Pros: Good, basic hotel with friendly staff. We were grateful of the option of am early breakfast.

Cons: Room was a little cramped for 4.

Pros: It's common hotel in the suburbs of the city, good breakfast (outstanding coffee) communicative personel, nothing to complaing.

Pros: Very good reception man; can speak English and is informative

Cons: The picture in the booking.com website isn't good like on the reality.

Pros: Clean comfortable. Kind staff.

Cons: Everything was fine. Maybe it was not that close to touristic area

Pros: The cot was put in our room for our child, so she could sleep comfortably without risking falling from the bed. The kitchen had beautiful marble countertops and the bathroom was decorated in a tasteful modern way. We were delighted with our stay.

Pros: I have been using this hotel for several occasions in Business Trips. This is my choice due to professionalism of the staff and comfort staying in the Hotel. The room service is ok and the breakfast is continental type with a lot of choice. There is parking available also around the hotel. A big plus point is the kind of "mini market" in the lobby with snacks, drinks and other stuff to eat.

Pros: We stayed 2 nights so we could go to Gibraltar and this was the perfect room 701, great balcony with Port view. Taxi to bus station was only €4.70. Delicious breakfast with so much variety. Would stay again.

Cons: Very limited restaurants in the area for dinner, restaurant at the hotel serves snacks only.

Cons: I missed something warm for breakfast. Tea is good but without scrambling eggs it is not a breakfast.

Pros: We stay here instead of Gibraltar since it is only 15-20 min away. We understood that Gibraltar was very small.

Pros: This is a really well kept hotel, the room was spacious and modern, the bed comfortable and the bathroom really good. And the breakfast was a big bonus, lots of selection and everything clean and well stocked. Thank you.

Pros: The hotel was spacious and very clean with a touch of luxury , thus is not a boutique hotel , it is a more traditional hotel which gives customer service . The staff on reception where very helpful and professional and other staff where friendly . The room had a large well fitted bathroom and large comfortable bed with a balcony overlooking the gardens. Very pretty . Private on site parking was free of charge .

Cons: Nothing to dislike , will definitely stay again , it was unfortunate that we didn’t have time to extend our stay .

Cons: Check In and Check Out very poor, slow, not welcoming. Slow service at lunch considering the restaurant was very quiet

Pros: Comfy bed, great shower. Very nice hotel with lovely grounds and the food was generally good (except for above). Great breakfast.

Cons: Check in. Given room key and found that the room was already occupied by someone else. When reported we were immediately upgraded to a better room so it was handled very well. Staff a bit indifferent when I said my meal was not cooked properly after being for "medium or well done" and finding it bleeding all over the plate. No corrective action taken by staff, only "sorry". No offer for a reduction in price so a little disappointed.

Pros: Lovely hotel in superb mature gardens, helpful hotel staff, rooms ample and well equipped!

Cons: Restaurant staff could be more attentive.

Pros: The reception was very attentive, kind and quick . The room was comfortable, as ever . The food was at the height of my former visits . I can really recommend this hotel , especially when you need a location , from where you have to continue your trip further on next day .

Cons: The service in the restaurant was not as good as all the times before. The head waitor had changed and when finally I got the entry course , I had to wait 25 minutes to get the matching wine I had ordered - and this only , because I had to call for it . Finally the wine arrived, but no excuse ! And the waitor did not seem to be able to recommend any wine: when I asked for a rosé wine, he could just read, what was written in the wine list - I am not illiterate !

Pros: This is a great little motor hotel just out of the centre. I have stayed before and was happy to come back. The room was great with a balcony which made it that little bit more comfortable. The lifts have been upgraded since my previous stay. The bar area has also been reworked and is a pleasant spot for a snack. As well as room and breakfast the hotel offers half board. great ambience great place to stay. Breakfast was very satisfactory.

Cons: Nothing really. Everything worked. Tea and coffee available. Staff friendly and clearly happy to ensure a great experience.

Pros: Good selection for the continental breakfast. Location is great only a short taxi ride or walk for the city centre and 30 mins via taxi from Tarif port. Would definitely stay there again.

Pros: The friendly staff was very helpful with the checkin and the free parking was also a big benefit. The new bathroom was just absolutely perfect.

Cons: The airco smelled like wet dog. Probably the previous visitor had its pet on the room. That is not a nice smell to stay in. The first pictures of the hotel page showed completed renovated rooms, unfortunately only our bathroom was renewed yet. Kind of misleading!

Cons: The location was great for us and bus as bus travellers as it’s actually ON the bus station , the downside of that is some noise and the view was of a bus station!

Pros: Everything was well organised and met our expectations. Next to bus station and therefore convenient for Gibraltar and ten minutes walk to port for Ceuta. Parking very convenient but quite expensive but the total bill still represents value for money.

Cons: Everything was fine but if you don't have local knowledge knowing where to park to unload etc is difficult.

Pros: The location is great. You can walk straight in to town and it is right next to the ferry port, the bus station and the train station. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We got a great dinner recommendation from the receptionist. The room felt like it had been very grand but was a bit dated now. Dispite this we had a very pleasant stay. It is great value for money.

Cons: The hotel felt like it was a bit past its prime. We were glad to be on the front looking over the road as opposed to the back looking over the bus station. The noise from the road was as expected in the night. The air con was very out of date and we could only seem to get it to pump out walm or tepid air.

Pros: Everything Best value for money in Andalusia . Huge room Balcony [ with furniture ! ]A view to the port. Very clean. Lovely helpful staff , had information on ferries to Tangiers , helped us book. They are right next to the bus station. [30/40 min bus ride to Gribraltar border ] 5/10 mins. walk to the free ferry bus to Tarifa port. 10\15 mins walk to the old town centre ,which is lovely.

Pros: It was in a great location had a balcony so we could sit outside. The staff were excellent very helpful indeed!

Pros: The bed is comfortable. Cleaning is done very properly. Good location next to bus and train station and not far from the harbour. Decent breakfast.

Cons: No central light, which made the room rather dark. Wi-fi is ok, but not always that strong. Especially in the bathroom you hear people in other rooms. Due to its location near the stations and the harbour it's further away from the city center.

Cons: Needs a little bit of tender loving care.

Pros: Breakfast is simple, just normal Continental. Fresh, nice coffee, fresh fruit, fresh bread etc. Staff lovely. It depends what you are looking for...Los Barrios is a small town but I know it well.

Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable. There's a mini fridge in the rooms which is really useful. The a/a worked well and the room was overall quite comfortable.

Cons: The smell of the air freshener in the room was a bit overwhelming and the bathroom noises from the other rooms can be intrusive at night.

Cons: Paid for a breakfast which wasn’t available before we checked out to catch a ferry.

Pros: It was a perfect location for us-there's a Hertz kiosk in the lobby which made returning iet car a breeze. Also, there's a nearby free shuttle to Tarifa si we could catch the ferry to Morocco easily. Comfortable.

Cons: It's a basic hotel, not terribly unique, but then we booked our for the location which more than made up for the atmosphere. Not the greatest breakfast but it worked.

Pros: We had a very large room and the staff was helpful.

Pros: The hotel is extremely comfortable. We were half board - breakfast and dinner. Breakfast buffet style. Dinner waiter service. The food is quiet bland and not very flavoursome. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Pros: The hotel is very colonial with nice grounds which provide a pleasant setting within a busy port area

Cons: Arranged an early breakfast with evening staff for 07.00 as opposed to the standard 07.15 start. Morning restaurant manager Alena was very rude stating the message had not been passed on and we should wait. Eventually we were allowed in. Not impressed with her attitude though other breakfast staff were pleasant and seemingly embarrassed by our treatment.

Pros: Outside of building, lobby, lounges all grand. Clean big comfortable room. Great buffet breakfast, walking distance to centre of town. Strong wifi throughout. Free parking, friendly staff. Good bedding, pillows and bedding. Nice toiletries in bathroom.

Cons: Mis- described - no buffet dinner and broken unusable fitness equipment. Dirty stairs carpet covered in dust and bits, on landing to rooms (level 2) it is stained. Not a good first impression. Our room was big and clean but dated and the walls are marked with scuffs and damage. Theres a grey faded shower head which looks circa 1980 over a bath with a shower curtain. The shower does work well though and is nice and hot once you fathom the tap control right down on the bath edge. Air conditioning does not work - just blows hot air out. The room telephone doesn't work - no dialing tone. Balcony is dusty and covered in leaves, the paint on the floor tiles peeling off. It looks like if you leant on the cracked walls they may collapse and they are stained with rust from the balcony railings. One English speaking channel on TV - BBC World News. Oh well we thought, at least there's a "FITNESS SUITE"...... The tiny "gym" is 4 square metres small with a manual non-electric bike with a which has a splitting seat with the foam padding crumbling off and broken pedal and foot strap. The cross trainer is also manual with a digital display but the batteries are dead so it cant be used as there is no way of changing the settings. Both look like they are from a skip. Then there's a tiny manual foot stepper and one small set of free arm weights but no space to use them. No running machine. The indoor pool is not heated and is tiny - 3 strokes would be one length. And it's cold unheated. The white non-slip edging is dirty with footprints and grime. The changing area/toilets are very basic, like at a campsite. No signs to the Sauna so have to hunt for it. The Sauna has the electric wiring in the control box outside the door hanging out, it should be in a locked safety box. It's a dry electric sauna and after the suggested 15 minutes warm up..it was not even warm.

Pros: The hotel is very grand with an amazing history. It is in a lovely location a short walk from the main port. As it is away from the main drag, it's nice and quiet at night. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was super clean with a great bathroom and comfy beds. Before our stay, I had read some reviews about the hotel being past it's prime. I can see where these guests are coming from as the building itself is historical. However, the building is stunning and our bathroom had been recently renovated. We had a lovely stay.

Cons: Breakfast was a bit expensive.

Pros: Handy location and nice grounds next to busy port

Cons: This was our second stay here but only because it is so close to Algeciras port and we felt our first poor stay may have been a one-off; it wasn’t. The staff are rude and treat you as an inconvenience. Breakfast starts at 7.15am, we arrived at 07.20 and selected fried bacon, fried eggs, beans, etc but shockingly the food was stone cold!

Pros: The desk clerk was friendly, helpful, & informative. The room had individual toilet facilities, air conditioning, & television service along with good Wi-Fi. The location was outstanding to catch a ferry, as it was a five minute walk. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Cons: It was hard to find, but I haven't been to a hostel yet that wasn't heard to find.

Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hostel is very close to the port. Perfect location to take the ferry.

Cons: The smeel of the room is not agradable. Simple room but clean. It was unconfortable to take a shower because the shower is not fixed on the wall.

Pros: On the beach, by Don Bernardo restaurant (very good).

Cons: Breakfast was limited in variety (probably because they were closing down for the season as we checked out).

Pros: Considering that the hostel sits on a beach between two huge port terminals with a view on Gibraltar - ithe beach was surprisingly clean.

Cons: The rooms were very very basic, the breakfast was less than basic. Around the hostel there is no place to eat really, one next door we planned to tray had a fight between locals and we thought that’s us we have to go to bed hungry, the we walked about 10min to get away from beach and we had a meal in nice place . There is so many dogs there so walking between their droppings was rather challenging. One advice , when you booking something check where it is .

Pros: Excellent location, right on the beach. Very good showers and really comfy beds. Clean. Didn't have breakfast. The staff were really friendly.

Cons: We booked 'superior' rooms (same price as 'normal'), but didn't realise this meant no sea view (although the rooms did have aircon & a small fridge, which was why they were 'superior'). We'd rather have had a sea view - though maybe rooms wouldn't have been so comfy.

Pros: The room had a balcony. There was a nice restaurant nearby. There is nothing to do nearby, only to stay at the beach.

Cons: The fan was very dirty with dead mosquitos in it. The TV remote did not work, so it was stucked on a single channel and a fixed volume level. We asked for double bed and we got a room with twin beds and were advised to push them together (but there was a piece of furniture fixed on the wall so that would have been impossible).

Cons: There where many mosquitoes in the room over night an dwe looked the like next morning. The strong-smelling of the bathroom (toilets) was kind of breathtaking.

Pros: Large clean basic ensuite rooms set in a beautiful old building a 10 minute walk from the port (boats to Morocco & Cueta) and 5 minutes to the train station.Good management and great value.

Pros: Bed felt comfy when we first got in, but both my husband and myself had back ache when we woke up, but soon went once up and moving about. Breakfast was not included. Staff was very friendly. Had a shower in bath and shower was very powerfull.

Cons: Place needs updating, but you got what you paid for, was all clean.didnt like that there was no parking, and very tiny streets to drive through to get to hotel. We had to park a couple streets away, which wasn't a biggy, only took 3mins to walk. My son had to go back to car later that evening and was approached by a lady wanting to go back to hotel with him, if you get my drift. But we did find a lovely Chinese and had a lovely meal.

Cons: We only stayed for one night following a late ferry from morocco. It was so hot! we knew we weren't going to have an air conditioner in the room but we did have a fan which did nothing. It was hotter in the room than outside

Pros: The hotel is close to the train and the bus station, there are stores and fast foods / restaurants around. The hotel and everything inside it are very old, but functional. The staff is nice, even though they don't speak much English. If you are on a budget, it is an acceptable accomodation option.
