Pros: Best resort . Fabio and Eliana are the best hostes. Fabio came to pick us from the port and than he walked with us and did us a little tour in the island and explained about the important places . His wife wated for us with fresh pan de ceso (cheese bread) and water . The place looks amazing, very clean and comfortable, they have a full equipped kitchen with grucceries you can buy in the same price of the market . The view from the porch is incredible in the night and even more in the morning. Its isolated , quiet and romantic. When we traveled to a different place from morro , Fabio took care of us and send us a message to see that we are ok and we got to our next destination safe.

Pros: Bangalô dos sonhos is a piece of paradise on earth. We stayed there for 3 days, the 7 of us and everything went great. We had the 3 bedrooms in the property and all 3 of them are gorgeous with incredible views of the ocean. The location is at the top of the mountains, you will have a breathtaking view of the island. Fabio and Eliana were the cherry on the top. They were warm and genuine. Checked on us through out our stay to see if we needed something. Fabio prepared the best caipirinha for us to enjoy by the pool. Eliana brought us on our second day a very thoughtful fruit basket. They offer a basket of groceries in the bedrooms for you to consume for the same price you would pay for it at the grocery store. The property is not in the middle of the city so you’re actually able to enjoy walking around and seeing more things. I would come back here in a heartbeat!!

Pros: Fabio and Eleina are really friendly and helpful (even though we did not speak the same language), the communocation was supeer easy and Fabio's capirinhas excellent;) The view from the bungalows is breathtaking! We wish we could stay longer.

Cons: The only things to improve are the poor lightning in the cabin and the relatively small bed. For two normal sized people, the matrace should be bigger and more stable.

Pros: The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very comfortable, with great view and the location of the pousada is ideal. Also their garden is beautiful.

Pros: Lovely staff! They were super attentive and the breakfast was one of the best ones that I had in a pousada. Even though the hotel was not near the main beaches, it is a nice walk through some stores. The room had a nice hammock with a lovely forest view.

Cons: Be prepared for going on lots of stairs, since the hotel does not have an elevator. The pathway to the pousada is made of sand, so have closed shoes :) also, the neighbourhood is not very pretty but at least is safe.

Pros: Staff: Adrian was an amazing host. Possibly the nicest hostel owner we've met Breakfast: Again, one of the best we've had. Basic, but all freshly cooked and so much variety: eggs, tapioca, fresh coffee, fried plantain Room: Comfy, spacious, private bathroom and private hammock/balcony Location: Five minutes from the port and the main square, two minutes from great restaurants (try Dice 10) and 10min from the main beaches

Pros: The rooms were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean; the shower was great; breakfast was delicious; the hammocks were a nice touch; the location is fantastic (it's a 10 minute walk to a deserted, secret beach) and the owner, Jose, and his son, Tadeo, are absolute legends (also, huge thanks to Tadeo's girlfriend who very kindly baked my sister a cake on her birthday). Book now - you won't regret it!

Pros: Comfortable room, friendly staff and beautiful pool area with great views. We had a problem with our initial room on the first day and they moved us to a bigger and better room and arranged some surprises as it was my husbands birthday.

Pros: The sunset view from the room and the pool is remarkable. In the island you’re going to find tours selling the “sunset view” as part of the route, but you already have one of the best views from your own room if you want it. The staff is extremely polite and prepared and the restaurant of the hotel is one of the best from the island as well.

Cons: It was very noisy during the night to sleep given the location. The neighbour hotel had very loud music and also there was a boat party who was playing very loud music around 2 and 4 am.

Pros: The location with the view over the sea, especially from the infinity pool, is just amazing. The proximity to the ferry station.

Cons: Not a good value for money. Compared to the other hotels this is way overprized and overpromising. The pictures are not even close to reality. The attitude of the staff is far away from being motivated. We were surprised by the high prices and zero awareness for hosting and service like no showerstuff, no water on the room, no flexibility at the restaurant/choice of dishes. All ok in a hostel, but not for a hotel which costs more than 200 a night. Fair to say: Ok location and amazing view. Location/view: Away from the main beach, view on the sea and arriving boats.

Pros: Staff were really friendly and helpful. From the very start we felt very welcome. Breakfast was exceptional, eggs, bread, granola, lots of cake, juice tea, fruit. The rooms were nice, air conditioning and clean with fridges. Also I left my coat behind and they contacted me to arrange me picking it up and then when they saw me on the street came up to let me know they had it. Really nice place to stay.

Pros: Such an incredible stay here! Mateus and Camila were incredible hosts, giving us great tips on the best beaches of the island and helping us arrange things to do. So accommodating and welcoming :) the location is perfect, close to beaches on both sides of the islands and stores/restaurants. Breakfast was also awesome!

Cons: Truly cannot fault anything, we had everything we needed. Rooms were simple and clean. Overall a great experience

Pros: Great accommodation, super clean, very quite, strong air conditioner, fridge, good shower, Tv with Netflix access, every balcony have a hammock for relax, delicious breakfast with many options. The owner Mateus is very professional, super kind, nice and accommodating, he waited us for the check in until 23pm, he gave us a lot of tips about the place. Great atmosphere, I really recommend this lodge if you go to Morro de São Paulo! Thanks so much Muito obrigado :)

Pros: I had an extremely enjoyable stay. Miguel and Li who manage the property were particularly friendly and helpful. On my first night, when I came up to ask for some local information, they invited me to stay for dinner with them and their friends. The accommodations are attractive, clean and with unique views over the area. As others have stated, there are stairs and you should not book if you have mobility issues.

Pros: Wonderful views and great room with terrace. The owner is very friendly, speaks English (not a given in Brazil) and the location is quiet but not too far from the action of the village

Pros: This pousada has an amazing view and is located in a very peaceful spot. The breackfast was great and the beach Porto de Cima is very close to the pousada and it is very beautiful and clean.

Pros: We totally loved the place. Originally booked one night but decided to stay another one. Werner goes out of his way to give his guests a wonderful stay in a very relaxed setting. Great for tips on what to do, amazing breakfast view and cute comfortable rooms. 110% recommended!

Cons: The staff was horrible! We booked the room months in advance and when we were on our way to the hotel they messaged me to say that they don’t have a room available because they overbooked the same room. They first said that they already arranged for us to stay in a cheaper and uglier hotel. Then they offered us to stay one night in a different hotel and the second night in Natureza Hotel in an upgraded room with jacuzzi. After a phone call with booking.com customer service we realised that we don’t have any other option, all the other good hotels were sold out, so we had to accept their offer. A very bad experience overall , the other hotel was worse than anything that i seen before. Be careful if you book with them!

Cons: Breakfast was the worst - nothing was fresh, even the bread was dry. Most things were inedible and on our last day they were many people at the breakfast room and staff could were not even close to handling the situation

Pros: Excellent location right on the Town square. Also near the boat landing and walkable to all the beaches. My room was very quiet and extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Cons: had a little problem with the AA, it lasted too long to actually get the room climate good, and as we were 3, one of the beds was located right down the AA so, the one sleeping there could suffer the direct air in the face(we fixed it by just moving the bed a little)

Pros: The Pousada O Casarao is one of the most beautiful houses in Morro de Sao Paulo. It is in the main place, with easy access from the port. It also has a wonderful restaurant. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were so beautiful, bed sheets soft and the shower was perfect as well. The kids loved the pool. The garden is so very beautiful, I did not see anything similar in other Pousadas there.

Pros: Organised, pretty little chalets, quiet but close to town

Cons: The first 24hrs there was no power to the island, so no air con, no lights, no internet, whilst this was the fault of the electricity company, the hotel offered nothing in terms of compensation. Hotels in places that has seemingly regular power outages should most definitely have generators, our first day of two nights was ruined, we couldn’t even leave the hotel! Instead sat by candlelight in a baking hot chalet, the management were not around on check out to complain! Nothing was offered all but a few skinny candles. A small compensation would have been appropriate in this situation and in turn it’s up to the hotel to complain to the electricity company. If you think of staying here keep in mind the hotel has regular power outages so check your hotel has back up generators.

Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly. Always willing to accommodate our requests. Breakfast was excellent and in a comfortable place and the cabin was very big and comfortable and quiet at night.

Cons: There was almost nothing to not like about this hotel. The only point that may not please everyone is the location close to the docks and far from the beaches. But it makes it easier to arrive and check-in.

Pros: I loved our 2 day stay, would recommend it to everyone. The hotel is perfectly located next to the pier, built on the cliffs just where your boat arrives. So you don't need to drag your bags all the way up a steep hill if you stay in this hotel. A minute walk (hike up) to all the cosy shops and a couple of minutes to the beautiful beaches. Room had an awesome view over the sunset in the sea and the pool. Great food, drinks and breakfast. We had the family room for 4 people, it was very big. Every room is a separate cottage with hammocks on the balcony. Helpfull staff.

Cons: The swim up pool bar was not operating. It is a good thing this location is convenient because the facilities and service levels are not overwhelming.

Pros: I guess there are few reasons why you would want to spend a night in Valenca as a tourist other than if you want to get the boat to Boipeba or one of the other islands and you arrive in Valenca too late to get the last boat. So this motel style hotel is probably as comfortable and safe as it is going to get in Valenca, and you are very close to the port to catch the boat next morning. The food and drinks were pretty good, all things considered. Not luxurious or stylish, and rather run down, but perfectly good and reasonable value for money.

Pros: Swimmers pool, lots of birds including a macaw and parrot. Great breakfast.

Cons: The building is quite run down but the place still has a great vibe!

Pros: Exceeded our expectations, by a lot. Large hotel with 5 star feeling! Very nice staff, beautiful green setting incl view of the river from balcony and terras . Dinner was excellent!
