The Velassaru Maldives is like stepping into your own private paradise. Take the 25 minute speedboat ride from the Male International Airport and arrive at this secluded atoll where relaxation, scenic beauty and total peace are emphasized. South west of Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean, the Maldives is a republic, an independent island nation. It features around 1,2000 small islands and atolls, and this luxurious hotel sits atop one of them. The South Male Atoll, as noted, is a short boat ride from the airport and gazes out on nothing but the sparkling ocean waters and nearly cloudless skies.
The hotel features a small island and an array of bungalows built as an interconnected system of piers or land-based cottages and rooms.
