It is close enough to the Bell Rock hiking trails that you can just walk there and not pay to park. It is across the street from the Circle K which was handy. There are gorgeous views every where you look (except out our room's window.)
We arrived early and seemed to be one of the first people there, but we were given the only room in the entire place with no view whatsoever. When I immediately asked for a different room I was told that our room was the only "standard room" and that all of the other available rooms were "upgraded" rooms even though they were right next to ours. The clerk added condescendingly that they were all much more expensive than our room. I checked that night at 8:30 p.m. and again at 6:30 a.m. the next morning and there were 4 empty rooms on the 1st level and 2 empty rooms on the 2nd level that went unrented all night. It wouldn't have cost them a dime to let us have one of them. The pillows were the worst pillows I've encountered in this country and should be thrown away immediately. The "breakfast" was only a small muffin and a cup of coffee in the lobby -after 7:00 a.m.
Breakfast is just small muffins and coffee, which is the absolute minimum I would expect. the setting was "as advertised, but the "upgrade" to a second floor, carrying luggage upstairs, was not worth the price.
Keys didn't work, because they hadn't been activated; sink was cracked, carpet was dirty, bed seemed much too soft and the place seemed long past its prime, even after a "make-over" some years ago. We certainly weren't expecting a resort -level stay, but this was disappointing.
Very affordable if you don't want to spend a ton on accommodations. Staff were so helpful and friendly!!!
This is an older motel keep in mind (the price reflects that). It is very affordable, if you don't want to spend a ton on accommodations. It is about a 10 min drive into Sedona.
Friendly staff, quick check in and good parking. The hotel is situated in the Village of Oak Creek about 20 minutes drive from the main Sedona tourist area. There are stunning views from the hotel. Rooms are a little old fashioned but big and well equipped. There are some shops and restaurants within walking distance and hiking trails close by.
Room had a smell and the beds were bad
