I bought a top of the range room. Deluxe double and upgraded for special occasion. What I got was nothing more than a tarted up travel Inn room. No pillow variation, small room, bath with chip in in. Tiny bath. Wobbly toilet seat. No difference in bedding. Also the photos on the website very deceiving. Especially breakfast which was nothing more than a third rate buffet. Half the stuff was missing and fruit section poor.
In a good location

Breakfast was OK but not great. Would have liked better quality musli and more and better fresh fruit (e.g. blueberries, raspberries, grapes). Like thick natural greek yoghurt, pity it ran out. Mushrooms were far better than you get in most places. Location was very pleasant although for most people the view from the room was the car park. Difficult to get away from the hotel if you do not have a car. Maybe need a shuttle bus to Warrington? Gym and swimming pool were really good.
Difficulty getting to places if you didn't have a car. Maybe could have a shuttle bus a couple of times a day to nearby places such as Warrington. Don't want big breakfasts, would have been happy with cereal, fruit, yogurt and coffee. But you pay the same irrespective of what you want and £10 is a lot for what I wanted. Spa treatment was very expensive. We live in the South East where everything is expensive but spa treatments here are far cheaper than what you had on offer (i.e. about half the price)
Helpful staff. The Superior rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast is excellent with a wide choice as well as friendly service. Dinner is reasonable although somewhat pricey. Location is good - or not - depending on what you want to do. It is very close to M56 and M6. Morning traffic can be horrendous. Is on a bus route into Warrington, which is handy.
The "optional" service charge being automatically applied to dinner. Plus a line for gratuity! Ironically since the room service tray charge is £4 and the "optional" charge on dinner for a couple is usually more than that, it is actually cheaper to have dinner brought to your room!!
Jacuzzi capacity needs to be bigger
Staff were very pleasant
