Staff were very nice. Room was big. Not worth the money to stay here though. Very disappointing.
The most disappointing thing for us was the beach here. In all the pictures it shows a nice clean beach but when we arrived we were disgusted with how much garbage was on the beach. Just the small section (about 10-12 feet wide) of beach right in front of our room, I counted 4 sandals and one running shoe not to mention the countless plastic items and diapers, etc etc....you name it!! It's very disappointing that they didn't have it cleaned. They were cleaning around dinner time but the sun set before it was clean which meant we didn't get to enjoy the beach at all. By the next morning there was just as much garbage. We asked the owner about it and he said it's only like this 3 months of the year but I wish we had known that so that we could have gone elsewhere or stayed somewhere that cleaned the beach earlier in the day so it could be enjoyed. The bathroom is in need of serious cleaning and/or renovations. The windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. Everything seemed to be in pretty rough shape.

Truly on the beach! Quiet spot, but nice selection of bars/restaurants nearby. Big room/bungalow. Good refrigerator. Lots of hot water for showers (if you want it). I would definitely come back!
A few cats around, but they weren’t a problem for me.

Our room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. The staff are super friendly and helpful (especially Mr Pong). The sand on the beach is soft (we went barefoot almost always) and the local bars and restaurants fantastic (with fantastic people). This is our fourth year back and we’ll be back for more next year!!
I can’t think of anything for Baan Rim Lay to improve on.

2nd Visit to this accommodation. Clean, comfortable and beautiful views out to the ocean. Mr Pong and his staff were all fabulous and very helpful.
