Great choice of facilities, excellent location, very helpful and kind staff, comfortable and clean, great breakfast...love this hotel
The hotel was fairly priced. We were looking for a clean, comfortable hotel that didn't break the bank for an overnight stop. This was fine. The room was actually very nice although we didn't get the double bed we booked. Not a huge problem as we are used to hotels offering only twins but as it was given as an option and the hotel was nowhere near full it was noticed. The hotel was clean and warm. The parking was great and included in the price.
The check in was brief, I assumed I would find more info in the room but it was still the summer info and most of what was stated wasn't open so I wasn't sure what was available... or not. We went to the bar and I ordered a cocktail (it had been a long drive) it cost around €9 but it had very little (if any) alcohol in it, I also ordered a beer which was fine. The breakfast was mediocre, lots of choice but nothing special, to be fair though for what we paid it was sufficient. There were lots of staff at breakfast but we weren't greeted so wasn't sure if I could sit anywhere and I spent 5 minutes walking around trying to find coffee before finally admitting defeat and asking a waiter who went and got me some. There were no bin bags in the room either, if this is to save plastic I am all for it, however, a biodegradable alternative is needed. Although this may sound negative, for our needs this was fine. We got what we paid for and for an overnight or short stay in winter I would even recommend it, providing the above aren't important to you. I assume it is also run differently in the summer when the hotel is in full swing.
There were three of us and we booked a twin room with an extra bed, but they gave us a free upgrade to a suite with a separate living room with an extra (double) bed. The hotel is nicely renovated, set in a park about three minutes away from the beach and cca 15 minutes to town. However, it's a beautiful walk to town - along the coast with great views all the way.
The room, service, location, breakfast, the park surrounding the hotel, the beach, the old town, the indoor pool and sauna - all that was excellent!
