Cons: Staff ignores when you have the "do not disturb sign" on and tried to enter on three different occasions, breaking the internal lock. Even after informing front desk of what happened first time they managed to try to enter the room twice whilst having the sign on. Other than that, room is small and higher price for double bed compared to twin bed.

Pros: The location of the hotel was great, it’s situated close to the woods with a lake makes for a lovely walk, and close to tram stops which was convenient to go into the centre or the beach. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the hotel is overall nice, modern and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was ok although very expensive Overall the room was nice (but nothing special), nicely decorated and clean. The spa facilities were great, easy to use and free of charge. We booked a massage treatment which is done through an external person, the wellness ladies were lovely and the massages were good.

Cons: not a 5 Star hotel... mould in the bathroom, barkeeper didn’t know it’s own menu and thought about 5-7 minutes wether Gin tonic is with ginger beer or tonic water, not very comfortable beds, expensive parking compared to the rest of the service.

Cons: We had one dinner at the hotel and we were very disappointed with the service, especially considering the prices were extremely high. The waiter didn't really understand us and it was difficult to communicate with him. I asked for a simple vegan salad and he said it was not possible since it was not in the menu. Then I asked for some sandwiches which were in the offer but without cheese. The order came with cheese sandwiches which were immediately replaced and the waiter apologized but still the experience was ruined.

Cons: The breakfast was extremely expensive so I would recommend grabbing something from the star bucks across the road or going to a cafe. Likewise the dinner was also very expensive. The tables in the breakfast restaurant were not cleaned after previous customers ate and for me the coffee was quite bitter in taste. The beds were small and the pillows were too soft. The toilets on the -0 floor were dirty at times.

Pros: The hotel's building is hihg and therefore you become a grate view from your room. Location is also verz good, 30 min walk to the city-center and a lot of parks nereby.
Cons: You should pay for animals and it was not shown during the booking process. Parking costs are extremely high! Rooms are not super clean and new, there was already openned schampoo and only one couple of slippers...

Cons: We booked a triple room for 3 adults. Only given one bottle of water between three of us!! 1 set of toiletries and not enough milk to make one coffee each. Did call house keeping and they did send additional toiletries and milk. They said its one bottle of water per room per stay , very poor really. My husband went to use steam room but was told there was a private group. Average Cooke breakfast , no poached eggs, no vegetarian sausages , no mixed chopped fruit. Not the usual Novotel standard

Cons: Poor sound proofing so we heard kids running about in the room above us from about 7am each morning. Also, a party going on locally on the Saturday night which was noisy until 6am Sunday! Location for us was really good. No breakfast facilities so may put some people off. Really good restaurants close by. Sort out sound proofing and we may come back! Watch out for lethal staircase...

Location was great for all attractions beach etc and handy for the tram 2 mins away to delft etc. Was pleasantly surprised as the outside appearance is nothing like the sophisticated interior will definitely return and recommend indoor pool too

Cons: Reception was not very friendly and hospitable. Although we checked in after 14:00 (check-in time), we still had to wait before our room was clean and ready. The lady at the reception didn't seem to care that much. While checking out, she asked us how our stay was, but didn't respond to any of our feedback. The state of the room and facilities (although clean) looked aged and worn.

Cons: There was no minibar, no fridge at all. the dirty towel we put on the ground was picked up and removed but not replaced. The cheap plastic glasses in the bathroom, should be renewed every day, in my opinion, that was not done. In hindsight I guess we overpaid the hotel bar. The bill could not be this amount for what we had.

Pros: The room was large with ocean view and a terrace. The breakfast was awesome - with custom-made waffles and omelettes. The staff was really helpful. The location is at the end of the town, but is right on the beach and near many eat/drink places.
Cons: Nothing really - everything was nice.

Pros: This was a really quaint, quirky place to stay. Staff were all super-smiley, helpful, informative and multi-lingual. The hotel really is right by the beach, easy to access by tram from Den Haag Centraal and within easy walking distance of the local attractions. My daughter and I were made to feel very welcome. We would definately stay here again.

Pros: Great hotel at excellent location directly at the beach. Need nothing more for a great summer break! Breakfast is excellent. Parking is not free but available and a bit of an issue in Scheveningen (quite expensive). Might improve when new boulevard is fully operational. Public transport (tram) is directly accross the hotel, great connection with Den Haag centre and with railway station!
Cons: Dutch weather is unpredictable but that's nothing Carlton can improve on :) Just kidding, nothing I did not like at all!!!

Cons: Next to construction site, but soon finished. Menu choices a bit limited, service a bit slow. Carlton beach club is not below hotel, but somewhat left, and was not always open (early Sept.)

Pros: My preferred place to stay in the Hague/Scheveningen. Always clean, efficiently run, with an adequate restaurant and an excellent breakfast service--above typical Dutch standards. The rooms are attractive and include a kettle, ironing board, and iron--also above typical Dutch standards.

Cons: Beds & furniture are aged and appeared incomplete - e.g. missing lights. Cleaning of the lights, under the closets and windows could be better.

Pros: The view. The hotel staff called on receipt of our booking to tell us of possible heavy traffic due to a local Marathon event. I am sure this got our stay off to a very good start and made it enjoyable.

Cons: On the first night, my coffee wasn't replaced. I need a drink when I get back from work. The tram was quite loud - maybe double glazing ?

Pros: The place itself and the building are absolutely stunning perfect for couples & families, the view of the sea from the (micro) terrace is also very nice and romantic. Easy access by public transport. Spa is perfect everything you need is there except somebody at the desk (if someone need somethings...) Room service pretty basic and expensive but quality was ok and taste was good ! Mini bar was quiet complete but nobody at the reception desk told us that it was free (so we didn't have the chance to really enjoyed it unfortunately) Bed and pillows were ok but nothing crazy for a 5 stars.

Pros: Beautiful hotel and location, on the beach facing the sea. It's old fashioned architecture overwhelmed me, it won't be the same if is a contemporary. From the hotel restaurant you can enjoy your meal and view on the ocean. It has good connections with other parts of the city by public transport. Neighborhood is quite (during october) tough there is a lot of restaurants and casinos around. In every room is a guide, book, for everything you need to visit in the Haag, for me an old fashioned way to learn and got a right information about the city. I recommend this hotel!!

Cons: The bed was way too soft, like a sponge! Very uncomfortable. The room was very cold the first night, no one seemed to know how to increase the temperature. I asked the front desk twice for extra blankets which never came. When I asked the cleaning staff the next morning, the extra blankets were on the bed 30 mins later.

Pros: We liked the location and the views. We liked the kids area at the restaurant.
Cons: The hotel is dated and the rooms are quite dirty. Lots of dust and stained carpet. The lifts kept breaking, so the wait was rather on the long side. The staff is impersonal and the restaurant service quite slow in the evening. We waited over 1h just for starters in the evening. The 25 euro pp breakfast was not the standard you would expect.

Cons: No informations at the arrival from the reception desk, a bite cold, overbusy, nobody told us about the spa access, beauty treatments, "Minibar/roomservice" restaurant or events happening in the hotel or around at this moment (so absolutely no informations at all) that's a shame... Then we didn't even touch the minibar, such a waste... I was also very disappointed by the housekeeping service and how my booking have been treated. I notified on booking.com that i wanted a full king size bed and then we had the bad surprise of having two single separated beds quickly transformed in a cheap king size bed with not even a real blanket to cover the bed... That's unacceptable for a five stars really... Very Cheap quality of the furnitures, slipper shoes, robe & towels, etc... we also really missed a mini sofa in the room and the terrace was too small for really being enjoyable. The bathroom was clean and nice but the space itself is really basic honestly nothing crazy at all, a bite overdated looks more like 3/4 stars hotel.

Cons: The service in Waves restaurant was slow. The food was excellent. There were alot of staff in the restaurant but I had to call them over in order to place an order for drinks and food.
