Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests overwhelmingly praised the friendly and helpful staff, the authentic ryokan experience, and the convenient access to the onsen bathhouse, which was often included or located just across the street. Many appreciated the traditional Japanese atmosphere, clean and comfortable rooms, and thoughtful amenities like kimono pajamas and luggage assistance. Breakfast received mixed feedback, with some guests finding it delicious and varied, while others felt it was limited or below expectations. The location was considered quiet and residential, but not ideal for sightseeing or dining options. Room sizes were typical for Japan—compact but clean and well-maintained. Overall, guests valued the unique cultural experience and attentive service.

Pros (+) If you are a looking for a traditional Japanese Ryokan experience, this is a great place. Note: This means you sleep on the floor on a futon, not in a proper bed. With this hotel you also get free access to the spa across the street.
