    Stayed at the hotel over Christmas. Could not have made a better choice as everything was fantastic and memorable. The special dinners on Christmas Eve and Day were amazing five-course meals, with the decorations, live harp and harpsichord music. The spa and pool are very nice and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful, and the location private but still an easy walk to downtown. Castle Rundegg is being operated by a team and their staff that highly impressed and making a hotel that will leave a lasting and pleasing impression.

    Everything was great. Some older furniture and items are remaining as the proprietors phase in upgrades, but everything was functional and comfortable.

    The room was a good size and had a big comfortable bed. Facilities of the hotel are great- the indoor pool is fantastic, plus they provide towels and robes. The gym/fitness centre is a little dated but is still really good and we made good use of it. Sonja at reception was so lovely, really friendly and helpful. Beautiful hotel and good breakfast.
