Good value tariff, good food and ales, excellent breakfast. A feeling of quality.
Quite noisy from adjacent rooms and kitchens below.
Excellent food, great value
location and general standard of accommoodation is excellent value for price
Food has become very good indeed. Overall package represented extremely good value, especially since we stayed on a Saturday night. Impressed that we were telephone in advance to warn us of possible disturbance from nearby disco (in the event, this was not a problem at all). Decent sized beds (I am six foot plus)
The food was excellent
It was only an overnight stay where we used the restaurant, garden and bar facilities only. The staff were friendly and accomodating. We ate in the restaurant, which was quite expensive, and found that the same meals were on the bar menu at much reduced prices. There was no facility to pick individual courses from the menu, for example we both thought that the starter and main meal was enough.
I had a charge of £1 put on my bill for some sort of New Forest charity collection. I would have preferred for someone to ask me first rather than just accept that I would pay for it. I didn't disagree with the cause by the way.
Excellent service. We appreciated the breakfast cooked to order and our evening meal was of a very high standard.
Clean rooms, good value on last minute booking. Good range of breakfast food.
The receptionist on the morning of our departure was unhelpful and a little rude, which unfortunately tainted our image of the hotel Very noisy shower!
