Pros:Proximity to Montreal. It was a great and accessable neighbourhood.Very safe. good restaurants in area.
Cons:Stairs. Sauna didn't work, one exercise machine was down. That matters when you only have one of each.

Pros:Very pretty property, good location to downtown and metro, very good breakfast, very curtious and helpful staff, dog friendly ($17 CA per night fee). Parking is $27 CA per night which is a bit steep, but I found a much cheaper option about 0.2-0.3 miles away at indigo parking garage (1250 rue guy). For our stay from Thursday to Sunday ended up paying $27 CA for all three nights. I believe they charge 13.50 M-F and $6 per day over weekend. It's fully automated with no personnel but was safe.
Cons:Experience differs from what floor you stay on. We started on the 2nd floor and the room was crazy small and the ac wasn't working right. We tried to sleep through it the first night but couldn't deal with how hot it was. Went to the front desk and they moved us to the main floor which had much much bigger rooms and a fully functioning ac flow. Heard other people complaining about the dampness in the basement rooms and that all there stuff felt wet all the time. It's a old property and need some serious HVAC work for the summer months. Cleaning staff was talking a bit loud in the mornings which woke us up. Room have well insulated walls but thin doors.

Pros:The atmosphere is elegant and graceful, very like small Parisian hotels. Staff are friendly and helpful, always smiling, and will good knowledge of the neighbourhood. The breakfast service is efficient and the food, especially the pastries, is excellent. There's a comfortably unhurried feel about the whole hotel, so that it's a pleasure to return after a tiring day of touring. It was a perfectly delightful stay.
Cons:The many stairs at the entrance and to rooms on upper floors may be daunting to older or infirm guests. An elevator would be an asset, but it's hard to determine where it could go. The double rooms with a single double bed are small, though comfortable. The size of the bed is detailed in the room description, so visitors shouldn't complain.

Pros:Great location. Building has a huge potential, just needs some care. Breakfast is fair. Would be good if they had espresso. - Drip coffee is not my thing. :D
Cons:Thermostat didn't work in the room. Bathroom heater had to warm up the room. Bathroom: shower worked poorly (faucet of the bath/shower). Very ugly repair work in the bathroom with pipes visible. But what bothered me the most: when arriving at the hotel at 11:30pm I find a note at the reception desk "will be back in 5 min", but in fact waited between 20 min and half an hour until I was able to check in. I mean, really?

Pros:Chateau Versailles is in a good location, close to several museums, Mont Royal and withing walking distance of several boutiques and shops. It is near the upscale portion of town and not too far from the Vieux-Ville, close to the Metro. Clean, quiet and with a stately entry and an accommodating staff. Good selection of breakfast foods and beverages.
Cons:The decor of the rooms and common places is rather dated and could be upgraded. It hints 1980 decor linger but is clean and kept up, new carpet throughout would be advised.
