10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and proper
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Overall, comfy bed, wonderful breakfast, nice gourmet evening meals on half board (see pictures), and free outdoor parking (or paid underground garage). From a non-skiers perspective, this place is a great wellness area spot. We have been to many ski properties, which all have to have wellness areas as I don’t ski (only my husband does), and Das Central has by far the largest pool/sauna/steam room/fitness area of any hotel we have stayed at. They also have so many relaxation rooms with day beds, loungers, and even heated waterbeds that you will never have an issue finding a place to rest between each sauna/steam room session. The best part is the included program of activities, from exercise sessions to sauna infusions to peelings and mask sessions in the steam room (see attached photos for examples). When you arrive, you will get a booklet of the week’s program, which changes daily. The sauna area is open from 14:00-20:00 unless there is bad weather, then they open it as early as 11:00. The gym and pool are open much earlier. From a skier’s perspective, while the location is literally smack dab in between the two gondolas Giggijoch and Gaislochkogl that are at each end of Sölden village (hence the name Das Central), their included shuttle service makes getting to/from the gondolas a breeze. My husband never had to wait more than 3-4 minutes for a shuttle, and more often, there was no wait at all (even on the return trip to the hotel). The shuttles are constantly driving back and forth with only a start and end time, but no schedule in between. If you arrive from the gondola, you get in and they drive you to the hotel. No waiting for other guests. They have more than one shuttle, which makes things very convenient.
Cons: My biggest issue was the lack of afternoon snack (aka Skijause in Austrian terms). Every hotel we have stayed at in Sölden, St. Anton, Ischgl, Saalbach-Hinterglemm, etc. has always had a sweet and savory snack (like cakes and soup/stews or sausages) from around 14:00-16:30 in their restaurant. It helps to hold you over until dinner, which we would always partake in because we normally stay in the sauna area until it closes, meaning our dinners started at 20:30 or later, and because the hubby is hungry after a day of skiing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Delicious food, very friendly and polite staff, comfortable spacy rooms. The shuttle bus to the lifts is super. Spa is perfect, good water temperature in the swimming pool, nice sauna infusions every hour.
Cons: Main entrace doors are closing quite noisy so in the morning I was woken up by my neigbours who went out early morning. Unsufficient parking place on outside parking lot, lots of them were reserved for BMW experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The free upgrade
Cons: That the spa is naked only

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The food at breakfast and dinner was very good. Loved the outside jaccuzi, especially the view
Cons: In the evenings, SPA facilities were sometimes crowded and loud. The vegetarian dinner options were often subpar compared to the meat & fish
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hotel, wonderful spa...great
Cons: Nothing at all
1.0 Poor
Pros: This hotel really has a potential to be a true 5 stars hotel/resort. And we arrived with excellent recommendations from our family and friends who had been stayed at this hotel previous years. We had an early reservation for one room approximately half a year ago and in last minute (literally on a day of arrival) we booked second room. and .... see what happened later.
Cons: 1. When we checked in - we came to dinner at the hotel's restaurant. It took a little long time to bring order to our table, it was not so pleasant, but we decided that sometimes such things happens, human factor, etc. and didn't say anything to the hotel staff. 2. Dinner on a second day was the same and even worse - we came to the dinner at 19.30 (according to the schedule dinner stars at 19.00) and there are already was no available choice from kids menu. I was on a conference call with my colleagues and during hour(!) several times visited table where my family (4 more persons including 2 kids) were sitting and they said to me that nobody still didn't bring them main course dishes. Several times I tried to kindly ask different waiters to pay attention to our table: to bring the order and at least to clean table take out plates after starters (salad bar). Nobody did not do anything. After that several times I tried to communicate to the gentleman as hostess/manager(?) for the restaurant - also NO any progress! Finally Mrs Elizabeth (owner of the hotel arrived) - she was smiling, didn't say any apologies but promised to pay attention to our table. So, the evening was smashed, kids were tired for waiting so long time and strange reaction of the staff (and even owner!). Nothing changed, even next morning breakfast - nobody even took care to clean table when we requested(!) about it. After that we didn't visit dinners anymore (four more evenings). "interesting" thing was that they saw that our table empty every night and nobody even tried to ask about the reasons (considering this previous day experience) But it was not the end, unfortunately. 3. On checking out one more "surprise" was expecting us. For some reason hotel decided that our kid is already (now is the February) 4 years (but his birthday in April) and recalculated the price of accommodation from initial quote.
1.0 Poor
Cons: steal, lie, cheat as sometimes normal in this region
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An ideal hotel for winter rest. Large rooms, tasty breakfast and dinner with lots of choice and big spa.
Cons: No disadvantages

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location... the entry of the hotel is literally on the slope. The infinity pool is exactelly as shown in the picture.. no fish eye required :)
Cons: No sun on our last day.. we can't blame Enzian :) Seriously... the hotel is great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff are unbelievable. To a person i want to adopt them all. The facilities and location are special.
Cons: I’d like an a la carte menu and and bed and breakfast option. Tying me down every night for dinner is a little restrictive.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The variety of the terrain for all levels is excellent. The length of the runs were good.
Cons: The line ups were chaotic. There should be ropes for different lines towards the chairlift to guide groups of people to make it more organized.
7.9 Good
Pros: Convnient ski-in ski-out location
Cons: The hotel misses a personal touch of family run business places so typical for Austria (owned by an investment group). Ventilation from the kitchen not ideal, not ideal smell all over the hotel central amenities and a bar. Mind nude policy at the outdoor pool, very unpleasant surprise for family with kids by the arrival! Overall, a bit overrated as 4S facility.
Hotel Edelweiss - Sölden - Bedroom

8.8 Excellent (198 reviews)

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Most convenient location in the middle of slopes.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, room was really comfortable
Cons: The dinner on 19.04 was wonderful but the dinner on the next day was really bad. The risoto was not good and also the desert also bad. It seems a different chefs was on duty. Also we ask a red wine glass and the supervisor told us it was not allowed, just the white wine glass because it was expensive. If it is the cause the hotel should charge a cost and refund the guests once the glass was returned and not making a rule and prohibiting the guests to have a suitable glass of wine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Edelweiss it is like the flower itself, so rare to find and it only grows in high altitude. Hotel is such a hidden gem, located in 2090 meters above sea level, doorstep skiing. Food is so delicious, place is clean and extremely well maintained, big THANK YOU to Thomas, Julia, Swheta (hopefully did not forget anyone and wrote all your names correct) who made our staying very pleasant. I have received a complimentary bottle of prosecco in front of our door on my birthday, which was so kind and surprising. All the staff pay attention to details. A picture is worth a thousand words, you are all amazing, because what matters is how you made the people feel, not what you said.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great location on the slopes, great food
7.9 Good
Pros: Fantastic location. Right on the slope.
Cons: Breakfast was very late. 0800. Too late in my opinion, if you want to be first on the slopes. Used the option to go skiing before breakfast, but it would have been nice, to be able to have a cup of coffee before going. I expect that option in a four star hotel.

6.7 Good
Pros: Hands down, the views were the best thing about this place. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and nice. This isn’t always the case in Europe.
Cons: Eating dinner in the dining room was like eating in a morgue. They try to pull off fine dining but it comes across as uncomfortable silence. So much so that we didn’t enjoy it. The “bar” is a disused cafeteria that probably fed lots of people sausages and beer in the 80’s and 90’s. Now it is filled with tacky gems and polished stones for sale like a sad tourist trap. Everything looks like it is past it’s glory days and has become a strange warehouse (sorry - “museum”) of minerals and gems. Looks like an owner’s hobby took priority over maintaining a healthy hotel. Bed was very uncomfortable. Pillows were like sacks of old socks and the mattress was spring filled and you can feel each one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dinner was especially good (and breakfast) - the twin room exceeded our expectations (two doubles with separate rooms) and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The apres ski in the bar was great
Cons: Parking was a little tricky and access to the resort could be tricky, to be fair on confirmation the hotel did say that access was challenging, no issues with a 4x4 but it is narrow and steep (and snowy)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful. Clean. Comfortable. Everything there we needed. Sauna was excellent. Gym was great. Music in the Kuhstall was great. Thanks
Cons: Good location. Beautiful surroundings. Food was great, even for vegetarian. The mineral museum is very nice and gives the hotel special flair and a very homely feel. Well for and we will be back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic scenery. Great place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely perfect ski in - ski out location backed with exceptional service from all staff especially the restaurant and bar staff, the apre ski bar girl, and the reception girls. 10/10 A+++
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fresh drink
Cons: I did not have bathrobes and slippers in room for sauna.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally clean hotel everywhere you go. From rooms, to restaurants, spa and even the lounge.
Cons: I think the skiing van should leave early and there was no clear guidance or flexibility on this. We booked this as a ski trip and had to use the public transport to get to the gondola. Apart from this everyone was very friendly and helpful with the exception-of one grumpy male waiter in the restaurant who was not keen of entertaining any other language apart from german. However a waitress called Katarina was exceptional.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located in the center of the village, a bit off two main gondolas. Rooms are decorated in a traditional Tirol-style decor. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent and the aqua complex (sauna, steam rooms, jacuzzi, rest area) is very nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I understand that some of the rooms are updated, but our room was not (although it was on the upper side of the pay scale) and the noisy fan in the bathroom and the toilet was going on for quite a while after you exit the facilities. Also, in the bathroom there was only one big bottle of shampoo (very nice though) but there was no body lotion or conditioner and the soap was tiny (half an inch by half an inch) - all that is quite unusual for a North American traveler. Also, nice soft bathrobes were provided but the slippers were not.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: An excellent place to stay in the heart of Sölden. Great food serving breakfast and dinner. Friendly and helpful staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked pretty much everything! Very comfortable hotel, well run and efficient. Excellent food with wonderful creations by the chef team. Excellent waiter looked after us. The layout of our room was really good - with slightly separated bed area making it feel almost like a small suite. The decor style was very traditional but good quality. Lovely spa facilities. Good location and very easy for the town and the Giggijoch lifts. The interior design of the modern dining area was very good quality with good attention to the design of the ambient lighting, making it relaxing without being too bright or too dark for seeing what you are eating etc.
Cons: All very good. Not much to not like! Only thing I could say would be it would be nice to have slippers for the spa area - I didnt bring any as am used to getting complimemtary ones to use with the robe. Also extra pillow in the room would be nice as the Austrian ones are always very shallow if you are not used to them. If there was a pool too it would be wonderful! As I say, not really any bad points to note though!
7.1 Good
Pros: A good breakfast, close to center
Cons: I don’t love the shower in the bathtub

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Brand new building, big bathroom and kitchen, you really get what you see in the pictures
Cons: Location feels is away from everything (but its really not but somehow u feel unare in the middle of nowhere), we didnt really get any tools for the fire so it was quite difficult to put more wook in the fireplace without smoking the whole living room
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Everything was just more than perfect besides the fact that during some periods of time there was nobody at reception that is strange - I see it the first time)
6.0 Good
Pros: Nice apartments with a luxurious design. Warm welcome with a glass of Prosecco. Nice spa area with a small buffet with some snacks.
Cons: Unfortunately first time a cleaning was done, was after the 4th nights. Also no towel change before. The pricing is rather expensive and therefore I would expect cleaning everyday. Rooms are too warm, even when you turn off all the heaters.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostess Daria? was very friendly and explained everything really well. The facilities were amazing and clean. The late checkout was a nice touch as well as the ample parking.
Cons: The bedroom window was broken so a lot of noise from the road could be heard. We didn’t realize until the last night

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean and the food was delicious
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Faultless. It’s luke they read a manual on how to run a hotel and then implemented it. Normally there is an element somewhere that is poor. I couldn’t find any. Even when one of our party couldn’t make it due to illness they did not rush to charge us. They attempted to resell the room. The restaurant food was superb. Every dish was faultless. The Pizza is the best i have had and that is some praise having toured Italy and lived i. The States for 4 years. Drinks served in nice quality glasses. The design of the hotel and how it integrated with a superb ski hire facility worked and flowed effortlessly. The location is off of the car park of one of the towns main ski lifts so ease of access to skiing was superb also. Rooms were great, spacious, clean and well serviced. Some pillow snobs may want to think about bringing their own pillows but other than that you should/will have a very enjoyable experience here. I can honestly say this is the best value for money ski hotel i have stayed at. Sölden is the best kept secret for ski connoisseurs and Backelat Wirt would make an excellent choice from which to enjoy this.

Pros: Overall great! The hotel is very well designed for all skiers' needs (e.g. great ski storage, luggage storage close to the entrance for moving a lot of things, great pool area etc). Breakfast as well as dinner was very good. The room was spacious and clean, and the cleaning lady was attentive to some details (due to baby).
Cons: The afternoon snack (we had a half-board package) could offer also something healthier e.g. some fruit, boiled eggs etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and value. Good food and wellness facilities. Ski depot was convinient and useful. Location is just a 10 min walk from the gondola
Cons: Not much not to like!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The highlight in this hotel are the owners and the service they provide. They are absolutely amazing. From the first time we entered the hotel to the goodbye, there were just outstanding. We travel a lot around the whole world but we have never experienced such nice, warm, personal service. Both owners are speaking English very well and they really do care about you. Breakfast was excellent, the room was clean although maybe a bit small as we didn't have much space where to put our luggage. But to be honest we could book and pay for the larger apartments if we wanted. So no complaint just a statement. We had a great view of the Solden ski resort and it is a short walk to the main Giggijochbanh where you can start your skiing adventures. And wellness is also great! I definitely recommend relaxing there after a day of skiing. The hotel is located perfectly I think. You are a bit away from the noisy Solden center but really just around 10 mins walk to get there to shops, bars and restaurants.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is good , not so close to the city, but 15 min walk and you are in the city center . The hotel gives you voucher for ski room next to the lift, so you don’t need to cart anything with you! The kitchen is nice , there are everything that you need for cooking . The SPA is wonderful , but working hours is really strict , you can enjoy it only between 16:00 until 20:30, which is actually fine after whole day of skiing.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are wonderful. They're there every morning to serve breakfast and make sure everything is too your liking. The rooms are comfortable and really clean. It's a ~5 minute hike to the lifts and you get free depot service, so no toting your stuff every day. After the a day in on the mountain, the welness offers the perfect retreat with three sauna and a large relaxing room.
Cons: The only thing that could come too mind is that the rooms are a bit on the small side. Other than that, nothing

Pros: Very spacious and newly renovated room and nice view, staff was very friendly. 4 types of sauna. If there is enough snow, you can start ski directly from the hotel, if not you have to walk approx 150m (if the slope is open).
