The location and the room.
10JD parking fees for valet for just one evening is far too steep. And that too the car was parked on the road just a little away from the property. We checked in around 3pm and left by 7am the next morning. Besides this, our stay was really comfortable. Thank you
Great location in Downtown Amman, so easily accessible to the main tourist sites and experiencing the culture, food, markets etc. Found the local shop owners, tourist police very friendly and helpful. If you want to experience Amman like a local this is the location to stay. But unfortunately the hotel for the cost overall we didn’t find good value for money. it was expensive for the standard, facilities and breakfast it offers.
Having read the great reviews before our trip we were looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately our stay was not as expected.... We stayed for 3 nights. We were given a corner room which was so small we had to move the bed to open and close the curtains or get to plug sockets. You also had to walk sideways to walk between the end of the bed and the desk to move around the room. The bathroom was on the small size, had no shelving so we had to put our toiletries and wash bags on the floor by the bathroom sink. Okay at the shower there was one small corner shelf. Breakfast selection, quality and quantity was very poor. More than happy with a basic breakfast but on the first morning the choice consisted of hummus, two medium bowls of salad that was going off, Pitta bread and a few hard boiled eggs. Slightly more of the same and some Frankfurter sausages brought out the remaining days. Sadly left the hotel each morning still hungry and had to buy food. Reception staff didn’t overly engage, concierge when we asked for help speaking to a taxi driver advised us it would be fine, no need they all speak some English and understand and know where the main tourist attractions are. Unfortunately not the case with the taxi we hailed ourselves. said he spoke English so we got in, ten minutes later had to get out (didn’t know where we were) as he had no idea where one of the main tourist attractions the Citadel was. Appreciate all part of the experience and we don’t mind exploring and getting lost! but we were on a tight schedule that day so this was frustrating. At the end of the trip we stayed one further night in another Amman hotel which was practically the same night rate as the Art Hotel and the difference in standards, room size, facilities and food was staggering.
The bed was very comfortable, staff were friendly. And the location is great
The Internet was very bad and unstable, bathroom was missing a shower curtain so it gets very wet after showering
The best parts of Art Hotel were the very central location and the super friendly and helpful staff. We explored several areas of Amman and felt we were right in the heart of the best area to wander. All of the staff made us feel at home and went above and beyond to help us.
The rooms were sufficient but a little cramped and on the older side, and it was noisy from the street (which is unavoidable with Amman traffic, especially with the central location). The AC was a bit fussy, but fine.
A stay at Art Hotel Downtown places you in the heart of Amman, within a 10-minute walk of Amman Roman Theater and Gold Souk. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
