Bed was very comfortable, great location, and the price was right!
Room was loud even on the 11th floor (mostly due to the exposed heading pipe running floor the ceiling that kept rattling and banging through the night. Our room didn't have air-conditioning and it got very stuffy at night; so we tried opening the widows which were very hard to open, and the locks were broken off, so once closed it wouldn't stay closed tight to seal out noise. The shades were small plastic blinds vertical blinds that did little to block light or noise.
Tiny, musty smell
It's very close to Times Square! But that is not really a plus since everything in New York is readily accessible via subway. Daily maid service was nice.
Smelled musty, no amenities, not enough outlets to charge electronics like cell phones and laptops. Also there were bedside lamps but they were not plugged in and when we looked there weren't any outlets!!! When I return to NY I will definitely stay elsewhere! Mildew noted in the bathroom. And the place really needs to be renovated.

Location was good. But, I expected more from a 2-star hotel and even at the price offered. The staff were not unfriendly, but seemed a bit perfunctory. Perhaps overworked.
Main complaint was that I was given a 2nd floor room on street side and there was construction outside the window till 3am the night I stayed. There was only a window air conditioner that worked well. However, it meant that there was not closing out the sounds from the street. Otherwise, the pillows were ok, but the bed was very hard relative to many other hotels I have been to. Second, the water in the shower had very low pressure, took a long time to get hot, and the diverter was whining the whole time. In comparison the sink had good pressure and heat. But, the plug wouldn't stay put making shaving with fill sink a problem. Lastly, there was a chair in the room, but no desk configuration other than for using the dresser as a makeshift desk.

When landing at Newark Liberty airport, simply hop on the Newark Airport Express and go all the way to Bryant Park, which will take about 50m. From there, the hotel is a 5m walk away. For a 45m ride from LaGuardia, get on Q70-SBS to Roosevelt Avenue and change for the F or M lines to 47-50 Streets Rockefeller Center Station.
