Overview

The Kimpton Journeyman is located in the center of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, less than two miles from Marquette University and only four miles from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This charming establishment is six miles from General Mitchell Airport and an 11-minute walk from the Milwaukee Intermodal Station for access to the rest of the city. This boutique hotel has 156 non-smoking guestrooms and suites.

This hotel offers rooms with a dose of Midwestern charm from hand-hewn desks of wood and cold-rolled steel, credenzas that resemble box cars, and carpet with a unique appearance. There are King Deluxe rooms, Queen Deluxe rooms, and King Spa rooms.

Every room comes with Frette linens, a walk-in shower or shower and bathtub combination, and luxury Atelier Bloem amenities. The rooms come with a flat-screen television, work desk, and ergonomic chair. Large windows offer great views of the area. The King Spa comes with an oversized soaking tub and extra space.

Tre Rivali is the restaurant at the Kimpton Journeyman which serves Mediterranean-inspired American modern cuisine and craft cocktails. There are five different areas including a dining room with a view off the wood-fired grill and oven, an inventive café, a bar and lounge, a private dining room, and a sidewalk patio on Broadway.

Every room comes with a yoga mat and Journeyman leather backpacks can be provided at the reception desk. There is an on-site fitness center which is fully equipped with cardiovascular machines and free weights. The hotel also offers pet-friendly rooms and overnight dry cleaning.

Pros (+) The staff was very friendly and tried to help the best they could
Cons (-) Our rooms were not ready at the check-in time. We had booked two rooms and we were able to get into one room an hour late and the other two hours late. At the price, It was unacceptable.
