Pros: Comfy, quiet rooms. Staff were really friendly & breakfast was excellent.

Pros: Nice breakfast spread. Great location.
Cons: Due to a recent remodel, we had to go up to the third floor and then down a long hallway, take a small set of stairs, followed by another elevator to get to our room. This was very inconvenient for traveling with luggage or had one of us been disabled.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good hotel close to centre of town. Comfortable room, very clean. Recommended.
7.0 Good
Pros: breakfast was amazing location was great
Cons: Room was small, layout meant the door opened right into the bed... the bed was 2 singles pushed together, not a double and we kept falling into the middle... not comfortable at all water had the cloudy sulphur smell... 6 hotels during our visit and only one that had this issue
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cute hotel in a great location. Close to the city center and the waterfront. Great breakfast! Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Rooms were a little dated but they were clean and we'll equipped. Not a big deal for me but thought I would mention it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was a good size with a very comfortable bed, powerful warm shower, with heated bathroom floor. Due to CV-19 the breakfast was left in our mini-bar. This was excellent and provided plenty of nutrition for the day ahead and was really appreciated by both of us. The location was perfect - a short walk from the town centre, with the restaurants and shops whilst being close to the main road and beautiful scenery. Although we didn't meet the staff due to isolation measures, they were helpful and easily contactable to help us gain access to the Hotel. The room had good facilities with a hair dryer, drink glasses, kettle and a safe.
Cons: The door on the room was a little stiff so had to be pulled tight to ensure it was shut when leaving the room. We liked the pin code entry to the room - which was a nice touch.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was small but cosy and is perfect for one or two nights. Able to walk to centre of the town in less than 5 mins. Really liked Akureyri!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located very close to city center, to the main streets, the shopping area and the harbour. It was also easy to access from the airport (3,5 km away). We received a room at the highest floor as we requested. Nice view of the fjord. In the winter, the room is warm, with a comfortable bed and a simple bathroom with all the facilities. The room has a keetle, cups, teabags and coffee. The breakfast is served in the reception lobby, which during evenings into a nice bar with a lot of options in winter :) You have a lot of options at breakfast, even a wafflemaker.
Cons: The furniture in the rooms is a little bit outdated and it has dark colours. We could not make the refrigerator to work (maybe it was broken). In the bathroom, the ventilation hole was dirty with a lot of dust from the airflow.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: Small breakfast area
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Car parking is convenience right in front of hotel save my effort especially 3 luggages to manage. Walking distance to city center and my ice cream shop.
Cons: Buffet breakfast not available due to covid19, but owner put effort to deliver to room. We have to eat from bench and make our own coffee. Just a comment not a complaint.

Cons: Jacuzzi wasn't enclosed, so couldn't use it at night
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fine, from the hotel to the staff! It was wonderful waking up to see the fiorde right in front of us!
Cons: Nothing to say...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a great place to stay just outside of Akureyri. The room was small but clean and comfortable with a big window for viewing the aurora, and next to the dining area was a comfortable lounge area with spectacular views of the snow capped mountains and the fjord. The breakfast was the best selection of our trip so far, and coffee and tea were available all the time, which was great after being outdoors in the cold. The concierge was fantastic! We had been traveling the ring road and had to do laundry so we asked for the location of a laundromat. He let us use the hotel’s laundry facility for free. He also scraped the frost from the windshields as people were checking out. We stayed two nights as a rest stop after some pretty intense road trip days and it was a great, comfortable place to take a rest before continuing on the other half of the trip. It’s close to downtown Akureyri, and it’s also very close to a sweet little museum of a turf and stone farm called Laufás, that was a very pleasant surprise just down the street.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff informed us about sighting northern lights which allowed us to get an unexpected view!
Cons: No glasses or cups in the room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, good breakfast and a great hot tub
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and well located, room with private bathroom and good breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, staff and the overall feel.loved it
Cons: We were very keen to use the kitchen facilities but unfortunately could not as not offered by the property
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I was so impressed with this hotel! I wasn't expecting much given the price I paid, but this was probably my favourite hotel out of all of the ones I stayed at in Iceland over 10 days. The view of the sunset from the hotel was beautiful (overlooking the fjord and mountains), and in the evening I was able to see the northern lights from my room as well. The breakfast was really nice and included warm options. There is also free coffee/espresso and tea available to all guests in the main dining area. There's also a hot tub, which is just amazing under the northern lights. The staff member who greeted me was very friendly and was able to provide me with excellent advice for things to do in Husavik (which is where I was headed the next day). Definitely staying here again if I'm near Akureyri.
Cons: The washroom was a bit cramped.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The room looked very nice
Cons: Light didn’t work, bathroom smelled like crazy
5.8 Okay
Pros: The beds were comfortable.
Cons: Bathroom smelled bad and was in rather bad shape. Bad location, and no staff nearby. The phone number for staff which was on a plaque at the property was an inaccurate number. Therefore it was hard to get help.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Very nice location and clean.
Cons: There was no electricity and nobody cared about it. All the visitors contacted the reception and tried to solve the problem, but nobody from the Guesthouse seemed willing to fix the situation and did nothing at all.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet, relaxed, supernice receptionist. Very low price and good value for money.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location is good. Very close to city center and liquid store. It has nice view.
Cons: Before I booked the stay I called the reception and asked if there is some kitchen available so we could prepare a dinner since we were going to stay at the camp site and we found it closed. The receptionist lied to me saying there is a kitchen available and it will not be a problem to prepare a dinner. The only thing we found was a tiny refrigerator and microwave in the other part of the guesthouse (you need to go outside and walk around the house to the main entrance to get there). The toilet was just loud. The ventilation fan makes a lot of noise as same as the shower. Literally the noise that could wake you up. There is some issue with water pressure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We got an upgrade into their other guesthouse and from 1 to 2 rooms, which was fantastic. Staff is very nice, they respond quickly to any questions through written messages and are quickly there when needed. It is a lovely place with nice rooms. The kitchen is small in Hrafninn but well equipped. We loved our stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice guesthouse with soul, clean and tidy, we had great time ;)
Cons: Small problems with shower...

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostel was very quiet. We were on the 4th floor. We are 'flashpackers' as opposed to backpackers and we always stay in private rooms these days,Beds were comfortable and we had two toilets and two hand-basins across the corridor .Showers were downstairs which was a little different but the exercise is good .Breakfast was simple but nice.
Cons: When we initially checked in the young lady was rather busy so she only provided us with a few details. We had a car and we asked where we should park and she said in the public parking lot behind the hostel. She said that we would need to get a permit from the bank or petrol station.Whilst this is factually correct in the morning we learnt that the hostel was also able to provide permits. I think it would be a good idea to have a printout of information for travelers ,particularly those with cars,so that we get the correct information about where and when we can park, parking permits etc etc
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Bar and restaurant downstairs
Cons: You had to pay extra for a blanket. Extremely crowded downstairs. No towels.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Bar area is really nice with a gaming console. Managed to get a Nintendo Switch plugged into the HDMI of the TV and played at the bar which was decent.
Cons: Didn't realise duvets weren't included but could be rented for extra price. Showers are on the lower ground floor whereas out rooms were on the 2nd floor. Had to stay due to a storm in the same city so managed to find a much better accommodation for way cheaper.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Close to central Cleaning
Cons: Blankets require extra payment. It has been emphasized that blankets are not needed, but cashiers are forcing them to pay for blankets.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: comfortable accommodation in the city center. we lived on the fourth floor and had views of the mountains.
Cons: parking was a few minutes away from the hostel
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the room
Cons: I would have liked two pillows
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is in central location and staff were very friendly. It’s also having bar and cafe, I really enjoyed food over there.
Cons: The drawback is noisy bed and shower is in basement, not on the floors of the rooms.

Cons: walls are like paper
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and we were greeted as soon as we arrived and made to feel very welcome.
Cons: Blinds or curtains to block out daylight. Dawn can very early on this part of the world.
7.7 Good
Cons: Did not have the correct room. Only one double bed and we asked for 2 single.... we had to book somewhere else...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean room with comfortable bed in nice building in excellent location, right on the town 'square' - very easy 5 minutes or less walk to everywhere in town centre and plenty of restaurants nearby. Bathroom was small and a bit dilapidated but was good enough. Overall this room was excellent value. Also, make sure you try out the local swimming pool whilst in Akureyri, it was wonderful and very inexpensive!
Cons: The bathroom was nicely decorated but tiny and we had a couple of problems with it during our stay, but nothing major and not enough to put us off returning to this place, which was great overall.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location.
Cons: I wish there was a small refrigerator in the room.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location superb, hosts amazing, breakfast great
Cons: Bathroom floor a little creaky so could wake others up in night
6.3 Good
Pros: The cottage is nicely located in a quiet area facing the fjord. It is not big, but has everything you could need. The best thing is that you can see the fjord sitting in the bed! Nice horses are around.
Cons: The attitude of the owner was disappointing. I booked 7 months in advance and I clearly said that I will arrive at 1pm. No one told me in 7 months that this is not possible. In fact they didn't care. There is no notice about the fact that the reception is opened only from 8 to 12 and from 15 to 22 and there is no luggage storage. The lady who welcomed us didn't do anything more than the minimum required, therefore we didn't feel welcomed at all. It's a pity and left a bitter taste despite the fact that the place is quit nice. The shower was dirt, with hair and a lot of dirt on the side, the sink also. The towels were very "tired" and shabby. Beds were too soft for us, but this is a matter of taste. Breakfast was quite poor, with no local products, only very basic things from the supermarket. Being a guesthouse one should expect something more home made not only jams from supermarket.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A lot. ..
Cons: Shower space, but no big deal

Pros: I loved the cozy cottage feel, and how inviting the staff was.
Cons: The shower is TINY!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The facilities
Cons: The bath tubs close too soon (around 20h/20:30h)

Pros: The outdoor hottub with 1 meter of snow all around was amazing! (Just a suggestion for the hotel: install a small covered deck so that people could let there the towels to keep them dry while in the hottub; we had to leave them under the snow).
