Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great access to the village and beach opposite.
Access into hotel - up steps and door opened outwards. Not a problem for someone who is fit but my husband has Parkinson's and carrying luggage in and out was difficult

It lies directly on the river Cher. The bedroom was fairly big and well-furnished with a flat-screen TV. Both the bedroom and the bathroom had big sliding windows.
The corridors and stairs are dismal and have obviously not been refurbished for at least 30 - 40 years. The bath was grubby with grey stains and the bathroom in need of redecoration. The only 3-star thing about the hotel is the price.
