Fyne brewery and whisky from the nearby Tobermory Distillery.
