I’ve stayed in 100’s of hostels and this is one the best. First thing it’s right on the beach, and some of the dorms have patios overlooking the water, has a hot tub and a sauna, how good is that? I came to Ubatuba mid-week in the winter and the whole town is pretty tranquil, but the owner Vini and others were incredible. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, they even drew on a map the best places to eat, best beaches and how to get there. Felt a lot more like staying with friends in a beachside house than a typical hostel.
Staff super friendly and so helpful- owner Vinni even offered to give us a lift into the town when we asked for a recommendation for dinner our first night! Seen loads of other incidences where they went out of their way to help others! Always there for info on places to go, surf and beaches Really clean, Lockers in rooms, Good kitchen, Pool table, Laundry room you can use for only 10BRL, Big bathrooms with good showers, On the beach front, All you eat bbq with Caipirinhas on Saturday night which was great! Good music and great way to meet people!
Nothing much atal! Maybe hard mattress, Not many places to eat within walking distance but good bakery/supermarket around the corner and places along the beach open until about 5pm Couple of cats in the hostel, didn't bother us but just worth noting for anyone that's allergic!
The staff is amazing! Very friendly and going out of their way to make you feel at home. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it, also during low-season where everything is a bit more laid-back and calm.
It’s a good location between beautiful beaches in the north and access to the main strip of shops & restaurants to the south. If you’re looking for a lively hostel this place is great. They do a BBQ with all-you-can drink Caipirinhas and shots on a Saturday night, play lots of drinking games and have music playing. The surfing is also good here.
Mosquitos everywhere, far more than other places we’ve been too in Brazil. The toilet bins were not cleaned out for 2 days. The toilet downstairs was pretty grubby sometimes. It just wasn’t the hostel for us because we’re not big drinkers or party goers but can definitely see the appeal for solo-travellers looking to party.
Good location and the staff were friendly.
The place needs a little tlc. Mattress protectors were moudly in places, the drain smell from one of the bathrooms upstairs wasn't nice. One of the curtain rails had fallen off the wall and the curtains themselves were not in good shape. Disappointing.
