Overlooking the waters of the Pacific Ocean and the sands of Rockaway Beach is the Silver Sands Motel. The motel boasts gorgeous views, affordable prices, and comfortable accommodations.

The motel had 39 rooms split into five different kinds. They’re all recently remodeled and meant to fit the needs of all kinds of travelers. There are rooms with one or two beds, some that have kitchenettes, and all with stunning views. Room amenities at Silver Sands Motel include coffee makers, flat-screen TVs with premium channels, fridges, microwaves, and free WiFi.

Some rooms have kitchenettes so guests can make some of their own meals. The motel property is close enough to many food options that guests can walk to them. Some that are in Rockaway are Old Oregon Smoke House that has seafood, Sand Dollar Restaurant & Lounge, and The Beach Bites & Dos Rocas.

Rockaway Beach has plenty of festivals to check out. Some that are popular are The Pirate Festival, Fourth of July, and The Kite Festival. Visitors can also just enjoy hanging out at the beach. Other attractions include the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, Tillamook Cheese Factory, Garibaldi Museum, and Manzanita Golf Course. There are also lots of shops within walking distance of the Silver Sands Motel.

This motel is very budget-friendly while getting guests right on the beach. The views from every room are spectacular and the updated rooms are ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Whether on a trip with a family or traveling alone, there’s something here that’s sure to please.

Pros (+) For a room with a partial view of the ocean it was awesome. Less than a minute from out the door to your toes in the sand.
Cons (-) We didn't pay top dollar for a room and weren't expecting too much. Kids wished that the pool was open, but that was because of Covid 19. No complaints, had a great time.

Pros (+) Right on the beach! Clean bathroom
Cons (-) Two stove burners didn’t work. Heater was on high & would not turn down Couch old & crummy was too low to see ocean. Had to sit on hard chairs to see out. Bare minimum kitchen supplies. Pans have Teflon peeling so can’t use. Place needs lots of work.
