The Maumee Bay Lodge and Conference Center is a scenic Ohio lodge situated on the Maumee Bay right near the Maumee River. Located just minutes outside of the Glass City of Toledo, Ohio, this lodge is situated on sprawling grounds with waterfront and marina access. Golfing, nature walks, bird watching, and other outdoor activities are plentiful here. The lodge is built on the property of Maumee Bay State Park and offers a number of lodge rooms and private cabin rentals, including pet-friendly cabins.

The Maumee Bay Lodge and Conference Center offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces for meetings, weddings, spiritual retreats, and other events and occasions. There is 7,000 square feet of space available in 8 various rooms, offering beautiful views of Lake Erie and the Bay. The Grand Ballroom offers 5,000 square feet of space for indoor events, while the outdoor amphitheater is available for up to 2,000 guests and can be transformed for a variety of events, concerts, and more. Catering and planning services are available from the lodge staff.

The non-smoking lodge guest rooms include free WiFi, flat-screen TVs, coffee makers, mini refrigerators, and various views of the grounds and the water. Upgraded rooms are available with additional amenities or added sleeping space. Cabins are available in 2 and 4-bedroom styles, fully furnished and are also non-smoking accommodations. Pros:I have been going to Maumee Bay since I was a child. It was my boyfriends birthday (who isn't from here) so I wanted to take him somewhere special to me. There was only 9 people renting in the hotel that night so we got to have a BEAUTIFUL dinner alone in the best seats in the restaurant. We watched the sunset and white tail deer run around right outside the giant gorgeous windows. Our food was incredible and our waitress was attentive and lovely the whole time. The whole hotel was romantic and quiet and the view of the lakes was absolutely stunning. We used to rent the cabins (which are AMAZING) when I was a kid, but the rooms in the hotel are also very lovely!! They even let me come super early in the morning to check in and decorate the room. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and locker room are all super clean and with such an awesome view with the giant windows! You really feel like you're in a beach resort. There was a few kids in the pool with us in the evening, but they appeared to be having a super fun time and having our own child we thought it was adorable. Afterward, we stopped by the giant fireplace with the rustic rocking chairs in front of it and warmed up a bit before heading back to our room. Everyone in this hotel feels like "home". Everyone is so accommodating and professional. The view, the ammenities, the people... whether you're alone, a couple, or with family, you DEFINITELY should stay at Maumee Bay if you're visiting beautiful Ohio.
Cons:In the restaurant the carpet appeared to need to be cleaned a bit. There was some food and stains which I didn't like. Our toilet paper in our room needed to be changed. There was maybe 3 sheets in it but it was still triangle folded like a full roll. Our sink in our room had a really bad leak. My feet and the carpet ended up soaked while I brushed my teeth because the water was streaming from the pipe.

10.0 Wonderful
Pros:Maumee is a vacation in itself, with countless to do activities right on site. We stayed for 3 days, before my girlfiend deployed overseas for a year with the 323 MP Company out of Toledo. We could not ask for a better place to spend this valuable time together. On the final night, we had family joining us and we asked if management would put them in the room next to ours. When I expllained the story they upgraded to a deluxe king and had our family next store for free to thank her for her service!!
