Proximity to the river.
The beds had a crater in them and were creaky and uncomfortable. The curtains did not provide much privacy. The hostel is more of a party vibe so late to bedders and late to rise will feel more at home here. I felt nickled and dimed- this hostel is one of the pricier in malacca and they charge you for group activities run by the volunteers, bike ride to the mosque, etc. This is free at other hostels.
The hostel has a really nice atmosphere, great for solo travellers, I met a lot of people upon arrival already. The rooftop are is really beautiful and full of plant and a chill area. Great staff and good breakfast as well!
The only thing was that the beds didn't seem that clean to me, but other than that great place!
Staff were friendly, always ready to help. And I was pleasantly surprised breakfast was included - delicious pancakes. The owner of the establishment, Howard, even makes it a point to greet and welcome each and every traveler and making sure everyone feels at home. Very cozy feel. Like the capsule dorm coz of the privacy. Love the rooftop - breezy and happening at night
Really great staff and volunteers, all super kind and helpful. The bike tour to the mosque at sunset is great, definitely do it if you can! We had a great group of people and volunteers that made it fun Nice rooftop for meeting other guests, great for solo travellers. Overall feat value for money and a great stay.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. It was a good location close to the city centre.
The bathrooms were run down and there was only one toilet on the second floor. We booked dorm beds but were given a private room due to a booking conflict. From what we saw, the dorm looked a lot more comfortable. The air con in our room wasn't very effective so the room was too hot overnight.
