Location aside, there was little to like about this hotel.
No aircon Lifts not working Awful pillows
The location of the hotel is great, you are at the centre of a travel hub, train, tube, taxi, bus. After a long train journey the weary traveller is only 500 yards walking distance from Euston Train Station to the hotel down a quiet side street. The staff at reception are unfailingly polite and efficient. There was an issue about my room which the receptionist instantly solve. The rooms are spotlessly clean.
The route to the hotel has been made circuitous by a major extension to Euston Railway Station.
if you book the breakfast on arrival it cost £10 (£15 if you wait till later) which isnt bad value for London. The breakfast had a limited choice but adequate
The lift was very poor / faulty, in the end it was easier to take the stairs as we were only on the second floor.
Staff really helpful
Doors slaming late at night
The people working at reception were the only friendly, helpful people there.
The rooms were tiny, the breakfast facilities were very very poor. I have never stayed in a hotel where they fry eggs long before they are needed. Poached eggs were floating in a container of water, looked absolutely disgusting. When we asked for fresh fried eggs, there were many sulky faces. The way the breakfast was on display with the not so clean kitchen behind was not a pleasant site. The carpets in the corridors were very marked and dirty.
