Pimalai Resort And Spa - Ko Lanta - Building

9.5 Excellent (2,109 reviews)
C$ 449+
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about Pimalai exceeded my expectations. The resort is the perfect blend of "jungle meets luxury beach resort". The staff was excellent. Everytime I sat down at the pool or the beachside, there was a cool glass of water immediately beside me and a smiling face asking if there was anything they could do to make me more comfortable. I was very impressed that on my last day, the resort held a staff appreciation day. I like supporting resorts that value their staff and treat them fairly. I will return to Pimalai and highly recommend it to others!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, restful, quiet. Well kept. All the employees were kind and caring and attentive! Food was amazing as were the views of the sea! I liked everything about it!!!!
Cons: A bit of a drive from Krabi. Vans were comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: staff, cleanness, arrival and departure pick up service and restaurant at beach side served amazing sea food
Cons: breakfast spread was limited compared to price charged
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is the second time visiting Pimalai and we received the same excellent service we have to come t0 expect from Pimalai. This time we really enjoyed the Rak Talay restaurant on the beach, having sundowners every evening and enjoying the sunset and the friendly staff. We were treated to special treats and wine as we were returning guests and the staff ensured that we were always treated well. We had some great Spa treatments and lounged around the pool with stunning views. If I could I would come back here every year.
Cons: As we were there in low season the Spice & Rice restaurant was closed and we had t travel to the top part of the resort. Which was not a major issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I usually travel but Pimalai is by far extra exceptional in EVERYTHING than any other places I visit...specially what makes is extra are the hospitality of the people...I will definitely visit back soon
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The resort was beautiful, the staff was top notch, and the food was great. A real value for the money. I would gladly stay again and highly recommend this resort.
Cons: It was a little far from the town of Saladan, but in a way that was a blessing because it was very quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff, amazing property with a spectacular beach and amenities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning place and great for complete relaxation - lovely rooms and great service. Amazing attention to detail too.
Cons: Sometimes the staff can be a little over bearing - at breakfast one morning we were asked what coffee we would like from 4 different staff members in the space of 5 mins!! The staff are great but sometimes it just gets a bit much and feels like they need to be taught the “less is more sometimes” rule
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this resort was incredible. The property is absolutely gorgeous with amazing water features, gardens, buildings and jaw-dropping ocean views all over...from the pools, to the spa, to the restaurants and lounge areas. The staff was so caring, attentive and friendly—they even remembered our names. We stayed in a hillside villa with an ocean view and private pool—incredible; the room was luxurious with authentic Thai decor and the views were phenomenal—hands down the best room we’ve ever stayed in anywhere! The daily breakfast buffet was fabulous with extensive options, the shuttle service around the resort was a very nice service and the spa is a truly amazing experience.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Adult only on the beach Luxury modern Thai accommodation Environmentally conscious Beautiful grounds and excellent resident only restaurant
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Small resort very attentive friendly staff with great facilities and lovely food. Very quiet and good spa although quite pricey. They did do a buy one get one massage free on Fridays but the masseuse wasn’t as good that time round.
Cons: A lot of rubbish washing in from the sea onto the beach by the resort. Use of plastic water bottles as free water in rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Only one waiter at the restaurant area was not friendly at all. She was struggling to smile. But the rest of them were absolutely great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Truly was an experience of a lifetime, the staff were incredible, food amazing, views spectacular.
Cons: Some days the service was slightly inconsistent. e.g. some days refreshments served by pool, some days not
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Adults only resort.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This was a great location on Long Beach. We went at the beginning of low season and enjoyed the beach nearly all to ourselves. The property is spectacular, including the wellness and infinity pools. The gym has cardio and weight options, very well stocked. Breakfast was always an amazing spread with delicious hand crafted juices, wellness shots, and a do-it-yourself morning cocktail. Happy Hour from 5-7pm was a fantastic way to watch the sunset. 2 for 1 drink specials and some snacks. The property offers a ton of excursions but recommend you book through a third party, either online or just outside the property. We found the local guides provide a more unique, small group experience for a much lower cost.
Cons: Two dislikes. 1. The bed is extremely firm. If that's your thing, then you'll love it. It did not make for a sound night sleep. 2. We exchanged some money at the front reception desk and were shocked that they did not honor the same banking exchange rate. There was an exorbitant up-charge that truly rubbed us the wrong way.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet is outstanding and the pool area and service is fabulous - cold iced water, fruit and neck and shoulder massage when it had rained in the morning!
Cons: The location is a little out of the way. A 20-30mins walk to some local cheaper more authentic restaurants. Okay if you are happy to stay in the hotel restaurant for the entire trip though!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have had the most incredible stay Layana, the staff were incredibly attentive, polite and friendly. Our beachfront villa was outstanding, clean with all the facilities you could possibly need. We were right next to the pool, beachfront & bar - the views were breathtaking. The food and drinks at Layana is by far the best food we have had whilst in our 2 week stay in Thailand, I genuinely was so very impressed. The menu is extensive and staff are always on hand to Layana is worth every penny, you don’t have to leave the hotel. Everything you could want or need is right here at a Layana. We met people who have been coming to Layana for years, and I completely understand why, I would come back here within a heartbeat.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Individual attention from all the staff made us feel very special - from the General Manager, David to the bar keeper, they have taken "service" to the next level. Nothing is too much for them, absolutely amazing experience - we were so spoilt with unexpected extras which ensures we will not book anywhere else when visiting Ko Lanta again (this was our 8th visit to Thailand)
Cons: Alcohol prices at the poolbar were pretty steep although the resort had a lot of after hour activities so this is to be expected. Although we expected it, very few restuarants in the neighborhood were open during the green season but we rented a scooter and found a few good spots like the Irish Embassy - try it for lots of fun.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Made an effort to reduce waste by handing out reusable waterbottles and shopping bags
Cons: Quite a lot of trafic on the street but not much to do in the neighbourhood
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Comfortable and clean hotel with a environmental concept and urge. Very near to a very good beach. Swimming at high and low tide very good and compatible for children. Very good coffee on top. Thumbs up for the friendliest staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great localisation, 1 min to the best beach in Koh Lanta. Great value breakfest in hotel and even better dinners just across the street. Incredible staff, we forgot wallet from the room and this nice lady went running after us and caught us at the pier right before our boat departed. Not many would do that.
Cons: There was really no downside
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great comfortable stay close to the beach. Breakfast was good and convenient. Location great only a few minute walk that the beach and great value for money! Would stay again.
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: They made us feel super welcome. It’s family run and all the staff are super nice. Would definitely come back. Coffee at their cafe is great.
Cons: Not much, rooms could be little bigger. Breakfast options little limited but plenty of restaurants close by.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room is nice and cozy, it's not big, but enough for two of us. They give you coffee voucher if you don't need room cleaning or changing your towels. The location is great, there are some great Thai restaurants near by, and not so far from my favorite ice-cream shop "Two Scoops", also it only takes a couple of mins to walk to the beach, along which you can get massages, bars and restaurants. The motorcycle rental price is fair here, and they can arrange trips to the nearby islands. Lanta@Home has a bristro, serving very good coffee too!
Cons: nothing at all
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was handy, staff absolutely lovely and eco friendly giving metal bottles to reduce plastic. Also helped us with renting bike, borrowed us matts for the beach and gave us info on what best to do in area. Property was nice clean had a homely feel as you walked into the family watching cartoons and playing would stay again
Cons: Bathroom got very wet as curtain didn’t pull all the way across with the water then being trapped in between shower and toilet due to a wooden plank. Nothing to big just very hard to clear without using towels to dry floor as no other plug on that side.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Can't praise Lanta@Home enough, we were treated like family, lovely people, lovely place!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very helpful and accomodating. The hotel is clean, of great structure and delicacy in every detail. No breakfast included, but there is a good and cheap cafe on the ground floor.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Beautiful views out to sea. A very quiet and peaceful pool area that never seemed crowded. The staff were always attentive and paid good attention to detail. Credit to the owner.
Cons: Any point would only seem picky.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location. A short wall from the beach and close to bars and restaurants but far enough away to be very quiet. Staff are very helpful. Nice pool.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Where do I start - I didn‘t dislike anything. if you choose included breakfast, you have the possibility to choose a new delicious, freshly made dish every morning - Pancakes, Omelette, Waffles, Asian food, bread baskets.. they also serve fresh fruit and a variety of drinks to choose from. The swimming pool is really unique, starting from the color and ending by the placement of the sun chairs with direct view to the seemingly endless ocean. And THE VIEW again - the Hotels Location is directly upon a cliff, the sunsets are breathtakingly beautiful whether you enjoy it from the sun chairs or your terrace. The staff is lovely - always smiling, always going the extra mile and helping out with minor issues (I mean, it‘s the jungle, so a few monkeys or beetles are just normal - that goes for Koh Lanta, Samui, Bangkok and the rest of Asia). If you crave some food, you can either choose the Hotel Restaurant (of course it‘s a bit on the pricey side, but I‘ve never been in a 4,5 star hotel which wasn‘t), there‘s a variety of amazing food options just 2-5 minutes by foot or even faster with the scooter. The same goes for a seven eleven and the beach. This has been the most relaxing location we had the pleasure to stay during our world trips, very calm and relaxing, it was just amazing and if we return to Koh Lanta again (what we definitely do - maybe even this year!) we‘ll choose The Houben again without further looking.
Cons: I really can‘t think of anything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Omg where to start. We absolutely loved every moment we spent in Koh Lanta and The Houben was the cherry on the cake. The hotel facilities and amenities were top class and the service and staff we amazing to deal with. We especially loved and appreciated Shana (the absolute BOSS)! She is hilarious and always a joy to deal with. She should get a raise. We will definitely be back. This hotel and everything else was incredible. See you again soon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The rooms, the staff, the location.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: 1. The place is very tidy and clean 2. The staff r helpful 3. A great variety of the breakfast choices 4. Can enjoy the great sunset view in the hotel 5. Love the scent in the bathroom 6. Have room cleaning twice a day and provide ice in every afternoon. 7.love the cats in the hotel
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely and spacious. Great sea view. Nice big pool and very few guests.
Cons: There was lots of building work going on during our stay which was quite noisy. This spoilt our day at the pool a little although we were given complimentary drinks and staff apologised.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is amazing - it was pure luxury and relaxation. We stayed in one of the suites and it was completely worth it. We loved the amazing view and the outdoor spa bath - the sunset on the veranda was beautiful. The facilities were great and the apartment was spotless. The staff were really helpful and made sure everything was perfect. There are monkeys that come and play around the property so we could watch them whilst having a drink. Thoroughly recommend!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best breakfast I’ve ever had in a resort. Lots of options, the staff were very helpful and they even gave me a cake on my birthday.
Cons: Nothing, long beach chalet really exceeded my expectations.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast
Cons: Slightly softer mattress and better pillows
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely resort, 2 pools and right on the beach. Very easy just to relax at this resort with cafe restaurant next to the pool which is good for food and drinks.
Cons: The beach is covered is plastic/rubbish. Every morning it is covered in rubbish and can see it floating in the sea. People come and clear it in the afternoon but there is so much of it piled up on the sides by the restaurants. Not the easiest to go to different restaurants, the beach is very dark to find different places and no path on the road so would need a taxi which are always outside the hotel but would need to know where you are going. Not much to do but we did go in low season.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice & clean room with huge comfortable bed. Great shower and nice pillows! Beach towels and bottled water provided. Breakfast was good and really nice atmosphere around the resort.
Cons: Resort was very remote with not much around. Couldn’t find a supermarket. Located on a busy road with no footpath.

Pros: Everything was amazing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was fantastic - the bed in particular was incredibly comfortable. We used the gym quite a bit which was great. The pool at our room was great.
Cons: The staff were friendly but didn't seem very experienced. It did feel like a few things were overpriced - for example the taxi to Saladan pier (ten minutes from the hotel) was 400bht, and felt like a bit of a rip off.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were so friendly! Food in the restaurant was EXCELLENT!! Ended up eating there every night we couldn’t resist Beautiful sunset spot with the day beds Nice pool and comfortable sunbeds, plenty to go around
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best hotel of our thailand trip. Because of the low season it felt like we were the only one in the hotel. They have a small beach and it’s kind of rocky, but me and my wife had no problem going into the water. The rooms were amazing, clean and huge and the staff of the hotel did everything to make our stay perfect. Thanks for that

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Secluted cabin, surrounded by green. Very clean an quiete (due to low season). Hotel staff extremely helpful to suggest activity and organize transfers.
Cons: Private beach full of rubbish brought in by the sea. Members of staff were cleaning, but still too much left.

Pros: The room was very clean, spacious, and inviting. AC worked great, the location was one minute from the beach. Free shuttle service from the pier. New water and towels every day. Great value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: * The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Mr Tan is very kind, we arrived super early before checking in time and he let us into our room to relax before sorting check in details. Also offered to pick us up at the pier if you don’t want to get a minivan taxi. Rented a motorbike from him and didn’t need to pay until we’ve finished using it. * Use of the pool is next door at Lanta Riviera Resort, with sea view restaurant. * Room is cleaned and towel change everyday unlike some places I’ve stayed in. Totally recommend this Boutique House.
Cons: None!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was amazing , he didn’t rush for passports when we arrived, he booked trips for us and even arranged pick up by the ferry company free of charge. Perfect location near beach and restaurants but quiet room. You get free use of next doors pool too. Very well thought out room with everything we needed and more. Thanks wished we could have stayed longer.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious modern room, clean bathroom with wall separating shower. New clean towels and water every day. Owner is very kind and collected us from the pier when we arrived. Bike rental just nearby as well as selection of restaurants. Beach is very close and you have use of swimming pool too. Lovely place, would recommend.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Wifi, air aconditioner, pool, and the beach two blocks away. One block to the main street where you have lots of places to eat, and rent a scoter for the day. Very good and not expensive!
Cons: Sometimes they forgot to clean the cups. But it was a minor detail.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was great! Great price, close to the beach and pool, many nice restaurants nearby. Owner was super helpful, and picked us up by the pier.
Cons: Not much to do in the area, however you could always rent a scooter and go somewhere. Also there was often issues with the plumming in the toilet, but that is generally common in Thailand.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The manager was really nice and the room were clean and comfortable. The balcony is a real plus. Highly recommended.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, big room. Quiet.
Cons: Pool is at another hotel

Pros: The airport pick up service with this hotel was great, we were picked up by private car from Krabi and two hours later arrived at the hotel. The bed was very large and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned everyday and we were provided with clean towels each day too! The property was very close to the beach and some good restaurants. Getting to use the swimming pool was a great bonus! This hotel is amazing value for money, would stay here again! Mr tan is a great host!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great! And the private beach of the hotel was a jewel. As for the staff, they've got the best and polite staff, especially the receptionist, Cassy.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly, the grounds were beautiful. Rooms are nice and clean. The beach in this area is really nice, if you go a little more north to the next beach it becomes very shelly.. so this beach is nice at the hotel. Ko Lanta was really fun. Very laid back vibe, still areas of untouched beaches. You must rent a motor bike, it is so fun to drive along the beach and check put each little town along the way. Driving the whole west coast of the island takes only and hr or two. We really enjoyed that part of our time in Ko Lanta. The hotel offers motor bike rentals on site, which make it really convenient. Local traffic is mild so it's a good place to start riding, vs a busy crazy city like Bangkok. We didn't eat much at the hotel but we did eat at two places near the hotel thay we really liked one was called Pinky's the other Sonya
Cons: The hotel in my opinion, was more of a 4-star rather than a 5 star Resort. Also depending on the room thats booked you may be at the top of the hill which means long walks back and forth between the rooms if you don't want to wait for a buggy. The extra cost of the pond rooms is well worth it for location convenience. We actually had our room moved down, because the walk/ uphill trek was so strenuous. The breakfast is included in the morning and served outside which tends to be really warm even early am. Also be sure to specify your bed preference when you check it, we were on our honeymoon and they initially gave us a room with two twin beds and never asked our preference at check in, another reason why we have to be moved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful resort, great location, delicious breakfast
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is a proper resort. Huge, with carts that take you around the property if you don’t feel like walking. The rooms are gorgeous, pool is amazing, food is fantastic, and the service is off the charts. Celine at the front desk was so sweet and helpful. Nana and Mam in the spa treated us like goddesses. If you can, get a spa service. It is five star treatment, the best I’ve ever had, and they are running lots of specials since it is low season. Being low season, the ocean pool isn’t there, but we loved the main infinity pool, and there couldn’t have been more than 50-75 guests staying at the hotel, and we would only ever see a handful of people at the pool or restaurants at any given time. Highly recommend staying here!! Some amenities we loved were ping pong tables, a library with computers and lots of books in various languages, pool bar, and bubble bath foam :)
Cons: Our only complaint would be that the curtains were not blackout. We closed both pairs of curtains each night, and were awoken to sunlight at 6am each morning. Bring a sleep mask. We also felt that the prices at the restaurant bar were quite high. We ordered two glasses of wine and it came to 350 baht per glass... The bottle of wine in the minibar in our room was only 750, so we could have had double the wine for the same price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very sincere staff. Forgot money in safe and they transfer back to my account.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff set the bar for customer care here (thanks Cassy). Premises are spotless with excellent facilities. Transport to and from the rooms is quick and efficient. Views are wonderful as are the breakfasts. Thoroughly recommend.
Cons: Absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing and all the staff were very productive. The pool was absolutely wonderful.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel shuttle service is a nice feature as you can quickly get around the resort. The breakfast was good, the pools are amazing and the beach is beautiful. They gave us a free room upgrade on arrival which was a huge bonus.
Cons: They should be a little stricter with people in the swimming pools. There were kids drinking in the pool and then emptying their cans into it too. There were people smoking at the poolside too. Even though there are clear signs you can’t do either. Perhaps it was because they were Chinese and the hotel didn’t want to hurt their main clientele.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff is fabulous - Mee, Lit and their bar team in particular. The whole resort is also just beautiful, even if not brandnew anymore. Prices during law season are a bargain. Great breakfast!
Cons: The Beach is not really suitable for swimming - during low season it is also heavily littered. While the rooms are reasonably priced, all additional services are pretty expensive.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Big Comfortable Breakfast room
Cons: Not much beachfront (Sea encroaching on land)

Pros: Friendly and helpful and always smiling ladies on reception Fair prices
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The people and the location
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean and spacious room. The most friendly staff that we had in a whole month of Thailand traveling. Nothing was a problem. They managed a transit to Koh Samui for us and opened reception earlier so we could check out. Free water refill. 7/11 right across the street. Very close to restaurants and bars. Close to the beach (2 min). We could also rent a motorcycle from the hotel (that was necessary since we wanted to explore the whole island).
Cons: The closest beach is not the best one for swimming but you can still watch romantic sunset or just relax by the sea there.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good amenities
Cons: The water in the shower didn't leave due to the dirty drain
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, well located, comfty, super clean and above all the staff is really kind and helpful!
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Stayed in the dorm - lots of space and privacy. Strong AC, super friendly staff, refillable water and tea/coffee, across from 7/11. Has everything you need for a perfect stay, especially if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing time.
Cons: The mosquitoes (despite having AC). Blanket was too thin and small.

Pros: Stage was very very very friendly, professional and hard working. Great view, pool, sea, and beach.
Cons: Breakfast bit boring after a while and bed was hard, but they solved this. Also noise from the road.

Cons: All was great
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff, beach, facilities, swimming pool, restaurant - all amazing
Cons: Many bungalows located next to the road and it is a bit noisy late at night and early in the morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool is awesome, staff were friendly, location is great with lots of bars and restaurants close by. Small resort so more personal vibe.
Cons: The mattress was a bit too firm
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We did noy expect to enjoy the place as much as we did. The location is worth every penny: right on the beach, with a nice pool on site, a very professional massage service, and a very good restaurant (maybe the price seems a bit higher than other places in the area, but we fely the food was really clean and high quality). Breakfast served until 10, a bit more variety would be welcome but overall you have fruits, cooked food - 1 option - changes daily, bacon, eggs - any type etc. Cleaning in the rooms was done on request (it is enough to put up a sign at the door). Beach towels available upon request as well. We also liked this part of Koh Lanta - it is great for couples looking to relax. Not too noisy, not a lot of night parties (options nearby though), not busy at all, wide beach, lovely sunsets.
Cons: Prices seem a bit higher than the average of the area (for food we felt it was totally worth it, but for other things - like motorbike rental - maybe not so much, especially as there are no discounts for hotel guests).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The resort was beautiful, the room was spacious with and excellent view. The decor was contemporary and nice.
Cons: The bed was too firm for my liking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Best beach location in Lanta, great hotel and pool. Excellent service from everyone!

Pros: EVERYTHING! From the impeccable service to beautiful grounds, I LOVED this resort. The beach was a stone’s throw away and the property is close to several tour stands, including one on-site. I was impressed by the food, spa and pools. When I return to Koh Lanta, I will DEFINITELY book this resort again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing safe! So attentive. Beautiful hotel and pools, lovely breakfast. Very nice and relaxing. The most wonderful end to my holiday.
Cons: Nothing, loved every second of it
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The personnel is awesome, super kind and helpful. They did everything possible to help us being the most comfortable as possible as my wife was feeling sick. Many thanks!
Cons: The room gets some sunlight during the morning via the bathroom windows. Beds are comfortable but too soft for what we are used to.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very good, the bed comfortable. The pool was nice and clean. The beach is lovely, good for long walks
Cons: It would have been good to have a shortcut from the reception to the room I was in, through the herb garden instead of having to walk all the way back to the front of the hotel. The gardens did not look at its best, I think more plants and flowers would help it look better taken care of. The breakfast is ok, by changing the set up, it would look much better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Private pool room was great with an extremely comfy bed, staff were always friendly and happy to give you a lift to meals back to room etc, quiet pools due to it being low season and the infinite pool onto the pool offered free at views. Would definitely recommend staying here and the woman across the street to hire scooters/book ferry’s with.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely amazing....everything was perfect ...high standards in all respects. All staff were such beautiful people .....
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had a great “private pool villa” room. Quiet and secluded, right next to central pool. Outdoor bathroom area which was a bit quirky and the fear of mosquitos in the night was a little off putting at first but we really had nothing to worry about. A good can of spray is provided. A lovely infinity pool which was a perfect temperature with a lovely look out over the beach. The breakfast was ok. Restaurant food was great though. All staff very attentive and all our needs were met! Book your tours and car hire here too as they are cheaper. Great Spa with an amazing reflexology massage! Overall we enjoyed it because it was low season and was quiet which it was we wanted.
Cons: Disappointed to find renovations going on and the beach bar to be closed when we arrived as this was never mentioned on the website, however it didn’t spoil our stay.

Pros: great location, next to bars which are open all night and great pool with a view. Rooms open up to garden and sea view and quite large.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was an amazing hotel right on a quiet beach. Massages there were great and so was the food. Didnt want to leave
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly! Even from the bungalows that are the farthest away from the beach you can walk there under 5 minutes. The beach itself is nice: you can sit, there are some hammocks and you can order food and drinks from the restaurant on the property. Water is fresh and cold and you can refill in the lobby as often as you like. They also rent motorbikes to you. I would definitely come again!
Cons: Maybe in the busy season there are not enough seats on the beach. Also one of the hammocks could be repaired or replaced.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: On beach, great friendly staff and food choice very good.
Cons: Towels need proper cleaning
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Small, but nice bungalows
Cons: Hard madrasses in bunk bed (family room). Even harder than normal "thai" standard
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds and amazing staff, would recommend for anyone wanting to visit khlong khong.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: cute little bungalows situated just a few meters from the beach. super helpful staff who helped us book snorkeling trips, and we were able to rent a scooter from them, too. they also do a great coconut shake, with coconut water instead of cream.
Cons: nothing - great value for money!
7.0 Good
Pros: On the be on the beach easy to rent a motorcycle ..mini markets close ..
Cons: Staff seemed to hang out behind our bungalow though the day..I thought it was privacy issue ..a lot of families stayed here..it was very busy at the pool.great for families though..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything you want on a holiday is there. On site massage, swimming pool, breakfast included, happy hour ;). They even handed us a metal water bottle when we arrived to use for water so we would not have to buy plastic water bottles.
Cons: The only thing I noticed that was inconsistent with the “eco friendly “ nature of this hotel was that they used plastic straws instead of the eco friendly paper straw. We would like to see this change. Another area that was not awesome was the rocks everywhere in the ocean. The beach was okay and when the tide was high you could swim np but when the tide was out the ocean was in accessible. Dispite these relatively minor issues, we will go back if we ever have the chance.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for 7 nights in July and really enjoyed the hotel. Rooms were great, pool area super and bar wonderful at sunset. Buffet breakfast and staff a highlight. Would recommend!
Cons: Restaurant menus pretty limited for vegetarians, which is surprising in Thailand! Consequently we had to leave the hotel to eat. Many local places are closed in low season so this proved challenging and required a taxi to get to places. The near-by beach is strewn with rubbish and completely deserted which was also a down-side of low season.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and polite. Our room was very clean and tidy. The restaurants and bars on offer were good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is kept super clean and nice in this ressort. Staff is outstanding friendly and very helpful. Everything is close by. The landscape around this ressort is amazing. We’d definitely come back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything it was sublime, classy & exotic...tremendous hotel! Particularly like the treehouse seating of the Reggae Bar...Awesome.
Cons: Too beautiful lol
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Most beautiful property! Very helpful and went out their way to help me. Would 1000% stay again
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the room, fantastic bed extremely comfy! Outdoor area was a good size and truly relaxing. Swimming pools perfect, big and clean with comfy sun beds and parasols Breakfast has a large variety Saladan area nice to visit in the evening lovely India called maharaja
Cons: Had a less than average experience with the cliff top restaurant ordered a prawn salad sadly the salad was a bowl of lettuce two tomatoes and some olives. Club sandwich and fries came cold when mentioned to a staff member it got returned to the kitchen and microwaved. Would advice arriving to the restaurant before 10:15 for breakfast as the staff are keen to have the buffet cleared away by 10:30 One extra shuttle bus service in the evening would be ideal as 8pm was a little late for us to get dinner (understandably it is their low season)
6.2 Good
Pros: Shuttle Service to Saladan
Cons: Hotel is quite far away from the main spots, it doesn't have a sandy beach and you have to walk a lot between the facilities(or be driven by carts)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The swim in swim out pool is amazing - the ability to sun bathe and cool off in your on room is something I took full advantage of.
Cons: The rooms AC was a little loud, and the room was clean - but the standards of cleaning may be slightly lower than what we are used to in America.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in across the world on our travels. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much for any of them. Our room had a large balcony overlooking the sea and sunset - perfect! Thank you especially to Made at the breakfast buffet, this guy is a treasure!
Cons: There was nothing to dislike about this hotel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Resort is on a hillside but they have a shuttle to take you to your location. From front desk through restaurant staff (breakfast/bar/dinner) to room cleaning all were welcoming, happy and cheerful, helpful and efficient. We had rooms with pool access which were more than adequate, good aircon, sufficient storage, tv and of course direct access to the pool which is approx. 7 x 50 metres and then turns at 90 deg for a similar distance. A second more shapely pool is also provided higher up the hill.
Cons: Nothing to fault, perhaps a step to help getting out of the pool for the old and slightly infirm - that would be my husband.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool side entry was fantastic, and not busy at all so it felt almost like a private pool. The free bottles of water given were glass and not plastic which was a nice thought, and we were treated very well during our stay there, with nice touches for our wedding anniversary.
Cons: Despite signage to not replace towels, our towels were always replaced (not sure I’ve been to a fancy place that doesn’t tbf). The chopsticks at breakfast are disposable (but you can just use a fork), which was a shame to see.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were awesome very helpful and attentive. Pools were great and the front beach area and bar was excellent, enjoyed watching those red sunsets and enough seating to go round.
Cons: Maybe the resort needs a little cosmetic touch up some parts are quite degraded. And these next points can't reflect the resort but a lot of party music from surrounding bars can be heard well into the next morning, sadly the beach is great but alet down is the rubbish that is washed up each tide and never cleaned up apart from the resorts part, not really close to shops as such perhaps a shuttle bus to Saladan Pier at set times would help.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great pools and location.
Cons: nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: Very good breakfast and the staff was very nice.
Cons: Intense mold smell in the bedroom. The reception was really nice and managed to change my room but the new one was the same.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staffs are very nice and helpful. Beautiful view, and I like the pool and garden there. Close to the beach. I had a good stay.
Cons: Summer is the low seasons so not many restaurant open and not many entertainments in the night. The Friday night buffet is a little bit disappointed, not as good as the promotion, then we go to somewhere else for dinner
7.5 Good
Pros: Is a quiet place, perfect for take a rest, the accommodation was very clean, the swimming pool is great,
Cons: Every thing was perfect but the costumer service doesn't the best,
8.0 Excellent
Cons: There was very strong smell from the waste of toilet/shower. This was quite uncomfortbale.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful resort on a nice beach. Pools were nice and the grounds were very well kept. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious.
Cons: Some components such as the restaurant, laundry, and bar were overpriced but that comes with the territory of a resort. You are a little distance from other restaurants so a cab or moped is required to do some exploring.

Pros: Good location. Beach and restaurants nearby, only a couple of minutes. Staff helpful and friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Nice swimming pool, ideal for cooling off.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing , it even had its own hamaca. The pool was very good and the breakfast also is really good but the best part of it it is how close it is to long beach
Cons: If you get one of the old rooms you might get a lot of mosquitoes
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant here is the best on the whole island. Truly magnificent. The staff are lovely. For the price it is a no brainer if you are going to Lanta.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was nice and clean at check in. Staff was super friendly and would go out of their way to accomodate us. Definitely would stay again!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Close by the beach and main road, clean and comfortable bed nice swimming pool the reception lady very helpful nice and speak good English. The staff always smiling we booked one day but stay a week we very enjoy to stay thank you will come back again
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool area was great, bungalows were nice and comfortable, very relaxing atmosphere!
7.5 Good
Pros: The restaurant was excellent and also great prices. It's a very short stroll to an awesome beach. A few corner shops just next door so very convenient. We loved the hammocks on the deck.. a perfect spot to lay down. The pool area is excellent and love that they have shade over it and toys for the kids. The fruit platters at breakfast are outstanding and beautiful to see!
Cons: First impressions were it's all a bit neglected and not a happy place to work.. there is rubbish in the gardens and the empty bottles and glasses at the pool bar stay there for hours at a time while the girl stays on her phone... when i asked for an additional pillow I was told there would be a charge by an irritated receptionist. However.. then there were nice moments like when housekeeping left me a beer and a sweet note. And the other receptionist is very very lovely. We stayed in A8 and the curtains are very very thin so I had to sleep with an eye mask as the whole garden is lit up outside at night. They have a family of cats there and they're very sweet but sadly they do make some areas stink..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy large bed. Surroundings- lush tropical gardens and pool. Easy walk to the beach. Cold a/c. Mini fridge and kettle. Good housekeeping.
Cons: Had to plug Kettle in on the bed as there was no other outlet. Low season so the restaurant and bar were closed (understandable).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were lucky enough to stay here for a month (April). Fabulous staff, so friendly and welcoming, everyone was always smiling and happy to help. The pool is fabulous and a real life saver in the searing heat and you are literally a 2 minute walk down a little road to the sea (you can see the sea from the entrance). The room was cleaned everyday which included the bedding being changed. There was not always hot water for the shower but honestly this was not an inconvenience as the coolish (not cold) water was a welcome relief. The food in the restaurant was fantastic - everything we tried was amazing and we ended up eating there most night (very reasonable prices). Beautiful and lush with greenery but not too many problems with bugs or mozzies (we used the local OFF! - it's in an orange can from the shop at the top of the road, 7 11's don't seem to sell it). Plenty of shops around to buy the things you need. The rooms are spacious and the bed was really comfy as were the pillows. The area is lovely to explore and a short stop in Saladan is a must (try the Fat Pig for breakfast or dinner). I would not recommend a boat tour though, unless of course you enjoy being packed in like sardines, herded about, minimal lunch and water and really the snorkeling revealed much dead coral and very few fish - perhaps some conservation should be taking place. All in all we had an amazing time and Pearl Beach played a huge part in that. Thank you all!!

Pros: Perfect location, very nice and helpfull staff! The hotel was so clean, good breakfast
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was simply unbelievable. They were so kind and helpful. The hotel was also a short walk from the beach and a short taxi ride from the pier. We were able to rent a scooter directly at the hotel and ride through Ko Lanta.
Cons: There wasn't much of a view from our room as it over looked a backyard. The breakfast, when not included was fairly pricy so we did not have it. Not much nightlife or anything to do past 9-10PM.
6.8 Good
Pros: It was clean and the staff was very pleasant.
Cons: Roosters and the Islamic music/prayers were rather loud in the morning. No hot water for the shower.

Cons: The Hotel is nice but it‘s boring. Reception is really dark, Not activities .
6.3 Good
Pros: Close to the beach, the room is quite spacious and clean.
Cons: There was only one power socket in the middle of the wall, impossible to use kettle or charge devices. Wifi password looks automatically generated, random numbers and letters, very annoying to fill in. The girl on reception desk was demanding and arrogant

7.5 Good
Pros: Right on the beach for a good sunset. Pool was closed early unfortunately so didn’t get to give it a go and left early next morning.
Cons: Not a lot in the area to do
6.8 Good
Pros: The staff tried to help us by spraying ant repellant spray and they did the best they could during the circumstances. They were truly helpful and serviceminded. The location is great, close to beach
Cons: We had an invasion of ants in the shower. The tiles were broken on the wall so the ants had made their way in. We had to start our shower by showering off all the ants. There was also a lot of geckos in the bedroom and mosquitos. At night some type of generator started with a huge big noise right next to our bungalow at around 1 am. It sounded like a big truck engine right next to our bedroom.. We did not sleep many hours that night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Location is excelent
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast Location and cleanliness Happy hour cocktails
Cons: No umbrella for sun beds
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First of all, the beah is really good. The sand is white and very soft and even better than the sand in south of the island. Secondly, the staff is very kind. Hotel can send the free three-wheels bike to pick me up in the pier area. And the manager help me to find the cell phone back. We lost it in the beach nearby the massage store and the manger found and kept it till we went back. Finally, ithe room is big and clean. The hotel looks like a big garden and you can even find the beautiful lizard in the tree. So what you will expect more since you only need to pay 40usd for one night(include 2 breakfast)?
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Near the beach and walking distance to the restaurant and shops.
Cons: 1. we booked 2 rooms, 1 supier and 1 standard. We got the worst room in the property, two of ten have the “Old Cemen Wall View” 2. standard room have just “only One” electrical connector in the room. 3. Supierroom::: we could smell and got “seaside feeling “ by “all the garbage cans” just very near our room!! DISGUSTING!! 4.The rooms were not clean when we arrived, very messy on the floors, but 1.5 hr after we complained! the rooms were finally cleaned! 5. We complained about the rooms and needs to changed but staff answered very easily “ sorry We can’t help you” :( 6. Poor Breakfast. “It will be my first and Last stay here” very bad memories about this property! I will surly not come back again! :’(
7.0 Good
Pros: Amazing location and staff really helpful. Beautiful pool. Good breakfast
Cons: Went for standard room. Was an old bungalow in he shady buggy part of resort. Was a little old. Only one plug so could have tv and fridge, had to pick. Couldnt charge phone unless light was on so couldnt charge over night. New bungalows looked lovely, right by the pool.Should have paid the extra.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was good. Breakfast was nice. Pool was nice but very warm water.
Cons: The bungalow was very run down (not like the pictures). The drain of the shower had a bad smell that flooded the room. There was construction going on next door. The door of the standard bungalow didnt really close (space left up and below in the frame) and the air con didnt work that well so mosquitos and bugs came crawling in (no nets as well). So we didnt touch anything and went back to the reception to ask for different room. We saw on booking a superior bungalow would only cost 2 euros more and had real doors so we offered to change and pay the higher price. That staff wasnt very friendly and told us we would also have to pay an extra 15€ for this upgrade and it would not be easy to mobe. We showed them the price on booking and told them we saw a lot of empty bungalows (not many bookings there) but they didnt compromise. We moved to a better hotel the next day with a lot of mosquito bites from the night.
7.0 Good
Pros: Directly at the beach, breakfast was ok
Cons: The stuff didn’t helped us as our transport didn’t pick us up to the ferry.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Best location, beautiful beach with great access to the sea, no jellyfish, not crowded at all. There was great restaurant just next to beach, with friendly prices, and awesome food that tasted great compared to other restaurants that we were in. Koh Lanta is best place to stay, great tours, and option to rent a motorbike almost next door on the street.
Cons: Breakfast still the same, just one option changed everyday. Eggs, sausages, ham, rice, fruit (only Banana, Watermelon and Pineaple), pancake, toasts. That is it :) it was not bad, just still the same... for that price, anyway best deal around.

Pros: This is on a nice spot on the best beach, with lots of convience close by, and pretty beach restaurants to walk too. The pool was good, not very big, just like the property a little tight with all the guests. The breakfast was very simple. I had a room with just a fan, it was unbearably hot, so pay extra for AirCon. Sunsets and beach walks, and a friendly staff.

Pros: I did like the location and the friendly staff, the shops around the facility it was very good.
Cons: I did like everything.
6.8 Good
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable, no bugs to be seen :) Very good location, can rent a scooter from the reception. Swimming pool was nice.
Cons: Staff was not that helpful - or got a feeling that I was bothering them a bit with my questions. Also few friends joined me for lunch and they had to wait for their food for a very long time before it came. Breakfast was included to my payment - first morning I got to choose from the menu, next morning I received the leftovers to take from a buffet that had been served for guests earlier that morning (who had the buffet included). No fresh juices to be served.
6.3 Good
Pros: pool and beach was great - the location to everything outweighed the small complaints I had, and therefore I would try this property again.
Cons: toilet in bathroom had a leak around the base which left a really bad smell in the bathroom. We brought it to management's attention but nothing was done. and the door to our room the lock mechanism on the patio door wasn't that secure.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lady at the reception was so nice and helpfull. She also helped when i got sting by a jellyfish. Pool was very nice right at the beach.
Cons: In my room some dirt was falling down to my bed from the sealing. I cleaned it but more came down.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: location, pool, breakfast
Cons: mirror in the room was too high
6.8 Good
Pros: Pool was super clean, nice beach outfront, beautiful setting
Cons: Hard beds! terrible breakfast! Eggs were precooked and out on table before 6am sat there till 10am. I think they put the same eggs out the next day. Note to owner, if you cooked to order there would be less waste and happy customers. But there was toast and tomato and cucumber. Fresh fruit, but it was not covered and was often covered with fruit flies
8.8 Excellent
Pros: open the door to ur room to see the swimming pool and straight to the beach..absolutely fantastic!! this hotel has muslim breakfast
Cons: the rooms need renovation but it does its purpose..not complaining because the price is rasonable
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and pool! Right on the beach! Buffet breakfast was very good with different foods on offer each day which was appreciated! Fresh milk for coffee! Close to shops, good restaurants and beach bars. Staff arranged for transport and laundry services.
Cons: Beds were old and hard with springs pushing into your back! No blankets! Wifi was so weak in the room and often didn't work even though the room was advertised to have wifi. Room door was close to breaking. Staff kept turning on our outside light (even though we kept turning it off to reduce mosquitoes at night). Restaurant on site does not serve alcohol!

Pros: The location on Klong Dao beach is excellent and this is a beachfront resort with a nice clean infinity pool. Lots of restaurants and bars within an easy walk on the beach. Indian Bar has the best fire shows and we've seen many throughout our travels in Thailand. The Seagull restaurant across the street has excellent food and friendly staff. They give you free chicken satay at happy hour and the drinks are very good and reasonable. We ate here many times and were never disappointed. There is also a 7-11 just across the street and to the right which was very handy because Lanta Garden does not serve or sell alcohol. There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool but a couple of umbrellas would have been nice since one side of the pool was usually in the sun. The staff were friendly and our room was clean. You didn't have to keep your key in the slot which was nice because we always came back to a nice cool room.
Cons: The beds are hard and for that reason alone I would probably seek other options. The breakfast is HORRIBLE!! I don't know why they don't have an egg station like most places and make the omelettes etc. to order because it would make economic sense and at least you could have a hot breakfast. They prepare the omelettes and fried eggs ahead of time and then put them out with the rest of the COLD buffet. Even the Thai rice and noodle dishes are cold. Everything is cold and we only noticed the microwave beside the toaster after a couple of days. Who wants to re heat eggs in a microwave? Ridiculous. The fruit wasn't covered and there were fruit flies everywhere. We pretty much ate toasted cucumber and tomato sandwiches for breakfast. We found the notice on the wall of our room warning that the resort wasn't responsible for lost or stolen things somewhat disconcerting, because the only people who would have access to the room would be the staff. Needless to say we kept our valuables with us at all times. There is a sewage ditch right beside the resort and when you are eating breakfast upstairs, every now and then you would get a whiff of it. However, this is not the fault of the resort nor is the 5:20 AM call to prayer from the Mosque down the road which feels it needs to blast this over loud speakers. At home the Mosques are not allowed to do this as we have strict noise bylaws.
