Beautiful location, gorgeous hotel. Nice ammenities
Food was expensive. The sister hotel has a little store that this hotel does not have to buy fast food, liquor, and candy.
This was a complete 5-Star experience. First, you walk into the lobby and the design and beach view take your breath away. We received a very warm welcome at reception, which was added to by the icy cold tropical fruit juice and cold towels. Check-in was super fast, and we were soon in our beautifully designed room, which was spacious and thoughtfully-furnished. (And thanks for the upgrade from a partial to a full-ocean view!) Lovely, spacious lanai. VERY roomy, well-designed bathroom, with up to date shower and yes, a modern toilet with a bidet. Have you ever closed your eyes and imagined a classic Hawaiian beach? Well open your eyes, and take in the hotel's beach. It's that lovely. Add in two pools, one for all and one for adults only, with a jacuzzi. We didn't take advantage of it, but the gym looked large and modern. But our highest accolades are reserved for Elizabeth, our server at Meridia restaurant. I've reviewed it separately, but we had a wonderful meal there. As a result of our brief stay there, we have become loyal Westin guests, and would definitely seek it out over other five-star brands, including the Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton. (Yes, it's THAT good.)
Amazing beach, great views and comfortable, modern rooms
Beautiful setting, very peaceful. The resort perfectly blends nature with luxury. From the rooms to the restaurants and common areas, the beautiful ocean and coastline are always in view and perfectly framed.
The beach. The adult pool area and of course access to Turtle Point and trail to Mauna Kea. And Harley the cat,
I thought the the food at the pool bar restaurant was pretty bad compared to our past visits (pre-Westin). The prices were outrageous for the poor quality food and drink. Pump cheese on the nachos, a $25 lobster roll that was mostly mayo and probably out of a can. 2 club sodas $15. The F&B department needs a revamp. Resort fees plus $25/nt parking?
