Situated in North Yorkshire in the northern part of England is the York Marriott Hotel. The hotel has many amenities to offer like a full-service spa and an outdoor tennis court that guests can enjoy. The hotel houses 151 rooms that come in deluxe, superior, Grandstand, and suite. The Grandstand has a furnished balcony with a view of the York racecourse and extra space. Suites have the view and balcony, as well as a separate living space to spread out in. All rooms come with a plethora of other amenities that include pillow menus, premium linens, large smart TVs with premium programming, and coffeemakers. Note that there is a surcharge to use the WiFi.

York Marriott Hotel has an in-house restaurant called Cast Iron Bar & Grill that serves all three daily meals. The menu changes based on what’s in season and dishes are made with locally-sourced ingredients. Breakfast is served buffet-style for a fee. There is room service available around the clock.

This location has its own spa called Select Beauty Salon. Guests can book skin treatments, massages, and a number of other experiences. A very friendly hotel for a young family. The hotel is a little dated though charming overall. Excellent location, easy parking, pleasant view of the racecourse, clean garden for the kids to run around in (aside the tired garden toys), and a very nice renovated spa and pool. Will definitely come again.

Pros (+) Staff at check-in were friendly & efficient. My room was a good size and well presented. Bed linen was good quality. Lots of clean, fluffy towels in the bathroom. Breakfast was reasonable value and at check-out everything was handled well. Plenty of car parking.
Cons (-) Beds were a little soft for my preference, and the bathroom decor/facilities were a bit outdated. Bathroom was clean though, and everything worked well.
