Light switch for the toilet only, not the whole room. Also, more than 1 water.
Price and location. Friendly staff
Air conditioning. The fan had one speed and the unit was noisy. I think the one person at the desk could increase to two as the one person was expected to cashier, answer touring questions and manage guest reception.
WiFi wouldn’t connect
Looked great from the outside but the room was tiny and the bed was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever stayed on.
The bed was awful
We were in Boston for the Head of the Charles Regatta and the Aloft was fantastic for many reasons. The location is very convenient; we took the red line train out of the Alewife station each day into Boston. It was nice that there is a selection of food at all times in the lobby area (the pre-made salads were great), and free coffee in the morning. The rooms are very clean and nice. The hotel representatives are very professional, very knowledgeable, and very personable (Allison helped us out a lot). It was a great trip and the Aloft was a fantastic place to stay!
Great modern hotel and terrific staff
Our recent family stay at the Aloft was terrific. Staff was great, hotel is modern and fun (pool table in lobby). Great bar and food was great for quick purchase items. Love this hotel and would recommend to anyone traveling to Boston. It is only about 30 min from Boston and about 45 from Salem so location is great for traveling.
Accomadations came as a couple was given room with two twin beds said third party booking so they couldnt fo anything ?? there was no more king rooms Or queen beds im guessing
the staff were both kind and helpful
The bar area, food was good, drinks we're good. The contemporary look was nice, overall great experience.
The pool area was very small and extremely hot.
It was very different from the standard hotel looks, in that they are very colorful and the organization of the space and room is very unique. Definitely nice to see a hotel that is not the standard fare, especially outside of a major city. The king sized bed was pillow top and felt amazing. They had so many pillows on the bed that we had to move some off to a lounge chair. They gave out (free) bags of ice downstairs in the snack bar area instead of having an ice dispenser on each floor, which was another oddity, but we were ok with that. No complimentary breakfast, but there was an area where they served food if you wanted to order it for 24hrs. They have shampoo and body soap dispensers that are attached to the wall under the shower head. First time we saw that, and not sure if we liked it or not because it can be opened by guests and refilled, but it was better if you use a lot of shampoo and conditioner. They use Bliss products which was nice. Room was very well lit, with two separate overhead reading lights at the bed. Indoor pool was nice since it closed at 11pm. The water was a good temp but theres lots of chlorine in that water though. Overall a clean and neat experience at this hotel. I'd recommend it.
Water pressure in the shower could be better. It didn't feel strong enough to wash away all the soap. Hard to get out of the parking lot of the hotel into the main road, as the stop light took about 8 minutes to change to green. Not sure if this may be a city street light issue, but they should probably have a better exit onto a main road. Bathroom could be a bit bigger as the fridge was underneath the bathroom sink.
I had an extremely pleasant stay, and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for an affordable option right outside of Boston that has exceptional customer service. I stayed here on a visit from FL to see my family, and wanted to enjoy the serene environment of Lexington as an escape from the city. Everything was flawless with our stay.
The building is a leed gold, which means green energy efficient building with great indoor air quality. The hotel staff was very professional and helpful. I would love to stay there again.
The pool water was full of salt and chlorine.
