Setting is lovely. Bathrooms good size.
Food was so so. Uninspired food and presentation. Front desk check in not well trained and lacked basic knowledge of property. She called for help but no one responded.

Overview
A destination for all seasons, the Sun Mountain Lodge is located in Winthrop, Washington, a town nestled in the Methow Valley of the Cascade Mountains. Each year, the lodge earns awards for its accommodations, making it one of the top places to stay in western Washington.
The complex spans multiple lodges and locations, offering a plethora of room options. Aiming to please guests looking for a more rustic vacations, many of the rooms do not feature televisions. However, plenty of other amenities are present, including free Internet access, CD players, and fireplaces, in most rooms. Guests looking for an experience different from the usual lodge environment can look at booking the Patterson Lake cabins. Sixteen lakeside cabins with full kitchens, gas fireplaces, and expansive porches, these separate structures can house between two and eleven guests, depending on the selected option.
Two restaurants can be found on-site at the Sun Mountain Lodge. The casual option is called the Wolf Creek Bar & Grill and its highlights include a 180-degree view of the valley, and outdoor seating, for warmer months. A more formal option is the Lodge’s main dining room, which has earned the AAA Four Diamond Award for 27 consecutive years.
Just under five hours away from Seattle, the Sun Mountain Lodge is a bit far away from the city for a weekend getaway. However, the lodge offers plenty to keep guests entertained for a long weekend. A full-service spa, wedding venues, multiple pools and hot tubs, and tennis courts can all be found on the premises.
