The room was very comfortable and peaceful.Breakfast was ideal and set us up for the day. Central tonTimes Square I would recommend this place to others
Delay in retrieving baggage at the end of the day and why does the Porter require a tip for bringing bags 20 yards.I could have collected myself.
- Location - Staff were very nice and cordial with outstanding customer service except for the 10/26/2019 night shift lady receptionist and manager.
It took four hours to check-in in one of the two rooms I reserved for my family, it was frustrating. It was embarrassing that my sister, brother in law and kids who are frequent travelers visiting from overseas had to wait 4 hours to check-in in their room. The 10/26/2019 night shift lady receptionist was rude and it took a while to see the manager (Justin) who was also being defensive at first when I raised my concern. I understand that guest can request late check out, but normally, the hotel does offer other option, however, they offer us a king bed room without sofa bed where should the kids sleep? I reserved 2 rooms for a 3 night stay with King size bed and a sofa bed to accommodate 7 guest ---common sense! To top it off, the 10/26/2019 lady night shift receptionist who was rude, gave me a room key that was not activated, when I went down to tell her the keys would not open the room, she said that I must have used my credit card to open the door which would affect opening the door....lady I am not stupid! My husband and I and my family are frequent travelers and knows how to use a key! I did not argue with her that night since I was tired but she need a customer service training as she was rude all night. I wonder if my white american husband was with me that day if she would have treated me the same way. Do not judge a book by its cover! If you would have known that I work for the government and certify/approve funds for our travellers, would you have treated me the same way?----just a thought! Yes the manager Justin gave me a $25 discount for the first and third day in one of the room but money can't change how I felt I was treated that day. My husband and I stayed at Hilton Niagara Falls Canada and customer service was outstanding but not here....I was disappointed. I was never treated like this in my 18 years of travel. To Hilton and Hampton management, I hope this will not happen again with your future guests.
Very well located. 24 hour coffee.
Sofa bed very uncomfortable
Never add a key for my room cause the system was not working. Always had to wait for someone to open my room. Felt really insecure because no one asked me my ID to go in my room so everybody could have say : it is my room and go in, since I had no key. I was supposed to have a discount for that but when I received my bill : nothing. Room : was ok but a refreshing would be necessary Breakfast: it was just noisy and such a mess. No chairs for everybody, plastic plates, food not so good. You would definitely more enjoy taking breakfast anywhere else
Great location, size of room, friendly staff.
Busy at breakfast time.
