Youthful trendy vibe, we stayed in a room that overlooked The Tigre outdoor lounge/club, and a private Garden. The location is prime. St Tropez was so charming, this hotel was steps away from all the action, restaurants, people watching, and shops. I liked the breakfast served in the outdoor lounge area overlooking historic St. Tropez. Charming, nice staff. I got a good laugh watching the cooing doves flip their personality and mimic the aggressive screeching sounds of the seagulls to compete with them for food scraps on the vacant tables. It was priceless to watch sweet little doves talk sea gull! During the day No traffic sounds, just sounds of birds, wind in trees, and ocean. Bathroom is vintage, but was the cleanest bathroom we experienced on our road trip!
Steep stairs hard to haul luggage. However the staff jumped in to help. A little loud at night because of outdoor club chatter, but I was so tired it did not bother me too much. They had provided complimentary ear plugs which I liked.
The view and the vibes
We stayed for4 days and they did not change our bed sheets or towels once. Breakfast was extremely minimal.
Its style vintage and great location.
They did not provide a shower cap and body lotion. Minimum products were provided.
The location is great, Bar & Restaurant with views overlooking the town and the bay. Great place for drinks at the terrace, cool visitors and chill out mood. Convenient valet parking with a fair price for the area. Staff is "french way" friendly.
It is welcoming from the exterior and it's nice to visit as a guest for drinks and restaurant, but not as pleasent to stay as guest of the hotel. The exterior fits charming Saint-Tropez style, with Pétanque game, Bougainvillea vines and nice views as mentioned, but the interior its not very well maintened, not as clean as needed, the amenities are few (almost none). The hallways and rooms are too dark to be nice to stay in: with dark green or violet walls, dirty and stained black marble floors. The bathroom concept isn't the most confortable for guests that are couples, with no-window toilet cabins and shower literally inside the room (no-exhauster as well). From the lobby of the hotel to the rooms, everything smells either like food (from the restaurant kitchen) or like a night club on the next day, so it is hard to feel cleaninnes around. Also, there is a Club located on the ground floor near the entrance that gets very busy (and loud) late hours (up to 3 am), so if you are looking for a quiet stay, this is not the place. We didn't mind, but be aware. The pictures on Booking are so awful, that I actually was surprised in a good way when we arrived, specially after reading a few of the reviews here and there. Staff is "french way" friendly as mentioned, so trying to speak a few basic words in their language might help (scpecially Americans). There is no elevator in the property, so be aware of medium and large suitcases. It is definetely not a confortable place to stay, but the price was quite an asset for those days and location helps the average rate.
The hotel had a great vibe. It was stylish and subdued with an elegance that was modern meets old world . The grounds Re very pretty as well lush gardens and beautiful facade
The room wAS very small with little to no amenities and the service overall was lacking and for the most part unhelpful
With a stay at Hôtel Ermitage, you'll be centrally located in Saint-Tropez, a 1-minute drive from Saint Tropez Citadel and 9 minutes from Pampelonne Beach.
