Realy friendly and helpfull staff. Marvelous localization., very friendly for walkers. Fantastic room and hotel.
Main building is beautiful and courtyards are lovely to view and sit in.Pool is small but in good condition and staff where very nice.
As we book economy room we expected the rooms to be different however we ended up in a different building from main building on as separate street ( connected by gate across the street and accessed by tunnels) which is fine, however it was a lot less decorated, courtyards boring and nothing like the main building. We had two beds in the room , the wooden frame meant they where put together as a double but a big gap in the middle. One bed was old, hard and made noises by the slightest movement and the shower was so small you can shower but not lift you arma to the side and wash your hair. We paid over £100 a night so although economy room you’d expect a comfy mattress and easier shower as a minimum.
Historical features, quietness of rooms
One room (222) was too dim
Loved the quirky if confusing layout. Had fun finding our way around(and getting lost) lovely courtyards and the pool was a welcome bonus- a relief after the heat. Very comfortable beds and beautiful bed linen.
Something out of the ordinary with great charm. Excellent location, easy 10 minute walk from the Cathedral. The quirky layout and underground passages to reach the room are great fun and add something different. The rooftop pool is large enough for a dip, and while sun lounges are not plentiful, we found it easy to get a table near the bar.
Internet access in the furthest houses/rooms is terrible. And the aircon temperature is centrally controlled so if its too cold for you, that is unfortunate (we were told to simply turn it on and off to solve the issue as apparently it couldn't be switched from central control).
