Good 7.0
Pros: Location Air con Staff
Cons: Shower wet bathroom floor
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location away from town. Just birdsong and crickets.
Good 7.0
Pros: We enjoyed the quiet and relaxing ambience. The breakfast menu was wide and everyone enjoyed the variety and lovely presentation.
Cons: We had 8 rooms. Unfortunately, 2 rooms had faulty locks but the problem was quickly rectified by the management the following day.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good breakfast, good location (closed to city center, but quiet). A very friendly and careful stuff. Clean rooms.
Cons: Bathroom door was very strange. And towels needed replaced for better ones.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The location was closed to the walking street, the stuff was willing to help and answer questions.
Good 6.0
Pros: It was clean and the staff where very helpful and friendly
Cons: The rain shower head was blocked and was not very good ended up having to use the handheld shower after I tried cleaning the scale unsuccessfully. Poor selection of Tv channels, no restaurant you have to go out to eat of an evening for a 3750 baht a night that included breakfast I have certainly stayed in better for the money
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The property was like a little oasis. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Excellent 8.3
Pros: Bath tub and comfy bed
Cons: No swimming pool
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The place is so cozy and peaceful. Staff is super nice and friendly.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The bath tub in the garden is an absolute amazing time to relax and so romantic.
Cons: No complaints everything was great!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything fantastic
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing service, luxurious villa. Complimentary transport to town.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: What is there to say other than basking in exquisite luxury. Definitely a must for those looking for a peaceful romantic getaway. Our room was a stand-alone cottage with a vaguely Swiss Chalet type of architecture. The bed area was raised, with toilet area off to one side, a step lower, and the "living" area 2 steps lower. The overall effect, although only one room, was of having 3 separate spacious rooms. The living area had a comfortable sofa and a desk off to the side, which was excellent as I was able to use my laptop to catch up on some writing. The TV was of good size but the reception was bad. This was more than compensated, however, by a catalog of DVDs: more than 300 titles, including many which were "family friendly". All you had to do was to write down up to 3 reference numbers, call the front desk, and they were delivered right to your door. Breakfast was on a pre-order basis. We were presented with a checklist that included 4 categories: beverage (coffee/tea + juice), main meal (omelette, bacon and eggs, waffle, rice soup, and a couple of other Thai dishes), toast (white or wheat), and follow-on (yogurt or fresh fruit). The staff also gladly gave me an extra cup of coffee if I asked, all included in the price. The hotel provided a free shuttle to the downtown Pai area which was nice as during the evening, when the night market is in full swing (don't miss it!), it gets very crowded. They even provided a "bubble bath service" (!). All you have to do is to call the front desk, up until 8:30 PM, and a staff member would prepare the outdoors bubble bath for you, water temperature to your specification, with aromatic bath oils. They also lined the bath with candles providing an outrageously romantic setting. The staff were all super friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Cons: My wife complained that the Thai breakfast offerings were "not spicy enough" which led me to the conclusion that hotel is more oriented towards foreign guests rather than Thai. My other beef, and I'm sure this is petty, but for the price it seems that the hotel should have provided a swimming pool. Also, of course, the hotel is a bit pricey given the competition in the area.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Absoulely memorable experience in Pai. The service from the crew was exellent, very considerate in all area. Room was a bit smaller than we expected but very clean, ant and small gecko (if dont mind) were reminding us that we are living in a natuarl enviorment. Meals provided in hotel were great, full of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner were also very nice so that we had several times during our 3 nights stay.
Cons: nothing

Excellent 9.0
Pros: - Beautiful bamboo bungalows with a quite large terrace in front - the bungalow itself was very small (could barely put down to backpacks). Cozy bed. - Located on the "other", quieter side of Pai - cross the river by small bamboo bridge - Clean bathrooms/toilets
Cons: - No mosquito net provided (probably weren't too many mosquitoes anyways as the haze/smoke-situation was out of hand - very thick smog/haze at the time of our stay - don't go there during forest burning season!)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The place, near to the center without noises. Bungalows and places was cute.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Beautiful sunrise in the hut. Great location close to the town center.
Cons: Ant road in the bathroom, but that's not that bad.
Good 7.0
Pros: The place is cozy but too many bugs in the bathroom. Garden is beautiful.
Cons: Bugs. shower system.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: its in quiet area and not too far from the center.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The hut was so cute, had own little bathroom. Although no air con, you do not need this at night as it gets chilly. The nice thick duvet is needed and very cosy. Location great, just a short walk into town. Breakfast was fruit and toast, so good for what you pay. All in all, lovely place to stay in Pai.
Cons: There are a few mosquitoes in the rooms, as it is a hut they can get in very easily. However, there is a mosquito net for this.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: EveryThing! Great location, clean, nice property

Pros: The hotel was one of the most cleanest we saw around our trip in Thailand, so we felt really comfortable the moment we entered. All day/night long you can have free water, coffee and tea plus toast and bananas on a table thats inside the urbanization. The situation of the guesthouse was just perfect, cause it is really close to the walking street/night market, but anyway really quiet at night time, so you will find a good rest. The family whih owned the guesthouse are super friendly and helpful!!!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: It is close to the walking street but still quiet at night, which is good for a alone Traveller. The room was clean. The owner are really nice. They also let me print some documents.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great place to stay. Close to everything and very helpful staff
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location with friendly staff and clean nice room.
Cons: Bed was a little hard
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Brilliant location just off of the main strip, quiet and there rooms were decent! If you get an air conditioned room you get a balcony with a nice view of the hills. If you get a fan room, it’s a cosy spot around the back!
Cons: Beds were a bit hard, bathroom was a wet room.
Good 7.0
Pros: Friendly staff. Only stayed 1 night, so can’t comment allot
Good 6.0
Pros: Convenient to center / friendly hosts.
Cons: Price primarily based on Pai location and not value for money. Can find a better deal in Bangkok for same price.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The place was very clean. Location is perfect - 5-10 minutes walk to Pai night market with loooooot of great food
Excellent 9.2
Pros: It was a really short distance (5minute walk) from the bus station to the hostel, they had plug sockets and had a nice little cafe at the front! We loved our balcony to see the beautiful views!
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t particularly like about the hotel.

Pros: The staff are really friendly and helpfull. They'll bring you to the walking street if you want. Next to the hotel is a yoga place in case you're interested in yoga.
Cons: There were ants everywhere in the room. Also the matress of the bed felt like sleeping on the floor, not nice.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The 2 rooms apartment was good for our Family of 5. The staff were friendly and tried to understand our requests and needs.
Cons: Breakfast. And a bit far from the center, there tuk-tuk service is comfortable but only to the beginning of the Main Street.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Loved the decorations of the rooms in this colourful fun hotel. Very comfy beds and powerful shower. Nice areas to chill in the gardens. The hotel is a little out of the main town but they arrange a free drop off and pick when pretty much whenever you want before 10 which was very useful! Staff were also lovely!
Cons: Would be good if the hotel sold beer and other drinks/snacks but other than that nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice decor, nice surrounding scenery. Quiet at night
Cons: It's outside the town of Pai so if you want to party in town this isn't the place for you. They'll take you into town and back until 10 pm though.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing!!!! We had such a great time!! The resort is beautiful in the middle of rice fields, and yet close enough to the town center, so you can either walk 15min, or take their transit which is free, works all day and you can ask for it when ever you want (until 22pm). Also The room was comfortable, clean and well decorated, the water were hot. There was also a nice pool, and a nice sitting area with hammocks. The whole resort was well maintained. Also the yoga class was really good!! And the owners were so nice and helpfull!
Cons: Nothing!!

Pros: Everything was perfect. We had a lot of space in our room and the owner was so friendly!! It was about a 10 minutes walk to the city center or just 2 minutes if you rent a motorbike in town.
Cons: There have been some ants in the bathroom and little geckos in the room but I guess thats normal in Pai, so no big deal.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The place was beautiful and calm
Cons: The location was 10 minutes walking from the center but during the night Can be dark
Good 6.7
Pros: -Perfect location away of the crazy town but on the same road from the night market -Good breakfast with eggs+toast+jam+fruit(banana and watermelon) between 7-10am -The owner is very nice -Fridge but had to turned it off at night because was too noisy...too old?? And also had to take our water out or you will get bottle of ice!
Cons: -Dogs barking all day long... -Morning training next door(muay thai) so it must be wake you up if you are a light sleeper(around 7am) -The room is quite spacious but beds are uncomfortable and we were bit disappointed as on the pictures it looks much better than in real...a lot of stains on the walls and ceiling, bathroom is dark and not clean with stains, just concrete wall... -Pai is really cold at night and in the morning so we were freezing cold, the quilt is not enough to warm you up! -Don’t go for A/C as mentioned below and save some money -Not good quality price, the room and bathroom are not really nice for 15£/night...
Excellent 9.2
Pros: It’s perfect to chill out, and stay a bit outside the crazy center. But only 10 minutes walking to the center, so it’s perfect!
Cons: Nothing.
Good 7.0
Pros: The place was v laid back. I was v well looked after, like being given breafast at 6am when I had to leave early
Cons: It was out of town, about a 10 minute walk away.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: You feel in the middle of the nature, the room is small and simple.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The owner was so friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast made every morning. Perfect location about 10 minute walk from main town. Spacious comfortable rooms, would stay again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: clean room , good location , perfect host and stuff
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Nice staff. Good portion English breakfast. Peaceful atmosphere.
Cons: The shower is not stable, sometimes it's hot and sometimes it's cold. The floor is not so clean. There are some molds due to humidity in the room.

Pros: Very nice place beside the Pai river. Despite 1 min from walking street is it a very quite location. Very nice people especially for the children. Tasty breakfast. Family with baby Julie and 4 year old girl Marie
Cons: The room and shower were very cold. During the night it gets very cold in Pai during December.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Beautiful spot by the river and nice and quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Cons: The toilet smelled of sulfur and my friends and I stayed in a triple and the extra bed was hard as a rock.
Okay 5.4
Pros: Location was good, next to river and close to Main Street.
Cons: Bathroom was terrible, water barely warm with low pressure, breakfast very average, amenities average. I stayed at a private room in another hostel before at one third the price and honestly that was way better in every aspect.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Very peaceful hotel next to the river yet only a 2 minute walk to the centre of town Nice pool
Cons: Disappointed that there wasn’t a fridge
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly. Clean and comfortable. Nice location. Good food.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Great location Very friendly
Cons: Not always warm water
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Location, friendly staff , cleanliness and amazing breakfast
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location was excellent - in easy walking distance from the bus station and to the night market. Excellent breakfasts made to order and of a generous size with a lovely view of the river and bamboo bridge. Staff where very friendly. Cocktails where reasonably priced and generous in size compared to others in the area. Pai was very cold at night when I was there in mid-January and the staff made sure I knew where the extra blankets and heater was in my room so I'd be prepared. Pool looked lovely but I hadn't brought a costume to swim. They had towels and floaties for guests to use.
Cons: The showers didn't have hot water - small geyser providing on the cold side of luke warm even on highest gauge and no pressure at all. Having a cold shower in the morning when it's 8 degrees is not a great start to the day. I'm sure, on a hot day, it wouldn't have been such an issue.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Loved everything. No complaints at all.
Cons: Leaving ☹️☹️

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Friendly staff. Good English.
Cons: Bright light shining in my room with hardly any curtain. This is easily fixed.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Great value for money. The staff are so kind, we got free lifts into the city ( which is only down the road but not walking distance) breakfast was lovely. Would recommend if your looking for a couple of days!
Good 7.0
Pros: Simple breakfast. Eggs, sausages n toast. It was ok. Coffee and tea were at the bar self service. Owner were there to cook and take our order. They only served breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom have to be a few steps down from the room. Not same level n size of room were rather average with no place for baggage n clothes. No closets or place to hang clothes. At 4am we were waken up by the hens which were very loud. NO airconditioning but a fan.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Friendly staff, reasonable price and close to town.
Excellent 9.1
Pros: Staff was very helpful. They own a couple of hotel cars and were able to pick us up when we got lost and give us rides if we asked. Very friendly.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Neat and nice environment; super friendly staff. Very near to walking street; besides fetching to and from bus station, they can even send you to and from walking Street for free.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The best thing is the service! Definitely the best one we received in a month of visiting Thailand. They can give you free transportation from and to the bus station and also to the center whenever you like. Free breakfast every morning, eggs, toast, coffee etc. We did a motorbike rent for three days for 150 baht p/d. Pai is in January/February quite cold in the night we chose this one because it's not a wooden shed. Concrete walls keep the warmth inside and as by talking to other tourists our "resort" was one of the warmest in town. The only slight negative point is the location but it's quiet and relaxing. As I said before the service is definitely worth it. We would go back!
Cons: Location is a bit out center BUT free shuttle bus and only a 15 minute walk otherwise.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The guy who ran this place was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Good 6.0
Pros: Good value, and the garden setting was surprisingly attractive and tranquil.
Cons: Bathroom/commode was down two stairs. This is tricky in the dark at night. Walls were a little thin.

Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The location is fantastic and almost certainly the main reason why this place gets quite a few high ratings, especially from first-time visitors to Pai who know no better. Right next to the river, walking street and main drag of bars.
Cons: My partner and I live in Chiang Mai and have stayed here before, in October 2018, and thought it was average and over-priced then, but as there was a festival on in Pai during our recent visit, and we like to be central, we decided to risk an 'upgrade' to one of the older cottages this time. At £74 per night it wasn't cheap, and we immediately regretted it. There were three people - not guests - lying directly under our balcony and I had to go and ask for them to be moved on. The manager - a British man in his 60s, I would guess - weakly apologised to them and invited them to sit near the pool, despite the fact they weren't guests. It's a very small pool and we decided to give a refreshing post-car-journey dip a miss. The balcony was dirty and the lounger had hair and what looked like bodily fluids on it (see review by Flowerchaser, 14th August 2019). We had to ask for it to be cleaned. When I showered in the evening the water turned ice cold after 3 or 4 minutes... very uncomfortable (see review by Gil, 8th October 2019). There was no shampoo, conditioner or shower gel - not what you expect for £74 per night in Thailand. The Wifi wasn't working when we arrived and although it was briefly fixed it hardly worked during our whole two night stay (see reviews by Melissa on 22nd January 2020 and Toranis on 5th November 2019). In response to the latter complaint about no Wifi connection, the manager wrote: "Just a case of bad timing. The more technically qualified staff have holidays too. Your visit coincided with their annual leave." A pathetic response indicative of his cocky, weak and ineffective management style. I have stayed at another hotel very close to Rim Pai Cottage twice and had no wifi problems at all. Recent reviews on booking.
Good 7.0
Pros: Good breakfast and location was great!
Cons: The beds were a bit hard to sleep on
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Really convenient location to walk the night market. Beautiful view of the river! Nice pool!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful rooms in secluded cottages next to Pai river. Lovely, spacious grounds, with lush tropical foliage. Staff went out of their way to be cordial and helpful. Plenty of on-site parking. Night market right outside the property. The positives well-outweigh the negatives.
Cons: Close proximity to loud night market and morning loud speakers from nearby temple. Food is good, but geared to foreign, not local tastes (a negative if looking for authentic Northern Thai flavors).
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location at the bottom of walking street. Lovely balconies to sit out on in the River front rooms.
Cons: River front rooms have a fabulous view and brilliant location at the bottom of walking street. Breakfast could be improved for the price but adequate. Lovely swimming pool and gardens.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great space with wonderful staff! Location was right in the main area of the city, walkable to almost everything and the pool view of the river is awesome! They have off street parking for cars and scooters as well.

Pros: The owner was very friendly and helpful. Our stay hrre was perfect. Beautiful location on the river, nice and quiet. Very close to bars and restaurants.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: near street food, good location where u can hear natural sound.
Cons: bit noisy at night as near walking road
Good 7.0
Pros: Very good location.by the river . Quiet and very close to the main street .
Cons: The hut was a bit hidden begind the trees that were in front so we did not have that much daylight and was a bit dark and cold in a night . Water in a shower was cold . Poor breakfast
Okay 4.0
Pros: Small room maintained at minimum cost. Bathroom basic, water dripping out of the shower - no pressure. Damaged shower cabin filled with the curtain.
Cons: Staff very friendly and helpful. Location quiet.
Good 7.0
Pros: Great host! Very helpful and cooked a great breakfast
Cons: Wifi was slow
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Owner Tim was so warm & welcoming. The location it's virtually 5 min walk to Walking St & has a lovely balcony overlooking the river. Surrounded by beautiful lush gardens. Very clean.
Cons: Beds a bit too hard.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Ms.Tim and her husband are so kind and go out of their way to make all of their guests happy and comfortable. The location gets a 10+. Only a few feet from the bamboo bridge that feeds directly into the Main Street which is also the night market street. The rooms are detached chalet type buildings. The rooms are very spacious. The fact that they are detached insures privacy and being on the other side of the bridge you are away from the noise of the night market and the main street. The balcony where breakfast is served is at the edge of the rambling river with beautiful views. The balconies are open for guests to enjoy throughout the day. I visit Thailand every year. This is a place in which I will return every year. Thank you Ms. Tim for being the highlight of my trip!
Cons: The view from my room wasn’t a direct view of the river as I expected but was very very happy with the room.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The hospitality was excellent. The owners are very sweet.

Pros: The location is perfect, bars & restaurants nearby and the main ‘walking street’ is a 5-10 min stroll. Grocery shop is also nearby. The pool is a good size and the pool area was well kept and clean. The staff were friendly. The bed was comfy. Basic/rustic hotel which is value for money.
Cons: The doors to the rooms are very thin and have gaps in them, they do not feel secure, even though there is a chain to use as well. The rooms are dated and could do with decorating.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location and the pool, most places in Pai don't have a pool.
Cons: Great place with a pool and good breakfast. Easy walking distance to walking Street.
Poor 1.0
Pros: The breakfast was nice.
Cons: Some kind of bed bug in the sheets! I retired late the first evening and pulled back the sheets only to reveal a lot of tiny black specks. I watched closely and then one of the black specks started to crawl. Because there is not a 24 hour front desk I had to ring the bell in the office many times to no avail. Finally I knocked on the door and the manager came looking somewhat annoyed and I showed him the sheets after which he gave me a new room. The sheets are also yellow and dingy. However there is a notice in the room (see attached photo) that says: 'In Case Linen is Dirty To Be Discretion of Housekeeping Department' perhaps they should check their own work. Also beware of potential charges listed in the notice i.e. Water Heater 9500, Flush Toilet 5000, Box of Toilet Paper 350, just say'in.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Absolutely fantastic stay and wonderful people. Large rooms, comfortable beds and hot showers. Wonderful buffet breakfast with à la carte egg options. Perfect location, walking distance to everything. Would stay again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wonderful staff/owners, always a smile and super friendly. The rooms were spotless, spacious and quiet. Large bathroom with plenty of hot water. A lovely pool with great lounge chairs. Wonderful buffet breakfast with à la carte egg options. A quick walk to the night market and great restaurants close by. Lots of shops and tour options also close by. Pai is a wonderful town and Medio de Pai made our stay perfect. Thank you very much to all the wonderful people at Medio.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great location, easily walkable to food street. Nice pool area and breakfast options. Large room.
Cons: Everything was great! However, not many other backpackers staying during our time there.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Hotel close to city centre, but very calm. Great staff!
Cons: Power sockets were loose
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The walking street close.
Cons: We liked this hotel very much. The pool, the room, the breakfast...Recommend.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Grounds staff member went out of his way to help when my child was sick. He even went looking for medicine and ice packs in the middle of the night.
Cons: Family room was a bit expensive given there is a lot of cheap accommodation in Pai.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good bungalow setup, friendly staff, nice pool, relaxed feeling
Excellent 9.6
Pros: This is a lovely place to stay. The people are super nice, the location is excellent and in the middle of the town. We had a great time exploring the surroundings with the help of the people of the hotel. Just really great.
Cons: The swimmingpool is very cold, this time of year at least. Might be because of the temperatures at night. Bring a sweater and be prepared for a cold dip in the pool.
Good 7.0
Cons: bed was hard
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location, great staff, clean rooms, tea and coffee in room refrigerated, would stay again
Cons: Nothing we loved it
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Friendly staff, amazing room and was very clean. Breakfast was okay. Would have stayed longer but slightly over our budget
Cons: Pool was a bit dirty on our first day, 2nd day it was cleaned though! Daily cleaning would be better to get all the leaves out. Had a noisy german neigbout talking on his deck till gone 11pm but that's his fault for not following the no noise after 10pm rule!
