Severely in need of updating
Location was nice close to shopping, food, beach
Musky old smell, carpet is severely and stained, bed felt springy, tub and bath is stained, heavily over caulked and the showerhead is one of this spray nozzle like a hose. Little to zero I sulation on walls, can hear almost everything. This is a 1 star establishment not much better than a Motel 6. It would be great if the place was just demolished and an upgraded/ better place put in place to give Alameda more hotels for visitors to local tech companies.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Overall cleanliness of room was OK just smelly weird. It was an old dated room with average cleanliness. TV from 1972.The location was great.
Wi fi problems
Great breakfast; rooms were quite roomy and clean; wifi was good; balcony was nice touch. Walking up steps not easy.
This is in an excellent location if you need to get to downtown Oakland without actually staying in the city. It's also near major stores and restaurants. Will stay here again.
Size of the room Fridge and stove not to fat from San Francisco
The lobby and ailse rug was dirty. We had to ask every night for 4 towels eventhough we hung the towels to make sure they will not be changed Lack of table for breakfast.
My family and I have stayed there multiple times and have enjoyed it each time. Helped us to discover the quant was of Alameda.
The bathrooms are in need of refreshing.
The staff was very friendly and it is right in downtown Alameda which is great because it's just a walk to shops, restaurants and bars. Being by the bay was nice considering the price of the room.
The decor is from the 80's. It reminded me of staying in an old cabin, the room was huge with a balcony which was great but the rooms need a serious update. All the furnishings looked like it was found at a garage sale or thrift store but not in a hip way. The pictures of the rooms on the website were a bit deceiving.
Staff is friendly and facilities and grounds were very clean.
While very clean, the rooms, especially the bathrooms, are worn and dated.
The young lady that helped us at the front desk was kind and very helpful. We got an upgrade to a upstairs room. The Inn was nicely located across from a large shopping center with plenty of options for shopping and food purchases.
The room smelled of old musty cigarettes and it was a non smoking room, The counter and the toilet were ultra low the bathroom sink was 28inches high and the toilet was so low it felt like I was doing squats to sit on the toilet. The bed was very uncomfortable and very broken down in the middle like a soup bowl. the T.V. remotes did not work, not a big deal but noted. The place has not been updated in many years it seemed. and it is very noisy at night due to it be located next to a bowling alley. It felt as though most the guest were like apartment rentals just a weird feel.
The location is excellent, walking distance to beach and shopping Mall with grocery store directly across the street. My stay was business related so Internet access very important. Internet access was great and I was able to work from room daily. Majority of staff extremely friendly and helpful. Traveling solo, I felt very safe at this location. Would stay again and recommend to others.V
Very satisfied with my accommodations. There is nothing to dislike.
The pull-out bed was broken and the roll-away bed (to replace it) was uncomfortable.
The location was excellent
Room, expecially the carpet needed cleaning. Prior occupants obviously used kitchenette to cook and smell was still strong.
Easy access to San Francisco from that location, via ferry. Very safe area to stay in, clean suites, loved the continental breakfast that was offered. Shopping plaza across the street offered light dining choices (and shopping, too).
I liked the location, the price and the cleanliness. It is dated (1968?) but well kept.
Loved the location and the price, as well as the friendly and courteous staff. Will definitely return again
The decor needs a little bit of an update.
we enjoyed our stay in the Coral Reef Inn. Nice facilities, clean and spacious rooms.
The kitchen was good, but the kitchen utensils were not available (only in the guest kitchen), this was the only negative point about the Coral Reef Inn!
Nice and simple, i would recommend it to any one
The housekeeper do not know how to knock before coming in and should wait for request of anything form the guest before coming to the room...
Huge room, even with a small kitchen (oven, stove etc)
Without plates, utensils etc etc a kitchen is useless. The fridge had a weird smell (like 10-year old fungus).
The suite was spacious and a view of the lagoon; an excellent shopping center across the street
The television sets were small and the reception grainy, the full kitchen had no cokking pans, dishes, flatware, etc., and the mattress on the bed was very poor.
I enjoyed the view of the lagoon from my room. The suite in which I stayed was very roomy, clean and comfortable.
Add more choices for breakfast, please.
