10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly Staff was so thoughtful and got me chocolate covered strawberries for my 59th bday Concierge excellent for dinner reservations Gorgeous garden restaurant Great pool
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Greeting was fabulous and personal, with more than one welcome surprise. I found the staff unfailingly friendly, gracious, and guest-observant. Wonderful location near the fabulous Musee de Beaux Arts. Stunning lobby and Palm Court, elegant rooms with every imaginable amenity.
Cons: Whilst I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, my breakfast had just a shade less of a wow factor than some other aspects of my overall wonderful experience. The food area seemed slightly underattended and the presentation was functional rather than ornamental.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
7.1 Good
Pros: Service is excellent and very responsive
Cons: Motion sensors that cause lights to go on in the middle of the night when you get up to go to the bathroom, and can't be disabled without a visit from maintenance. We had just arrived from the UK and when the lights went on at 2:00 am that was the end of my night of sleep. Very unhappy about that (as they now know). Who wants someone else to decide to turn on lights for you? I could have quite easily navigated to the bathroom by the ambient light from the light switches (already quite bright) and didn't need some nanny state turning lights on for me so I don't stumble in the "dark"
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Café Boulud, the rooms, the bathroom, the service
Cons: Nothing
Hotel Gault - Montreal - Building

9.3 Excellent (728 reviews)
C$ 304+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Gault in Montreal (Old Montreal), you'll be steps from The Underground City and 4 minutes by foot from Palais des congres de Montreal. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant, Welcoming Staff. Modern, clean room.
Cons: Parking is $35 + tax per night which is quite steep. But I guess that's the price you pay to be in a prime location in MTL.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had to check in to hotel earlier than usual, at about 11am, staff rushed to have our room clean and had our room by 13 (1pm). Despite rushed cleaning, rooms were extremely clean, well organized. Rooms are specious, bathrooms are huge and come with extremely nice toiletries, towels and bathrobes. Hotel is located in ideal location both for tourists and business travellers, as its super close to historical town, with lots of restaurants places, but also near financial district in downtown Montreal. Hotel is located on very quite street, ideal of quiet night sleep.
Cons: Nothing. Hotel is extremely modern, clean and met all expectations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My family and I couldn't have been happier staying here. The room was great. Fit the 3 of us just fine. We had a king size bed and the staff brought up a folding twin for my daughter. The bathroom was fantastic. Giant deep tub, glass enclosed shower, and a separate room for the toilet. The bar/lounge/library down stairs was very nice. Their breakfast was fine. The staff was top notch. They are incredibly friendly and so willing to help make your stay memorable. They took care of booking tours, recommending restaurants, and booking our limousine back to the airport. The location in old Montreal couldn't have been better. It's on a quiet little street and just a short walk to everywhere. Next time I go back to Montreal I will be staying here for certain.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a terrace room, which meant we had a small outdoor area in addition to a really spacious seating area, kitchenette and bedroom. The staff were all really pleasant and helpful, recommending restaurants and things to do.
Cons: The hotel is great, but it is in a quiet area, probably the business district, so restaurants weren't on the doorstep in abundance, particularly in the evening.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff is great. Rooms are large. Dining is good for breakfast. Very welcoming.
Cons: The bed isn’t good for bad backs and platform is easy to stub toes on.
7.1 Good
Pros: Upgraded to a suite which was spacious. Wonderful bed.
Cons: There isn't much soul to the property. The bar is in the lobby but didn't feel inviting or happening. Room was large but not very well decorated.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All looks new. Great location.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was great!
Cons: A little noisy outside due to construction.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and the hotel seems to be recently remodeled. We were room upgraded - very spacious. Staff was accommodating.
Cons: Room was prebooked at a mutually agreed total price. On arrival insisted on adding $100/night for "incidentals" without a treasonable explanation. A very poor introduction to the hotel!! A lousey way to run a business.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Milton Brown Products!!! My favorite!
Cons: The elevator broke down.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Front desk and room service staff is superb. Generous and easy space in even the smallest rooms. Nice location. Seek out Candide, Manitoba, and Hoogan et Beaufort for superb dinners.
Cons: Food service staff can be slow and forgetful. The lack of a more substantial window treatment than sheers can be annoying when one would prefer to sleep in a bit. Construction zones blanket the city, work begins early, and never ends...a fact of life in Montreal.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed the European somewhat exclusive feel of the hotel, , with spacious rooms and a nice design. The staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: Upon check in there was some kind of children's birthday party in which the parents let the children run around yelling in the lobby bar and restaurant. A bit off putting.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room is very big with a nice kitchen, very suitable for a short trip to Montréal.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room. Full kitchen. Great for families. Clean bathroom. Dog friendly. Free breakfast.
Cons: The hotel is located in the heart of the city which is very convenient. However there is lots of construction around the area with lots of road closures ( this is not the hotel’s fault, but getting around can be annoying due to road closures). Free breakfast is great, but there were no hot options and the breakfast room was very crowded.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Resturant closed two of our nights stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was good and rooms were great. Lots of room, like a mini apt.
Cons: Breakfast was ok but not great. Not a reason to not come back. Otherwise, no complaints.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location - very easy walk to both local metro stations. Small restaurant onsite. However, located very close to any number of eateries. Great checkin and helpful bellboy. There is onsite valet parking. However, right next door is a public parking lot. Safe to walk around at night. Ask for a room on the backside of the hotel. VERY quiet!
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: none
Cons: Internet was horrible this time Bed was hard and hurt my back We usually stay here when in Montreal but this was our last time
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located. Easy access to 2 subway lines. Walking distance to many restaurants, old Montreal, museums and train station for day trip to Quebec City (took 1st train out and latest returning back).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: No
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfy. Good space in the room. Fridge
Cons: Lighting in bed and bath was terrible. Not enough in the bath & what's there is in bad position for women putting on makeup or doing their hair. Couldn't open the curtains because there were not any sheers. People across the street can see into the windows. WiFi slow and poor connection.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely modern hotel with large room and view over the city
Cons: Breakfast was average, bread, cereals boiled eggs and little fruit and lots of sweet buns. For a hotel of this quality we expected cold meats , plenty of fruit and more savoury options We also thought it would have a bar. There was wine and beer available but it was not obvious!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean lines and cleanliness. Service from all staff. From extra pillows to calling cabs for us to keeping breakfast stocked. Love the Mac computer in room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The water in the shower could have been warmer (it was not bad, just not super hot) and the breakfast essentially only consisted of bread (again, it was good, just more variety could have been better).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was of great quality. The rooms are spacious. I liked the design of the hotel.
Cons: They shouldn’t have a sign behind the hotel for parking when it’s not for the hotel patrons. Don’t try and park there.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean and nicely located. I loved the design of the rooms.
Cons: More variety for breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Adjusted the AC as I like to sleep in cold temperature, however it never got colder. It was still a comfortable enough temperature to sleep in
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location very easy to get around with a metro station a few minutes walk away and a straight road down to the old town. Staff were great and made the check in and out process very quick. Good standard continental breakfast with bagels, toast, pastries, cereal and fruit. As a solo traveller I would recommend this as it was in a location that was always busy and there was always someone on reception so felt very safe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice big, clean room, friendly staff, no nonsense operation, stylish design, comfortable bed and, surprisingly, a Mac already installed in my room. Nice big desk too.
Cons: Only one protein option at breakfast (boiled, unshelled eggs). Everything else was cereal, pastries, oatmeal.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We liked the breakfast, hotel decoration and, mainly, room. Super confortable bed; spacious and well equipped room with coffee machine, fridge and an iMac computer. We would stay at the hotel Le Dauphin again.
Cons: Everything was great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great!!
Cons: Not that I didn't like, but, for my mom that is handicap, it was very hard for her to go on the bed because it was a bit too tall for her.

Pros: Everyone was accommodating and pleasant. The location was perfect with shopping and night life close by. The offered upgrade upon arrival was amazing and greatly appreciated.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was the perfect for sightseeing, and the room was upgraded into suite room with terrace, so we stayed in a quite large and comfortable room.
Cons: Kitchen supplies were not enough to cook.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the room. Plus the desk, concierge and porter staff consistently made guests feel special and welcomed.
Cons: A simple take out toasted bagel ordered in the bar area near the reception desk at 7am during a rushed check out. It was exceptionally small, rock hard and the server acted as if he was being inconvenienced.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had dinner one night and breakfast one morning. Both were very good. Very quiet and relaxing. We never felt rushed and our waitresses were very sweet. Loved the decor and the little courtyard right outside.
Cons: Wish we had more time. Loved our stay.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service
7.1 Good
Pros: Nearness to port , pleasant and helpful girl at reception desk and a helpful concierge.
Cons: Strange rooms, they were very big but dark and old fashioned and shabby. The bathroom was good but there was only soap and no bath gel or hand lotion. The lights did not work until maintenance jiggled with them, the room had a pull down bed in the living area. The decor was quite ugly, old fashioned red lamps and dark carpet, one curtain was off its hinges and a vinyl chair was cracked and peeling. Not a place you would want to spend time. Staff at breakfast were very slow, I had to ask the waitresss to order even though there was only one couple in the restaurant, I had to chase the waitress again for coffee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, the hospitality was amazing. They staff was very tentative. Definitely planning to stay at the Le Saint-Sulpice next time I am in Montréal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect. Right beside Notre Dame and walking distance to everything in Old Montreal. We were upgraded to a larger suite which was lovely. Separate living room with windows that opened on to the garden. Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonable $
Cons: Nope - wish we were there for more than one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Right in the middle of Old Town. Very convenient to great restaurants, art galleries and many Montreal sights. Beautiful hotel and accommodations.
Cons: Chairs, podium, tables stored in hallway to our room
9.0 Excellent
Cons: One disappointment- at the room rate we paid, it seems one could get a free cup of coffee in the morning before leaving.

Cons: NA
6.3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Good food. Good location.
Cons: Dust everywhere. Cheap, wobbly toilet seat couldn't be repaired. Room was dark.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Reception staff and doormen outstanding Room beautiful and comfortable with all amenities Perfect location Will definitely be back
8.3 Excellent
Cons: There was no water when we woke up. They claimed the city was repairing something but of course we were not informed of this when booking the property or at check in. We were not able to shower during our last day in Montreal because of this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The petite suite was exceptionally comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The staff was comprised of some of the most pleasant, helpful, people ever seen on this planet.
Cons: The room had an espresso maker, but did not have a regular coffee maker. For those of us who find espresso unpalatable, a regular coffee maker would be far preferable.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location. Staff were very accommodating.
Cons: Room was not cleaned to our expectations, especially big cobwebs hanging from high ceiling. I also believe that I was charged improperly and will be trying to work through that shortly with the hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I like it because it has “a heart” and a personality. I was given an upgrade to a very large room. Coffee machine in the room (perfect for me, since I hardly ever have breakfast and a coffee is all I need) . Situated in the heart of old Montreal, perfect if you want to go shopping or run by the river.
Cons: Carpets on the floors and in general furniture and bathroom would need to be “freshened up” a bit... bathtub I would personally replace with a nice shower.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was great! Location on the oldest street on Montreal, in the heart of old Montréal. Near many restaurants and shopping. On site valet parking. Hotel staff were very friendly. Upon check-in we were given a free upgrade to a junior suite which had a jacuzzi and in room gas fireplace, really warm and inviting.
Cons: There was absolutely nothing we didn't like.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Getting an upgrade was an unexpected bonus
Cons: The outside street noise. Was facing St Paul Street so nothing the hotel can do about that eh? Next time time I will request a room facing the back

5.4 Okay
Pros: Swimming pool area
Cons: Staff felt too relaxed, all a bit slow and laid back if you’re use to things happening at a good pace.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very impressed how well treated we were by the reception staff, Filipe Barbosa and Reda Lyoubi. Both very helpful and very polite. They made our stay even more pleasant. Thank you! Great location! Loved our room! Beautiful view! Would definitely go back!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Service, location, comfort, bed, quiet, staff
Cons: Hot water pressure was almost non existent-- in shower, bath, and sink. Staff was ready to help; however, I didn't notice this until late at night on my one night stay. Wouldn't normally be a huge deal but the luxurious bathroom is what made me choose this hotel over two other similar contenders. Additionally, HBO was the only channel that didn't work. Not sure if they advertise having HBO on the website, but it was on the channel guide and didn't have any service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed a breakfast and dinner in the restaurant off the hotel lobby. The downtown location is great. The room was clean and really quiet.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Swimming pool ! Great view !
Cons: No breakfast included !
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed. The option not to have the room made up on each day we were there but to make a charitable donation instead.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Starbucks and restaurant downstairs are excellent. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are extremely attentive. Everything was perfect.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice big rooms.
Cons: The girl at the reception took a long time to say Hi even if she saw us. She was putting forms in folders. My friend commented the bad welcoming and after she said Hi...

8.3 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast mediocre so did not use. Could be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is clean , staffs are helpful and friendly, location is walking distance to many attractions. There is a nice grocery store cross the street so that you can buy water or fruits.
Cons: Don’t have microwave in the room, nor on the floor, nor in the breakfast area. just want to heat up some muffins, then we need to go to 6th floor and walk thru many guest rooms.
7.0 Good
Pros: the location was great, close to everything. On-site parking and a late check out.
Cons: it was the 1st time I have ever stayed at a hotel with only 3/4 doors to the bathroom! Other than that an interesting layout of the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location , rooms ultra clean , front desk staff and restaurant staff very service oriented. Concierge very helpful in helping to secure last minute restaurant reservation. At back of lobby area is a lovely library area and business centre. Very well appointed. Walking distance to Old Montreal - 10 minutes. Desjardines mall 3 minutes walk very convenient for breakfast and grocery store in the mall. Lovely pool , sauna , gym and hot tub on 12th floor. Hotel practices good security and has quiet policy after 10pm. Overall a great hotel for both business and pleasure.
Cons: Nothing I did not like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has such a wonderful interior as is such a statement-setting glass exterior. The suite was very spacious and comfortable for the best night's sleep. Modern-day aesthetic has been very pleasant to see! The staff have been very attentive to my needs and have gone the extra mile to save my life as a DJ by providing me a cable that I had forgotten -- usually, the cable is not something you would easily "whip out of a storage room."
Cons: The parking lot was really tight. This should come as a warning to those who drive a long vehicle, such as a Chevrolet Suburban, because, despite whatever turning radius, your vehicle may rub into a column and, in turn, can do extensive damage to the vehicle body.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: The cost was higher this stay compared to other times I have stayed there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms. 10 min walk to city Centre and Old Montreal. Restaurant Bar AC in hotel is highly recommended.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast was not included
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Shower was terrific.
Cons: Room temperature was not adjustable. That made the room somewhat uncomfortable. The maid service was not up to par. Never received clean glasses or paper cups. Left only one washcloth both days.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff was helpful, location is easy excess to places for food...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Tha hotel facilities are amazing. Large and very comfortable room with excellent views. The breakfast is very good and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The area of swimming pool, sauna and gym is very good and clean. The location is a plus since you are pretty close of the city's main attractions. My kids adored the hotel.
Cons: All was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in perfect location what is the most important when we travel. Bed was comfy, our room and other spaces clean, food tasty and the staff...The staff was AMAZING! Me and my husband travel a lot and I mean a lot (few trips to Europe and several trips in US) and this was the friendliest staff we have ever experienced. Every single person, we tried to think about anyone who wasn’t and nope-they are all amazing. Our favorite was James (waiter at the restaurant) such nice and very knowledgeable gentleman. Will definitely come back!!!
Cons: Parking should be included in the room price plus breakfast was a bit pricey for a simple bufete.

Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Planning an event in Montreal? This hotel has facilities measuring 1100 square feet (102 square meters), including a meeting room.
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfeast not provided. Ate at other locations. Staff were very good. They assisted in all arrangements and went above and beyond.
Cons: Even though we were paying for a premium room, sheets were never changed--5 night stay. Floors never cleaned...minimal cleaning.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Great breakfast. Nice staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a delightful hotel. We chose a room looking toward the river and would have been within walking distance of the ship we disembarked (had the ship not changed the port docking number.) The location is fabulous. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was very nicely appointed and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Auberge du Vieux Port to others and stay there again, if in Montreal.
Cons: We have nothing to complain about or dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Early 30s couple , no kids, stayed for romantic and elegant weekend in Montreal anchored in Vieux Port. Auberge du Vieux Port certainly delivered. Romantic boutique hotel along with frontage on other main drag of vieux port. Rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful. Exposed bricks, large wooden beams, large stones and deep set windows from colonial era give elegant aesthetic. King sized beds and linens very comfortable and clean. Gaspar restaurant in hotel makes delicious breakfasts (breakfast poutine and banana nutella crepes were our faves) and seemed to be a lively nightspot for dinner and drinks. Rooftop terrace offers scenic view of Vieux Port, both water and urban area. Hotel is walking distance to all main attractions of the area from the park, science center, ferris wheel, clock tower, champs des Mars, Notre dame basilica, / places des armes, and many large grand buildings from a previous architectural age, reminiscent of Europe. We dined at Barroco, a Spain /French food upscale restaurant set in colonial era building within walking distance from the Auberge and known for its paella; reservations a must.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Service was extraordinary and everyone couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Our room overlooking the river was beautifully decorated and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. We will definitely stay here if we have occasion to return to Montreal.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Price caught me by surprise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Roof top bar awesome The timbers and beams gave the hotel a great old feel but all moderns comforts ... with complimentary coffee in morning.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: no breakfast though plenty pf patisseries nearby
Cons: additional 30-40$ for valet
7.1 Good
Pros: It was close to the cruise terminal. Convenient rear exit to the old city. Front desk set up transportation to the airport, driver was there early and ready to go.
Cons: Asked for early check in several month ago - not provided, they did store our luggage so we could roam the old city. Room was on the first floor so even though it was facing the river, you couldn't see the river as there was a double row of trees across the street, I dont remember now but believe we paid extra for a river view. Street immediately in front of hotel is traveled to some extent round the clock, being paved with cobble stones keeps you aware of traffic all night. Not friendly to handicapped visitors, stairs to rear exit and four rather narrow and tall steps in front.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect old port location and great rooms
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Being put upon to tip for EVERY thing and not having the freedom to choose the room temperature. The down comforter was extremely warm and no other option was offered. After stalling 2 nights at a lovely hotel in Quebec old city we were not impressed here....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The decor with the stone and wood was gorgeous
Cons: I would have liked a couple of actual coffee cups instead of demitasse in the room and actual hot instead of tepid coffee available downstairs with a ready supply of cream.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic renovated mansion. Top notch
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything. Absolutely beautiful hotel!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, beautiful hotel, delicious food and drinks, but the very best thing about this hotel is its staff who were genuinely warm and friendly, helpful and efficient. This was our family's first visit, but certainly not our last. We were pleased to meet the hotel's new head, a very impressive young man who said he was there to make the hotel even more perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building, excellent staff. Room facilities.
Cons: Not the hotel's fault, but our 17 year-old daughter was not allowed into the bar due to licensing laws. A coffee lounge, or outdoor terrace area, would be a good idea to allow the family to stay together.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Technology
Cons: Small room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was energetic, helpful, and seem happy to be working at the hotel. Hotel is a marriage of old and new design which was lovely. Drinks at the bar were an enjoyable beginning to the evening and dinner at the hotel was delicious and again, great staff.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was great and the bar was spectacular. The room was high tech and spacious. The TV was fantastically big.
Cons: On check-in I was charged for the entire stay including $1000 for incidentals even though I was told that it would just be a pre-authorization. I only found this out at check out when I wanted to pay with a different card. However, after some discussion I was refunded the the amount for incidentals but I had to pay with the same card to save time. Pre-authorization should mean just that and not full payment!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Concierge, Front desk staff, Bar George
Cons: Shower hot and cold mechanism did not work properly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Both our dinner and breakfast were outstanding!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was modern and clean
Cons: I left my ring in the room and when I called back they said it was not found. Too many steps! I would only recommend to certain people.
6.0 Good
Pros: This is a beautiful building with wonderful decor. The rooms are very nice and the bed was super comfortable.
Cons: So much effort went into being "chic" and "modern" that it was an effort to do anything: unintuitive bathroom tap controls; lights, curtains, & blinds controlled by buttons requiring reading glasses. Also, auto toilet seat was just creepy.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, modern rooms, great location, very nice breakfast menu, super friendly staff,...... I recommend to visit the Bar, they make a fantastic espresso martini
Cons: I liked everything in that hotel, except the Windows in the rooms. I would have preferred larger windows, in order to have more day light and better view of the outside.

Pros: The pictures are very true to how M Montreal is. The staff was nice and incredibly helpful, the hostel itself is set up in a great location with two metro stations within walking distance. The rooms and beds are clean and they offer daily activities for guests. Will definitely stay here again if I ever find myself back in Montreal!
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location near the main metro station. Great appartment with facilities to cook. Nice staff.
Cons: The breakfast is not good. For the money I paid I expected to have a better breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved the one bedroom apartment. It was quiet and offered lots of space and a separate bedroom for our child to sleep.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staffs were really friendly and helpful. The room is really clean.
Cons: Except the breakfast time there is no tea bag or coffee. The bed sheets can be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was nice. People who work there are great, the location is perfect, rooms are confortable and clean... Also a good place to meet people from everywhere. Don’t hesitate to go!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with amazing amenities! Near lots of tourism attractions and such helpful staff! They organise nice activities and the cafe on site is great!
Cons: Tv wasn't working for the first night, they came to repair it on the second day only and the patio door was locked with signs that they decided to lock it...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice room. Great basement bar.
Cons: Hot tubs were cold.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleaner and location.
Cons: Price. Very expensive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, service and spacious rooms
Cons: Bathroom was really tiny
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is close to Berri-UQAM, which is one big connecting metro station, as well as a bus stop to/from the YUL airport. There also are some stores around, just within a few minutes walk a away. The hostel holds some events everyday and you’d have a chance so social while exploring the city. Breakfast always comes with bagels and eggs etc and you may spice up a bit depending on your favorite. You have your own privacy on your bed with curtains and own light. You wanna live there and some people actually do for a couple of months!
Cons: Mostly safe, but there’s a chance you might wanna keep everything in the locker, which I recommend to have it locked. Well this might be the norm for hostel for some people though.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It's a beautiful hostel with a lot of amenities. Most of the staff are super friendly and helpful.
Cons: Didn't like having to walk up 2 flights of stairs everytime we needed to run to our room. Also the bathroom always had a bad smell. Bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Rooms can be too warm and you can't change the temperature. Also outside the area are a lot of drug users aking for weed or money.

Pros: Everything else was excellent, my favorite hotel in Montreal.
Cons: The TV remote is very difficult to work with, evident with my 2 times stay here. Difficult to aquire bottled water after midnight.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The value of room price is to much
Cons: N/a
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice bar. Good sized bed which was very comfortable.
Cons: I'm not a fan of self check in stations - for the price point of this hotel I would expect to see staff welcoming and taking care of you. The area is being developed so lacks the charm of the rest of the city.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy checkin/checkout. Able to put a bottle of wine for us in the room ahead of time.
Cons: Technology for TV's was hard to use and unresponsive.
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful lobby. Very comfortable bed. Staff is friendly. Great location.
Cons: I was really surprised at how many problems i experienced and the inability of the hotel to fix them without hassle. Firstly, they seemed perpetually confused that I had booked two separate stays back to back to extend my stay. Told to completely checkout of one room and into another for the second day. So I packed up my things and check my bags only to find out that it was all unnecessary. I was billed for one extra night by accident. The Tv was very complex and failed the first night. The climate control was unable to keep the room at the desired temperature even after they fixed it. My room was not visited by housekeeping for stay over service and when I came back at 21:00 I had to wait for it even though I’d already alerted the front desk it had not been done before i left for the day at 12:00. And as others noted, the shower controls are remarkably hard to use. These are all small problems but far too numerous to be excusable.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location and the room had a beautiful large window. Great wifi, and very hip and modern.
Cons: The soundproofing between the rooms was lacking, especially the bathrooms and the housekeeping pestering to clean a room could have been better.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location and overall aesthetic.
Cons: The room had a sewer smell every evening or when we came back to the room. Not sure what was causing it. had to keep water in the shower, that seemed to help.

Pros: Great place to stay. Near the metro. Comfortable beds and excellent staff who took care of us. Would recommend to anyone looking a great value hotel near Montreal. Breakfast was a bit less than what we expected but it was filling and not something to complain. Would definitely return.

Pros: This was a very clean and modern hotel very near a metro station. It was so convenient to park the car and get everywhere we needed to go using the metro system. We enjoyed the breakfast that was included in the room rate. The desk help was extremely friendly and very helpful. Would stay here again!!
Cons: No complaints at all...lovely hotel with an awesome location!

Pros: Bed was very comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities clean and bright.
Cons: Location wasn’t as convenient to the metro as the maps looked.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Continental breakfast didn’t have many options
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good people. Good room and breakfast.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The cleaning staff was very helpful and kind. The rooms were nice and welcoming. Looks like the rooms have been recently redone. I enjoyed the newspaper each morning and the complementary water bottles.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Dauphin Montréal, the rooms very comfortable and impeccably clean. Bonus was having a computer in our room. The staff was gracious and accommodating at all times. For us the breakfast area was a bit crowded to really enjoy, but the standard choice of items appeared to be above average in quality. Definitely made use of and appreciated the coffee/cappuccino maker available for use all day. Le Dauphin Montréal is our first choice in Hotels for the area.
Cons: There is only one elevator and a bit of a challenge during our stay, just to get on when needed. Minor frustration when trying to get to your room with a load of luggage or parcels, but does not in any way deter from staying here again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff is super friendly! Best bed in the world! Location is brilliant!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
7.1 Good
Pros: Room and location
Cons: The staff at the reception was unfriendly and unprofessional, They said I am young and they just have families in the hotel and they don't want me to host any party. this prejudgement was not acceptable at all and they were even worst by not even smiling back to us. Finally they said that they are facing problems with booking.com and the reservation making through this partner so be prudent
5.8 Okay
Pros: Parking access. Lobby nice but noisy. Food at Renoir was excellent. I thanked the chef and congratulated the very good restaurant manager.
Cons: The speed of delivery for things you ask. Which wastes slot of time of a tourist. The Renoir is excellent restaurant as mentioned above but first day every one was great but second day the waitress was very bad. It’s took 50 minutes to deliver breakfast, we were late for our next activity. Parking access was very good but bit slow. Reception people also not consistent in helping. Some are good. The people who come for room cleaning and room check can do much better job. Therefore overall I think I this hotel needs to be consistent in delivering services. I accepted the rate when I booked due to brand name, but the from above mentioned feedback I think highly priced.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I did not have breakfast at the hotel but the location was superb, right in the centre of downtown. From arrival to checkout every interaction I had with a staff member was polite and friendly, in some areas they went above and beyond. I had broken my wrist a week before and arrived in Montreal to find my Airbnb had been a scam. After some tears and internet searching I chose the sofitel. I arrived at the hotel a little battered, the Porter/Doorman D'arcy was the kindest most helpful, loveliest person I could of encountered. The help and and consideration shown was very much appreciated. I was helped through checkin by a lovely staff member as well and then escorted to my room. D'arcy helped me arrange my cases and open them and later a lovely note was sent gifting a dessert and ice cream to help me relax after a very stressful arrival in Montreal. The concierges in the otel were brilliant, from helping to arrange excursions to helping me create a walking tour for myself to see all of the main landmarks and lively areas. My room was very spacious and had a very well equipped bathroom, and all areas were kept very clean by the cleaner. To the hotel - Thank you, you all made my stay in Montreal perfect :-)
Cons: The water pressure in the shower cubicle could be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Check in staff friendly, well informed, helpful with queries (it was our first time in Montreal) and a pleasure to deal with. Breakfast was excellent too and staff very accommodating.
Cons: Nothing … it was excellent

Pros: The hotel staff were friendly, courteous and patient. Appreciated that everyone my friend and I encountered were completely bilingual( my friend did not speak French but everyone we encountered made her comfortable by speaking to her in English, without any hesitation). The restaurant Staff were fabulous. Considerate, efficient and very pleasant. The food in the Darlington restaurant was delicious, and very well presented.
Cons: The room rate could have been more specific regarding maximum charges, whether for 2 or 4 people in a room. I did get clarification when I called the hotel and the lady I dealt with was very polite and patient in her explanation to me.
4.2 Okay
Cons: i do not like the property because no heater in the room and we were 2ppl but the cup was only one remind so cannot drink even coffee
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Airport bus right outside Comfy bed
Cons: Noisy aircon
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Personal was great. The hotel as well. Location as expected.
Cons: What is considered as sauna, is separated sauna. Something not common in Europe. As I and my girlfriend were picking a hotel with sauna to be there together - this was a disappointment :-( I missed minibar, bathrope, and other stuff in the bathroom which is common even in noname three star hotels. But I believe upon request they will provide everything - except electricity adapter (convertor). I had to buy it myself for 40 dollars :-( Also the breakfast prices were a bit high - 20 dollars per person for modest breakfast ...
