We loved the morning breakfast.. a full hot breakfast and 24 hr coffee. The hotel and rooms very very clean with excellent service. We complimented staff throughout our stay. The Hampton Inn at Opryland was better than a lot of resorts I have stayed at. The cleaning staff are very good!
As we checked out, we gave a raving compliment on the hotel. To our surprize, the clerk would not even make eye contact, or say thank you; and she was not on the phone or computer. I felt bad, and wondered if we had done something to offend them. this is all I can think of... I was there with my 2 daughters and a friend; we were not loud or out of line. We were there through a tour co. for the CMA fest and didnt get our package delivered to the hotel right away? or maybe we needed to ask for it, and it was already there. so after a day out, I inquired about it 10 hrs later, (like 6pm) the young girl at the desk didn't know about the packages. She said she would find out right away and call me back asap if she found them. An hr later, no response, so I called the travel co., and that's when I found out the CMA pkg. had been dropped off at 10 am that day, but to be sure and call back if the tickets were not there for some reason. I went to the desk within a 1/2 hr. One young person was there sitting up on the desk. ( as kids will sit on counters) he did go to the back and came out with our package right away. all was well! I think sometimes it's the age of the workers, and not much experience with their jobs, so I did not think bad of the hotel at all! And it was my first time doing all this, so I was not experienced. all in all, we truly loved our stay there at the Hampton, it was a cut above, and want to go back.
