Pros: Very beautiful location. Two wonderful beaches .
Cons: Restaurants don’t have great food, it was very pity. Sushi and sashimi awful! Hostess at breakfast restaurant not very kind person. Construction during whole day at beach location, just behind VIP beds on the beach.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Service was excellent! All staff was nice and attentive. I loved the cart service. You could request a golf cart at any time to take you anywhere along the property. This is nice because the property is big. Definitely a place to come relax with your significant other but also a great place to come with your family.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nature wise it is absolutely beautiful. Two private beaches, nice beach clubs, good restaurants
Cons: The rooms are a bit old fashioned The “slow river” was very crowded
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: View from the restaurant is really nice
Cons: Crowded and average quality. Bouffet cost 35 USD per person and yet they charged us extra for the coffee (black coffee in a thermos). Service very slow
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Property is beautiful. Adult pool is great.
Cons: Room view was not what was posted on the website. Rooms are beautiful but was disappointed in the view. Spoke to front desk and said they would move us but room looked basically the same...maybe a little better view but still not what was featured and not worth me packing up our room and moving.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful. Everyone is very kind.
Cons: Wish they had an all inclusive option. I don't like to worry about prices and tips while I'm on vacation.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We celebrated our first wedding anniversary here and also my wife’s birthday, one great turn deserves another. Before retiring, both my parents worked for Starwood, The Four Seasons, and The Ritz Carlton. Despite being accustomed to such opulencencenthe level of service here has surpassed all expectation. We finally found a place that makes us feel like home. From the moment Fernanda remembered us to the butler service via Guillermo, to the F&B director, (Nicolas) remembering my wife’s dietary restrictions. It was a dream that will now become an annual tradition. Bravo!
Cons: We only wish we could stay longer with our new family!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Christian one of the butlers, and Cesar at the adults pool were the absolute best!!!! Exceptional service!
8.8 Excellent
Cons: They could have cleaned up the beach from day before. I walked beach early every morning and it smelled like a frat house. they came to clean it at 830 AM but until then it was great.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The personal service, the beach, the views, privacy.
Cons: Food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding service. From the personal butlers to the poolside waiters everyone we dealt with was extremely helpful and polite and willing to meet our every need. My fiancé asked the poolside attendant for a paper clip to reset his mobile music player. Antonio managed to find one within minutes and helped fix it! Texting the butlers when we wanted our complimentary coffee delivered and room service was a delight.
Iberostar Selection Playa Mita - Punta de Mita - Building

Pros: Entertainment crew, inclusive aspect...great food
Cons: The king bed in 1321 was horrible...very soft and lumpy. The slider to the outside does not work
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Iberostar view of the ocean so beautiful, we had the most huge waves, like 10 to 15 feet which was so picturesque!! The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. All of your food and alcohol is all inclusive. Food was pretty good, I enjoyed the paella, it was yummy! So many free activities, like the Yoga by the pool, water aerobics, salsa dance lessons, darts and ping pong. Kayaking was free too. Enjoyed the Las Vegas type of show, which was free too. Lush gardens and such a beautiful hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here and would go back to Iberostar Playa Mita
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was so clean. Housekeeping did a very thorough job. Bars everywhere and restaurants give many options. Food was delicious!
Cons: I couldn't get a reservation at Tsuba... now I know to do it ahead of time.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really amazing - so friendly, went above and beyond. The property was very pretty, amenities good. We had a very nice time as a group. I actually really like too that they don't allow people to 'save chairs' by the pool before 9am I think this helped with finding a place in a group and you don't have to try and beat others to a chair, you can just relax. There was a wide variety of food options and activities/entertainment.
Cons: I would prefer more clear labeling of food. I could see they tried to label things but it wasn't always consistent or sometimes it would label it when the ingredient existed in it, versus other times would label it as not having that ingredient. Some things had no labels so it wasn't always clear. I did feel unwell a few days because of that, but that is partially to be expected when going to a resort when you have food intolerance. The rooms booked were also a little strange. We booked and paid for Ocean view, which we did have but a friend in our party booked and paid for Standard and ended up facing the ocean, full view (ours was to the side and only partial). I would have not even questioned whether ours was Ocean view and worth the additional money but now I just think we paid more and yet a Standard view room had a better one....confusing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay was amazing. We will surelly come back!!
Cons: I liked everything!
7.5 Good
Pros: This hotel is family friendly and very clean. I Loved taking my child to all the shows. The food is excellent!! I had a great time..
Cons: When I checked in there was a mistake with my reservation that made me very upset. I had booked 3 adults and 1 child and I had proof of what I had been quoted $907.32. Some one at the hotel or booking.com made a mistake and only put 2 adults 1 child. At this point I was so confused. The hotel wanted to charge me the extra person that rhey mistakenly did not add to the reservation. Now, I'm on the phone with an agent from booking.com he's telling me to go to a Walmart and purchase a hotels.com card so that I can get the refund. I was furious already because my family was already checked in and were waiting on me. I'm in Mexico I have no Idea where a Walmart was located I had my 8 year old daughter wirh me I was not about to run around Mexico looking for a Walmart. I hung up on the agen before having a panic attack. At the end apparently they had fixed the issue and i was only going to pay for the rate they gave me when I booked my stay. When I arrived to Los Angeles and checked my card statement I see an extra charge of $302.46 I called the hotel they asked me to send a copy of my card statement and reservation trough booking the reservation clearly stated 3 adults 1 child. Iberostar is willing to fix the issue but that does not take away how upset I was at the time and how this situation put a damper on my vacation. I don't travel much but when I do I always book trough booking.com because I have never had an issue, I might never use booking.com again for my travels.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Shows, beach, good food
Cons: Spa massage could be better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything but the costumer service is excellent !!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We were in a large party for a wedding. The buffets were so generous in what they offered that EVERYONE liked the food and was able to satisfy dietary needs and /or restrictions; that went for the vegans, the vegetarians, gluten free, lactose free, the paleo folks, the low carb/high fat, and those who were just looking for delicious food. Personally, I loved that there was such an array of fresh produce at every meal. the second thing that made this place earn my highest rating is that the staff was excellent. Tremendously friendly and helpful in every way. We loved our housekeeper, who, in addition to keeping our room spotless, added special touches every day. The activities were excellent. Two standouts on the staff were Marco and Marcelo, who recognized us and greeted us by name every time they saw us. How did they that? Remarkable. We especially had a strong connection with Marco that made our time there feel more special. We didn’t feel like we were just faces in a crowd. Marco sought us out and made sure to let us know what events were coming up, in case we missed it on the app and the display near the lobby. He has a great personality as well as being a great dancer! the activities staff is full of folks are so multitalented as well as hard-working, leading classes and also performing at night. Really appreciated the effort and spirit they p[ut into their work. At the Merengue/Salsa class one of the days we were there, the”Star Band” played live! Offering live music at the class goes beyond what I would have dreamed of and was tremendous fun. Very cool band who also performed at night. Much better than musicians than I would have any reason to expect to find at this location. All the classes were worth going to. We stayed at another resort last year in Nueva Vallarta with family. Even though the Iberostar-Playa Mita is much smaller, I think the entertainment was better quality and the classes were better.
Cons: I’d have liked to stay a few more days!!
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff were very friendly All inclusive food and drinks great value Lots of choice to eat, restaurants, cafe
Cons: Room was musty. The Extras were very expensive, even more than you’d pay at home e.g wash and blow dry $80!! We had a large party and 3 people slipped and fell on different occasions because of wet or uneven floors. The first aid cost approx €150 each for a bandage and pain killers. A hospital visit can be up to $10,000 but must be paid in cash. The special Restaurants were all booked out early, but when you went there they seemed quiet.
7.5 Good
Cons: Food was average

Pros: The location was great, the staff was very friendly, and the rooms were top notch, very clean and comfortable, I definitely will be back, Carlos the property manager was very helpful, guided us to the local tours, made sure we got what we needed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, very clean and spacious room.
Cons: A bit noisy from the birds that like to roost in the trees on the street.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The whole apartment was very spacious and clean. It is a really good option for a family or friend trip. I would highly recommend the place
Cons: The shower has no hot water but overall no pressure which makes it hard to remove the sand or wash your hair
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful. The place was chic, great layout, very very clean. I absolutely loved the rooftop terrace, amazing view. A short walk to the beautiful beach with soft sand, a few small pebbles so it’s best to bring river or water shoes. Great value
6.8 Good
Pros: Very nice layout
Cons: That there was no pool and its included in the facility info very confusing because i have kids
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly, helpful and spoke English well. Location was great (once I found it). The room was clean and very comfortable. Roof top lounge was amazing. The price was very fair.
Cons: There were roosters directly beneath my bedroom window. It didn't bother me much, but would not be ideal for a light sleeper.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very beautiful inside but the location is not that great
Cons: I didn’t like the location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: My wife, my baby, my parents and I stayed at the hostel. We were very impressed by the suite assigned to us it was an apartment with two bedrooms kitchenette and living room with tv. A cousin of mine stayed with us the first night and he slept on the sofa cama. We arrived late, and I had to call the front desk to let them know that my cousin was going to pick up the keys before they closed the office. We felt like home all the time. On our first morning, we ordered breakfast from the restaurant of the hostel and we ate it all together on the terrace which has an amazing view of Punta de Mita and the beach. The first night, we put the baby to sleep and we had drinks on the terrace which was alone for us. The service was always attentive, helpful and kind. The hostel is 10 mins walking distance from the beach and beach amenities. We liked to walk by the town while getting to the beach. It is a truly Mexican town (I'm Mexican I can tell you) Punta Mita is not a Pueblo Magico or a town with a personality like San Pancho (30 min away). The hostel is located outside of the fanciest part of Punta Mita, which we didn't visit because is inside a gated community. So the part of the town we visited had dusty streets, gentle street dogs, and local people walking by. I liked how noisy it was in the mornings by the singing of thousands of birds, it was a beautiful way to wake up. It reminded me of the town where my grandparents live in Veracruz. The people in Punta Mita were nice and welcoming. We loved going to the street markets to get food or quesadillas for breakfast and have nice dinners (some times fancy ones) by the beach at the different restaurants.
Cons: I wish they could have offered us a crib for our baby boy but they don't have one. We had to travel with ours which was very uncomfortable. I also found the bed and the pillows hard. I wish the WC door could lock from inside.

Pros: The staff, the design...
Cons: too loud the music on Sat at the pool!!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property and extremely friendly and attentive staff. Beach is one of the nicest in Punta Mita.
Cons: Beds are too small for 2 people and pricing is very high for the room size.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: loved the decoration.
Cons: 40 usd to rent a a paddleboard for an hour is a rip-off, but everything else smooth
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property! Great staff!
Cons: Need another trash can with liner by bar, liquid coffee creamer and liner in bathroom trash can. The front desk did not have change for Peseos for small bills. And the 3 rd restaurant should be available everyday of week!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and professional staff. Miguel, Pedro and Pepe were especially good running the surfboard rentals. The staff was very attentive to all the guests. We had a short time when some of the power went out but the staff handled it quickly and professionally. Great food too.
Cons: Like many other hotel resorts, the music is played too loud around the pool. It should be obvious about how the majority of people lounging around the pool could just as easily wear their ear phones and listen to the music they desire or simply enjoy the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. But it appears the Vegas pool party scene has established the vibe of choice for many hoteliers regardless of the demographics of their guests. Having a DJ at the pool makes sense when every single person is in the pool getting drunk and gladly screaming at each other over the monotonous pounding of the base line. But not at a pool area where you have families playing in the pool with small children or couples quietly enjoying their book. In four days as a guest I witnessed only 2 women who were drinking in the pool and paying attention to the music and the DJ. They definitely seemed out of place. I don’t know how this phenomena became so widespread. It’s counterproductive in this beautiful setting. Maybe there’s a study that found that cranking loud mind numbing bass heavy music at poolside sells more cocktails. I can see no there reason except the earlier Vegas style setting. That said, we loved staying at the W and would love to return one day.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location and beautiful property. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food. We stayed with small children and felt very welcome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel, staff, service, food, amazing rooms, the pool and the beach are stunning - perfect music and art set the vibe immediately - hands down favorite hotel and vacation of my life
Cons: Hard to say - the place was amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the resort! The beach front was beautiful and all facilities, including spa, pool, jacuzzi, restaurants and bars were lovely and spotless. We even saw whales in the distance at the private beach. The Jungle room was large and has a large, deep tub overlooking the "jungle" and my friend's ocean view room was lovely as well, but not as big. They provided unlimited free bottled water and staff is very friendly and helpful. The decor is super fun and I wanted to buy everything at the W shop!! I also attended a wedding at the resort and they did a wonderful job with the party planning and even the make up and hair provided at the spa was great!
Cons: The only gripe I have is that the resort is far from any town so you're pretty much stuck at the mercy of the restaurants and bars at the resort unless you pay for transportation costs, which are pricey if you order from the resort (but again the only option is to order from the W because it's so remote there are no taxis to be found). Of course the food and beverages at the W is not cheap, especially when compared to food you can get in Mexico, but not crazy either when compared to NYC. The buffet breakfast is pricey at about $40 pp but you can order a la carte, which they don't immediately tell you (tricky!).
10.0 Excellent
Cons: there was continuous electro pop music blaring pretty much all the time
6.8 Good
Pros: Location and Beach are really nice
Cons: Very expensive, everything has a service surcharge (never seen anywhere else in mexico).
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great decor! Love the vibrant colors & patterns + very modern chic design. Food was delicious! Beautiful beaches, great pools. Great service & friendly staff.
Cons: The wooden slats in the bathroom windows felt like other guests passing by could see in, but putting the shades down made the room incredibly dark even with the lights turned on. I agree with previous review, lighting in rooms is not good. Great for setting the mood! But terrible for all else- makeup, reading, putting in contacts etc. We were on the Jungle side, squaking birds woke us up in the middle of the night.

Pros: The cleanliness. The property was very manicured and clean. Location was great. The staff was amazingly helpful.
Cons: Everything was literally great.
7.5 Good
Pros: This is a hotel that is an amazing value for what they charge. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly, but id say its for the "Active" person... surfer, SUP, who has intentions of being out of the room all day.
Cons: Water press was extremely low.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, comfortable room, helpful reception staff
Cons: No fridge or kettle in the room
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location, nice pool area, loved the hammocks
Cons: No drinkable water in the rooms, no ice machine. The beach was full of rocks
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything about the hotel - the clean, bright room; friendly, helpful staff; how close the hotel was to the beach and to the town; and the view of the beach from the pool was beautiful. The hammocks around the pool were a nice touch. The location of the hotel was quiet and restful. We would definitely go back!
Cons: It would be nice to have a small refrigerator in the room to keep some cold drinks, snacks or leftovers like pizza on hand; or even have a large jug of purified water in the room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location right on the beach.
Cons: The toilet had an issue but still worked.

Pros: Was a quiet, clean place in the perfect location. Staff was fantastic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view!, relaxed and perfect spot to connect with Nature!
Cons: They don't include breakfast, which I don't mind, prefer to try spots in town.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location. I liked the pool area. I liked the landscaping. I liked the beach. I liked the staff. I liked how clean the hotel was and its walkways.
Cons: The mattresses could have been a little softer. The water pressure in the shower was low. There could have been better soap, shampoo, and conditioner. A mini fridge would have been nice. A safe that works. 2 keys per room, so the other person could have one. A secure deadbolt on the door.
