The pool was nice, the hotel is also a lovely sun trap! It is in a great location and the food in the evening is good. The lady at reception was helpful.
We had a deluxe room that stated we had a hairdryer, this was not the case and when asked there seem to be no answer. My partner and I had a room and my mum also had a room, both a deluxe room. However, my mum had a smart tv and great air con and we had no smart tv and the air con was poor. When i asked the man who worked there he basically shrugged his shoulders as if there was nothing could do and merely suggested we swap rooms with my mum. He was pretty unhelpful, we speak some spanish but he often seemed to not understand a thing but the lady who worked there did. If you do not speak spanish you will struggle here. One night the whole of Mancora lost power, as much as the hotel did what they could there was limited communication on the lack of water and when this would be back on which was not ideal. The breakfast was basic but ok, they could offer some fruit.
Location is not far from everything.
2 huge cockroaches in our room (budget double). Poor breakfast (but seems to be standard in northern Peru). No wifi in the room!!! Doors don't close properly and mosquitos sneak in. Showers are a joke, there is a "spray" of water instead of a stream. If you are tall, you won't be able to sit on the toilet. Pretty noisy. Overall totally overpriced for what you get.
The property was beautiful, the pool and gardens were well kept. The service from the people that worked their was above and beyond... HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying there.
We could check in quite early when we arrived at 6 o clock,
When you want to pay in Sol they charge you 5 % more (Same with Credit Card or cash) due to their bad Exchange Rate. When we complaint about this we didn‘t feel welcome anymore. In the morning of the second day we wanted to leave the Hotel early because we booked a tour.when we asked for room cleaning they told us we had to change the room because it was booked by other People.they didn‘t care that we had to rush a lot and came late to our booked tour.At the evening and the morning after we saw that our room was still free and booked by nobody. For us it was by fare the most expensive (115 Dollars for a Triple per Night) and one of the worst stays in Peru !
Very clean and extremely helpful staff
