The front desk staff was not very friendly. Both of the the girls acted as though they were inconvenienced having you check is in, even though we were the only people checking in at the time.
Overall the room seemed a little "tired" and could have used some fresh paint and such. Beds were much too mushy for my liking. The barn door on the bathroom provided little privacy, and was extremely difficult to close. Bar staff was unable to make basic cocktails, including items on their own menu.
Convenient and affordable
Fairly priced. Clean rooms for the most part. Unique styling like a boutique hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful though did not bother asking how our stay was when we checked out. The on-site free shuttle was very convenient, drivers very friendly. Had a happy hour and late night cookies and milk which we missed but is a nice touch.
Rooms are very noisy - AC was rattling all night. I could hear everything going on in our neighbor's hotel room (moving hangars, flushing toilet). Windows were obviously cheap - did not keep sound from the street out whatsoever.
Everyone was super nice and helpful. The shuttle guy was super nice and accommodating.
My Experience at Magnolia
Comfortable beds - nice clean rooms - Staff very polite and helpful.
no frig in room better selection of channels on TV Little pricey More selection on menu
Formerly the Aquila Court Building, built by Chester Cook in 1923, The Magnolia Hotel in downtown Omaha, Nebraska resides near many of the area's finest attractions, including The historic Old Market, the Orpheum Theatre, Omaha Children's Museum, Holland Performing Arts Center, Joslyn Art Museum, and the Century Link Omaha. Named to the National Register of Historic places in 1974, Magnolia Hotel, Omaha is also located near all major corporate headquarters and offices in downtown. Based on the Bargello, a palace in Florence, Italy, the corporate lodging hotel was built in homage to Chester's father Aquila. The faces of George and Aquila Cook can still be seen on the front of the boutique hotel's building today.
